We came back this year, and had a fabulous experience again! We spent time visiting the island for bike riding and touring both St. Ignace and Mackinac!
Super cute place. Very nice! We were exhausted after exploring each day and never made it to the beach to see the view but we’d surely visit again. Thank you so much! Very clean. Beautiful place.
This was our second year here. Another 5-night stay. The location is perfect. It is quiet and feels remote, yet we are just minutes from downtown St Ignace. We also enjoyed walking the state park trails. The trail head is practically next door to the property. The view of the Mighty Mac is amazing. The home is exceptionally clean and Susan adds thoughtful touches to make it feel cozy. The beds are warm and comfortable. The new TV was appreciated when we had a movie marathon on a cold & rainy day. We made good use of the well-appointed kitchen. Everything was so nice. It was perfect for our group of five ladies. I think a family with kiddos would find it to be perfect, too. I included a pic of the bridge from the property.
Our group of friends thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay. Susan is a great host and made sure that we had everything we needed. The guest house was comfortable and well appointed. We felt right at home. The location is perfect with breathtaking views of the Mighty Mac. We had so much fun that we already booked for next year!
Plenty of space, comfortable, and very clean. Lots of kitchen equipment for all your needs. Close to everything but feels secluded and in nature. Lovely place.
This cozy guest house has everything you need to enjoy Northern MI.
We loved it! The view of the Bridge, close to the water, fire pit, comfortable beds and close to the Sheplers’ ferry. We will definitely be back. Our host, Susan, was great :)
The owner thought of EVERYTHING! This property was Beautiful- great home, landscaping and views - all were AMAZING!
The house had anything you needed to have a good time - games , grill, and lake front seating with fire pit. The home was stocked with a lot of extras - which were very appreciated!! Highly recommend her guest house!!
Lovely property well taken care of felt like home. Loved the location and access to ferry to mackinaw island and day drive to local UP must see spots and to Petoskey as well. Beautiful area highly recommend for families that are not interested in camping and want the amenities of a house and property for kids. Would rent again
We had a great time on this property! From the master bedroom upstairs (and the connected deck) you have a view through to the lake. And you can walk down to the shoreline for a dramatic expansive view.
Susan is an amazing host! The cabin was very well-appointed. We would definitely rent here anytime we are coming to this area.
What a great experience! Very thoughtful in the details to make sure your stay is perfect. Cabin had everything we needed, exactly as listed. Beautiful landscaping, responsive host, great location. Beds were comfortable, love the decks and the outdoor spaces to relax. Views from the beach are 5 stars! Thank you again!!
This property /house provides the perfect 'up north' getaway. We stayed here 3 yrs ago for a week, and then just two nights recently, and I wish we could have stayed longer. Very clean, comfortable, with all of the amenities you could want. My favorite is sitting out on the balcony off of the bedroom drinking coffee and listening to the sounds of nature and the waters of Lake Huron. I hope we can come back again in the future.
This place was amazing. We took advantage of the bonfire pit, the grill and the amazing beach area. There were six of us, my partner and two other couples. Everyone had an amazing time and loved the house and what it had to offer. We even chatted with the owner for a bit when we arrived and she was super nice. We may be back on 2025 for the next Mini on the Mack parade!
Home was very clean and in a secluded/quiet area with great view of lake and bridge. Bedrooms were large and kitchen well stocked with dishes/pots/glasses. Did not have a/c but did not need. Enjoyed the cool breeze and the fire pit by the lake. Central location to explore further north in the Upper Peninsula.
Great place, very clean, well maintained and equipped with all you need to relax! Our decision was a good one, for sure, as we also had a Labrador travel partner. Decided to cook breakfast and dinner ourselves, kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. The Weber grill, fire pit and patio were very comfortable to use & enjoy. If I had one complaint, the access to the lake and view were in the rear of the owners property. Although a short walk, we felt awkward walking through their property.
The house is clean, spacious and charming, not many vacation houses have king size bed and this one has two king beds upstairs. The location is perfect, just some steps down and you can see Mackinac Bridge. The first time I saw the bridge at night I was in awe! On Friday night from the balcony you can watch the fireworks in Mackinaw city. The back is a wooded area, my dogs and myself really enjoy it. The kitchen is equipped with high end appliances and pots and pans and many more! Susan is very professional and responsive, thank you very much for a very relaxed and peaceful vacation and I hope to come back one day.

About the host
Hosted by Susan Justice
As a child, my parents would take all of us to the Upper Peninsula for vacations. I will never forget sitting in our family station at night just watching the Bridge. And then there were the trips to Mackinac Island aboard the ferry and riding our bikes around the island. Well time passes and I moved to California because of my job. When my husband and I were traveling in our motor home, I decided to treat my husband to the wonders of the Upper Peninsula. Of course, he thought of Michigan as if everything was like Detroit. He fell in love with Saint Ignace and the rest is history.
Why they chose this property
I purchased the best piece of property in the Upper Peninsula. We are located right next to the Mackinac Bridge on Lake Huron. Beautiful!
What makes this property unique
The location is perfect for visiting Mackinac Island, shopping in downtown Saint Ignace, driving to Tahquamenon Falls State Park. Plus can you imagine making s'mores at your bonfire in the evening.
