About this property

New Downtown Studio with Nespresso, Bikes & a Bidet.

This is short-term model. We only rent the studio for 2-nights at a time.
During this crisis, we have been disinfecting more stringently than ever.
This Studio is a pretty new space on the 1st floor of our townhouse. It has it's own private entrance which will only be used by our guests. Colette and I love to travel and the over-all bedding set-up is at the top of our list, we got turned onto Comfy Earth bedding that offers a fiber based bamboo sleeping experience, second to none. The Studio has lots of light and 9' ceilings. The Studio has a patio looking out onto a landscaped courtyard with comfortable chairs to help you enjoy happy hours or whatever hours. The studio has a full kitchenette including micro, fridge, toaster oven, hotplate, hotpot, filtered water, Sodastream, a French carafe and also a Nespresso with cream. We also have bikes that we will loan to our guests so you can enjoy the North Person Street Corridor and downtown Raleigh which is less than a mile away. We are 2 blocks from the free R-LINE bus which cycles thru every 15 minutes from 7 am to 11 pm and takes you thru downtown Raleigh and back. The city also has Lime bikes and Gotcha electric scooters. You can pick up an Uber or Lyft usually with less than a 5-minute wait.

This unit has a 55' Smart Roku TV with a Samsung sound bar complete with subwoofer. We provide most of the major channels, like Netflix, Starz, Showtime, HBO, Amazon Prime, Pandora and YouTube and too many more. Access Google to find what stations are offered thru Spectrum. For example, Showtime is channel 550 in the guide.

We often find that people leave early, if that is the case and you would like to get in early, say 10:ish or so, we will notify you.

We have had a few other VRBO units and had the distinction of being the No. 1 rated short-term rental properties out of 466 in this area in the past. We also have 2 other properties currently being offered thru the VRBO site.
Looking at these other properties, you should be able to get the flavor of what you might experience from our hosting style while staying at our "New Downtown Studio".

"Service animals" that are hypo-allergenic and smaller than 15 lbs. are OK, I have an allergy to most dogs, i.e, German Shepherds, Retreivers, Labs, so those types of dogs are not allowed in our properties.

All eligible people, from everywhere are welcome in our property.

Great location in Raleigh
Studio was in a great location for where I needed to be that weekend- minutes from downtown Raleigh. The host was very communicative and responsive. There were some issues with getting in (code provided did not work) but we were able to figure out a solution. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great! It was pretty loud one evening from music playing above, but the host provided a noise machine and we just turned up the fans to drown out the noise. Room could use some dusting and the mini fridge was a bit leaky and did not keep food too cold. Good stay for my first time in Raleigh!

Raleigh is a “bike-able” city! I appreciated having access to a bicycle (included with my stay). Think about it…if you’re able, riding instead of driving has some benefits!

A+ across-the-board
We had the opportunity to spend two nights in this location. The host was amazing. Anything you could think that you would want or need for a short stay in someone else’s property was there. The location was great easy to get too many places. Highly recommend this place to stay for a couple as a nice getaway.

Best Host I’ve Ever had with Vrbo
My wife and I had a great stay! The host was great at responding when we had an issue and was very nice and kind to us. I would 10/10 recommend coming here! It is a cute little place about a 15/20 minute drive from anywhere in Raleigh and there is a Krispy Kreme within walking distance along with some other good places to eat within walking distance. Overall, this was a great place to stay in Raleigh!

Colette and I have been doing this for 5-years and have had over 2000 travelers pass thru our 5 various editions and have had the Super-host/Premier host status from early on. We always wanted to have some sort of a B&B and we got our wish when this short term rental business model came upon the scene.
We hope you will drop in so we can get a chance to meet you.

Why they chose this property

We moved back to this area of Raleigh three years ago from our former home in North Raleigh. We love the North Person Street corridor, Historic Oakwood, and being so close to downtown. There's always something to do and you can walk to many restaurants and attractions. This is a vibrant area of Raleigh with some of the best restaurants in the area within walking distance. Check out Stanbury, Crawford and Son, Oakwood Pizza Box, The Station, and Gringo A Go Go.

What makes this property unique

Just close enough to downtown, yet not too close.
