The host, Kristi, was very nice to work with. The house is very well equiped/stocked with anything you could need. We enjoyed our stay. The rental is pet friendly, but we didn't end up taking our dog.
Have stayed there on other occasions, very nice quiet place to go to after a long day on the water, very relaxing and comfortable place, very well maintained and everything you need to cook with. It is decorated with wood carvings, prints, wall art of all kinds! I will stay there again anytime I’m in the area. Thanks to our host!
4 of us family members traveled from Minnesota to visit with a family member who lives in Sheboygan now. Place was great, very comfortable. Just what we needed at the end of our days. Thank you!
It was a cute little cottage. It had everything you would need for a stay. I loved that it was clean and perfect location for our day visit to Mackinac Island. We basically only stayed the 2 nights but would definitely stay as a destination. We didn't get a chance to visit Mullet Lake but would if we could have stayed longer.
The only compliant is the tv. It was very small tryin to watch it and there were no channels. Could not get the local channels at all. Otherwise the property was as described and was in a nice location.
We came up to ice fish for the weekend. We arrived before the check time of 4PM. We were able to get in early after communication with the property manager. Clean and neat inside. Mullett lake is just down the street and Burt Lake is about 5 minutes away. The only thing we didn't like was the super slow coffee maker : )
Could use a queen or king bed in master bedroom, double bed just not big enough for 2 adults

Need local tv and radio
Outstanding home inside very clean and had everything you would need. Outdoors needs attention and cleaned up, grill is nasty, bring your own. Biggest problem is the T.V. issue, not fishermen or outdoorsmen friendly, Property owner did not have local channels to check weather or have regular daily programs, none stop news and old movies only, a radio would have been nice. Just needs a little more to be an excellent place to go.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was so nice. Very homey. Reminded me of the house I grew up in along with a friend's beach house where we spent a lot of time. Everything we needed was there. The neighbors were friendly and very nice. Only suggestion for making a stay easier is more information on the TV, etc. Some of us are not so "techy". Wonderful trip; wished we would have had another couple of days to explore the lake.
Very clean and well-maintained cottage near the shores of Mullett Lake. In a beautiful location at the top of a hill surrounded by woods. Very peaceful. The cottage was well-stocked with everything needed for a great vacation! We'll definitely be back again soon.
The cottage needs an overhaul update since it is extremely dated. The owner doesn't give any information about the Internet password and the remotes for the TV did not work since they were very old too. The queen mattress definitely needs to be replaced. The floors and carpeting need to be replaced as other reviews have mentioned. The water pressure in the cottage is so low that when you take a shower you can't even rinse off properly. I asked the owner about this issue mentioned in other reviews prior to booking and she said it was fixed. Since this cottage is in the woods with no insulation, it is very hot and there is no air conditioning. The ceiling fans just blew hot and humid air during our stay. They say they allow dogs here and made a big fuss about dog hair and I have a short haired dog. I was charged an excess amount for a cleaning fee above the amount she already charges due to dog hair. Some of the dishes still had dried food on them upon arrival so this cottage is not that clean to start. There were ants in the bathroom and kitchen area. I wouldn't stay at this cottage again and definitely do not bring your dog unless you want to be charged an extra cleaning fee. There are so many other dog friendly places to go with no hassles and much cleaner and up to date. I wouldn't recommend staying here!!
My husband, son and I had a great stay at this cottage! We stayed for 7 nights and loved the location and also appreciated the long driveway for our boat. My son and I loved how close the cottage was to trails for running and walking, esp with the beautiful views of Mullett Lake. The cottage was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need! We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked a week for next summer :-)
We loved the cozy cottage. It was just right for our family. There is so much to do in the area and the host was happy to give me recommendations when I asked. My 2 and 3 year old daughters loved having their own room with their own beds. The swing set in the back yard was definitely a bonus for our kids and kept them busy while we cooked and packed up. It was such a nice time.
We would like to go back.
We were only there at night, but we felt like it was a very safe and quiet neiborhood. After sightseeing Mackinaw City and St. Ignace and Mackinac Island over a two day period, it was nice to come back to a quiet house and get some rest to go again. Thank you Kristi for sharing your home with us. After sightseeing across the Upper Peninsula, all we needed was a place to sleep and relax. Home is about 30 minutes away from Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island.
