Serenity can be found in this 3,200 square foot contemporary
quad-level home with 215 feet Lake Michigan waterfront. Exposed
wooden beams, vaulted ceiling, wall-to-wall windows and panoramic
view of the Mighty Mac. Whirlpool bath and walk-in closet in
master bath with private deck. Bay windows, skylight, fireplace and
huge laundry room, plus 2 full decks to view Lake Michigan. Located
just North of the Mackinac Bridge, in St. Ignace, on Gros Cap Road.
(Pronounced Grow-Cap, means large cape in French.)This abode offers
privacy and seclusion, with downtown just 8 miles away. I always book from
Sunday to Sunday, at least 7 nights per week.

We LOVED staying here! The house is amazingly furnished and equipped. Very clean. It was a very quiet, peaceful place. We loved sitting on the deck just enjoying the beautiful view, watching the birds and freighters.Karen, the host, was very kind and friendly and easy to interact with. We definitely would love to stay here again!

Great house. Lots of amenities. The view from the living room was amazing. We saw a few of the local critters. House had more than enough room for the 6 of us. Lots of books and DVDs. We loved the feeling of solitude, but were super close to St Ignace. Great location.

A great getaway for our family reunion

This home is very open and welcoming with high ceilings and large common rooms. The master bedroom suite is especially spacious. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine at night on the three decks overlooking Lake Michigan and the Mackinac bridge. And when we weren't at the beach, we took walks along the lakeside road in this quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend!

We already booked again for next year -which will be year 4! Karen is a wonderful host and her home is beautiful, spacious and the setting is amazing. The water is shallow, so it’s warmer for Lake Michigan, and the house stays fairly cool being water front with the AC units. It’s clean and well stocked - we feel extremely fortunate to have this as our family yearly VRBO tradition! Love it!

Large house with beautiful view!

We loved our stay here. Karen was helpful both before, during and after our vacation. As several others have said, the pictures on VRBO do not do this house justice. They house is dated but is so roomy and comfortable. The views are amazing!! You have water views from so many different rooms in the house, including the kitchen. From the master bedroom it felt like you were on a cruise ship because you could only see water. My kids loved playing in the water and swimming and we were able to quickly run to St. Ignace as needed since it is only about 10 minutes away. I would definitely recommend this house!

We really enjoyed staying at your home. Kelly made sure the home was clean and even opened the garage door as we arrived allowing us to pull in out of the rain. House is well maintained and the view of the bridge a bonus. We had several day trips in the UP. The beach on Highway 2 is a 10 minute drive from the house and was great for swimming and sunsets. We enjoyed the Antique Wooden Boat show in Hessel. Also had a nice dinner there at the Hessel Culinary Arts Academy Restaurant. Of course returning to the house after day trips was a relaxing end to the daily adventures. Reasonable price for a comfortable home right on Lake Michigan.

Amazing home for family! We are a family of 7 and eating out every meal just isn’t feasible. This home keeps you together while cooking meals and allows everyone to have space too. This kitchen is very cook friendly. Location is tops for all the places you might want to visit. View is by far the best! Will be back.

Nice house with a few inconveniences.

We had an excellent time in the area. The location was perfect. The only down side was that there is no wifi in the house. It made it difficult for one of our friends to stay in touch with his work and another sports fan couldn’t watch an opener of his football team. Also only one small TV in the entire house. We wouldn’t stay there again just for those reasons. But the house was very roomy and very well kept.

Our (5 senior adults) stay was amazing! We had no idea that Upper Peninsula, MI, had so much to offer. This home was the perfect space for us to explore all there was to see and do.

Wonderful Stay Once Again!

Beautiful, well stocked home with amazing views! We are already booked again for next year and hope to continue for many years 😊It’s hard to find somewhere that we can get our adult kids together once a year - all the way from Texas and Wisconsin - and fit comfortably. The owner, Karen, is very responsive and kind. The only complaint is that the week goes too quickly!

U. P. Adventures.

The view from the deck with the Mighty Mac and Lake Michigan was wonderful. We were there two weeks and used it as a home base for exploring some of the Upper Peninsula. Our longest trip was about two hours away when we went to take the Pictured Rocks boat tour on Lake Superior.

This is a great home away from home! You can begin your day with a cup of Java sitting on the deck and look at the Mighty Mackinac Bridge, passing freighters, swans and perhaps an eagle! Many day trips to beautiful Upper Peninsula places--come home to relax!

What makes this property unique

My property is 4 levels with 2 decks and a back yard with 214' of Lake MI waterfront property. Using boat shoes, you can navigate swimming or fishing, with a license, on my property. It is a soothing vista of water, sometimes smooth and sometimes whitecaps are seen!
