A cabin stay at in the north woods is a rare experience. Add in a private swimmable lake and miles of trails to explore and you have the perfect get a way!! We hope you come back soon!

Even though the lake is isolated and far from people, it is still publicly owned. Most people have forgotten about it but sometimes and rarely it happens but people do show up in boats at the public access. Sometimes people get lost exploring the many trails and turn around at the cabin. Stuff happens but for the most part, the cabin is secluded and a wonderful place to experience solitude! I will put up more privacy signs to deter a straggler. Thank you for the suggestion !

Thank you for staying!! Those directions were my first directions but guests were missing the boat launch signs and getting confused so I measured the distance between signs and turns. Hi Jackie! Thank you for a perfect review of our cabin! We are so glad you enjoyed the solitude and the feeling of going back in time. Many guests love the fact that they aren’t tempted to look at the phone because WiFi doesn’t exist there and it’s a blessing not being bothered by it. If one might need to check their messages sometimes sitting on the dock while dangling your feet in the water might get you service. Lol. Maybe. I had wish you would have stayed more than a few minutes and enjoyed the cabin’s perfect peaceful setting and beautiful sunsets! We have no control if a mouse enters with a door open or if it smelled lingering food from the previous guests. We always sprinkle a natural deterrent for small critters around the outside perimeter and place little bags of the same inside. All summer we have not had complaints and our housekeeper is very good about such things. After all, It’s a secluded UP cabin deep in the wilderness on a beautiful lake. We have no control of deer, wolves, moose, or any wild animal entering the cabin area so we always remind the guests to clean up food crumbs and take their garbage out to the old outhouse away from the cabin and use our Clorox wipes under the sink to clean things up if mouse dirt is seen.. Always read the description carefully and expect the unexpected. We don’t guarantee a mouse free place, no body can, but we can give you an experience in the wilderness that you will remember and love for a life time. God bless!
