Rustic Cabin, 6 miles from Mackinac Bridge, sleeps 6 on 10 secluded acres
High-speed wifi! ATTENTION JUNE AND OCTOBER GUESTS! It will be chilly, and the only heat source is a wood burning stove. Keep that in mind when booking, thanks! Converted Pole-Barn into summer home, 12 minutes to Mack City and ferries. It's in the country, so you'll be driving down 3 miles of dirt roads. 10 acres all to yourself, no neighbors, fire-pits,basketball hoop, corn hole. 2 bedrooms, queen beds. Pull-out couch in living room, 2 additional couches that people tend to sleep on. Bathroom/shower/hot water, towels, linens, pillows, hot plate, cookware, utensils, coffee maker (bring your own coffee), all the basics you might need EXCEPT heat/ac and an oven. There's a half mile trail that encircles the property. Everyone that's rented so far has loved it! Most properties this size and this close to Mackinac are pricey, so this is a great deal. It's not fancy, but it's exactly what everyone comes up north for: Relaxation, laughs around the campfire, family time.

Clean, great space for our boxer to run, bed was VERY comfortable, enjoyed the "family" photos and looking at all of the memorabilia in the 2nd bedroom.
We had a great time! Location was convenient to both Mackinaw City and Cheboygan. Dog friendly with room to let them play and a great trail to walk. This is an eclectic place with pop culture Easter eggs sprinkled throughout. This was a comfortable place for a quiet weekend.
My kids and i loved this property. Its nestled back in the woods and is a great place to stay if you're in the Mackinac area for a few days

What a great secluded cabin in the woods! We enjoyed the firepit at night, the tiki bar, the nostalgic decor. We very much enjoyed our time here and hope to return.
This place is a true gem. It's close enough to the excitement of Mackinaw but far enough away for you to escape to the peace and quiet of the countryside. My family really enjoyed our stay and the recommendations from the host were top notch.
If you enjoy camping and being in the wilderness, this is your place! We enjoyed the quiet setting and the spaciousness. Everything was very clean and had a unique vibe. The beds were very comfortable.
We really needed a day or 2 more, but we knew that when we booked. There was everything we could have needed on site, even the stuff i forgot. Lol(shampoo). Plenty of fun stuff to do at the cabin for a group, and really no reason to leave if you didnt have to. Once we arrived and built a fire, there was never an issue with being warm enough. The cabin was comfy and still plenty of room to move around. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend thoroughly, and do not have anything negative to say about our stay. Thank you!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at John's place. It was quiet, clean, and a true getaway from the hustle of life. If you enjoy nature and serenity then this is the perfect place. Great location to visit Mackinaw City and Island. I would definitely stay here again.
Stay was great! This place is a great location for multiple up north towns(Cheyboygan, Mackinaw City, Petoskey, Charlevoix, St Ignace and more). We went in October and the colors were absolutely stunning especially on the trail around the property.
It was great to disconnect and relax during this secluded stay. Plenty of options for fun here, we played some board games and threw on some vinyl. I’d love to see what this place is like in the fall!
Beautiful, private property with delightful character and good vibes :)
Love the trail throughout the woods on the property! High quality CD player with many good jams :) not overly fancy but exactly what you want from a northern Michigan getaway. Super close to mackinaw and beaches in the area. Communication with the host was incredible.
Last minute decision to book this place and it was well worth it. Got to hang out with family by the fire and watch the kids play in the woods. Much needed vacation only wish it was longer but next time will be.
Three day stay nice and quiet good to get away from politics and tv spent most of days outside with my two dogs who loved running without automobiles around and collecting sticks

Great communication with the owners, always available. Location was great not far from Mackinac Island, Mill Creek, Cheboygen. The kids loved catching frogs. Was nice and clean. We had everything we needed.
