The house had a great beachfront location and looked nice overall, but unfortunately, our experience did not live up to the price we paid.About 30 minutes before our arrival, we were notified that the elevator was not working. Since we didn't need it, I specifically asked that a technician not come out during our stay so we could enjoy our time without interruptions. Unfortunately, the technician came anyway. We also had a toilet overflow to the point that we had to use towels to soak up the water. To their credit, the management team sent two different plumbers out and got the issue addressed fairly quickly. However, this meant having people coming in and out of the house once again.Beyond these issues, the house had quite a bit of wear and tear. Some smaller maintenance problems included a broken toilet paper holder and broken shower rods. While the beds in the three master bedrooms were comfortable, the beds in the remaining rooms were not comfortable at all.The biggest positives were the beachfront location and the overall appearance of the house. However, between the maintenance issues, unexpected interruptions, worn condition, and uncomfortable beds in some rooms, the property did not meet our expectations for the amount of money we spent.Overall, the location was great, but the house needs some updates, better maintenance, and more attention to guest experience to justify its price. We enjoyed being right on the beach, but I would have expected a much better ex

We would like to provide a little clarification regarding the maintenance visits during your stay. During our pre-arrival inspection, our team discovered that the elevator was not leveling properly, which prompted us to notify you before your arrival. We immediately contacted our elevator vendor, whose availability is often very limited, and were fortunate to secure an appointment for the following day. Our goal was to ensure the elevator was functioning properly and available for your group to enjoy. As outlined in our rental agreement, there are circumstances when vendor access is necessary to address maintenance and safety concerns. The plumbing issue you experienced was one of those situations. When a water leak occurs, it is essential that our team assess the situation promptly to ensure the leak has stopped, prevent potential damage to the property, and restore the bathroom to full working order for our guests. We certainly understand that having vendors visit during your vacation is not ideal, and we always strive to minimize interruptions whenever possible. However, larger maintenance concerns involving elevators and water leaks require timely attention to ensure the safety, comfort, and functionality of the home. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the condition of the home and the comfort of the beds. We will be sharing your comments with the homeowners and our property management team for review. This home was simply outstanding! Excellent accommodation for 11 people with plenty of space to all be together or get some private time. Heated pool looking out to the beach was perfect for kids and adults.

Great stay for Spring break

We had a wonderful time at HHI. We never had to leave this beautiful space! The kids enjoyed the beach and the pool. The adults loved the safety of the location and the large kitchen and dining room to gather. Will definitely come back!

Perfect getaway!

This property is right on the beach. We were lucky and had absolutely beautiful weather everyday. The house was perfect as well even thought we spent most of the time outside.

Service Recovery is Important!

Our second year renting this property, and it's great. Our family loves it and wants to come back every year. A big thank you and shout out to Andi for solving a computer glitch with their billing system and giving us complete assurance there would be no issues when we arrived, including giving me her direct number to call if there were any problems. And there were none!

Major problems with my stay

The location and setup of the house were great, but 1/ the house is old and crusty and needs some work. Couches are gross, ottomans falling apart, toilets and elevator do not work well and 2/ the main issue is that the property management company did not do their job in addressing issues. The handle to the back door was broken for days before a handyman who came to fix another issue agreed to help us out with it. The toilet overflowed twice and we had to clean the floors and all of the wet towels. The property management company never sent anyone to fix this after it was reported. The ice maker also does not work, and we were told it was normal for an ice maker to work "slow" meaning we maybe got 5 cubes per day. Buy a new fridge or get this fixed. Lastly the washer broke and again, they never sent anyone to fix it after reported. If you're the owner and you're reading this, I recommend you hire a new company to manage your property. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences in other houses in Hilton Head, but this experience was very disappointing considering we paid over 20K/week. We should really be getting some sort of refund but instead we were charged for dirty towels (which we couldn't clean because the washer didn't work).

Wedding celebration

House was perfect location for a 12 person wedding event. We had a chef come in and the kitchen was fully stocked. The bedrooms and beds were perfect for the guests. The scenery was gorgeous.

Wonderful!

We love this house. It was perfect for our family of 13 and we had such a good time. Everyone had plenty of space. It was clean and we had no problems. The oceanfront was wonderful and the beach was not crowded at all.

We had a family group of 14. Worked out well us. It is located in a private community so the beach was fairly uncrowded. Had a few minor issues and we were pleased with the quick response of the property manager.

The property was adequate. There was plenty of room for our family. The view of the ocean was lovely and the beach was not overly crowded. But I would not rent this property again. We come to HHI to relax and enjoy our family time, this time I was too focused on all the rules and possible fines that were posted all over the house. The 4 car rule was especially difficult when we had other people come over ( ex: the photographer who came to take family photos). If you are restricting parking then have an-overflow lotWe were fixated on not getting the towels too dirty or else we would get fined. We also worried about the smoke detector in the garage that kept going off until we disconnected it. No one ever came by to repair it. These are Just a few of the warnings posted throughout the house. I contacted the host before our stay to ask about beach toys and chairs etc. I was told that none were suppled at the property. Unless some were left by the previous renters. So we filled out cars with chairs, boogie boards and sand toys. Imagine my surprise when there was a closet filled with all of the stuff we bought. It would have been nice to get correct info and it would also be nice if beach towels were furnished like in the other houses we rented before in HHI The pool is very small, kids sized To summarize we had a lovely time because we always do when we get together. We will just have it at a different property in a different part of HHi in the future

Unfortunately, the four-car parking limit is set by the Town of Hilton Head Island and applies to all rental properties based on driveway and garage space. Regarding the beach gear, while previous guests sometimes leave chairs and toys behind, we don't inventory or maintain those items, so we're unable to guarantee their availability or condition.
