Quiet secluded cabin, on top of a hill, with view of Brazos River Valley. (Note, road leading to this cabin is steep and unpaved, so it might be daunting to guests not accustomed to country living.) Our home is at top of the hill and we have driven this road for 22 years - without 4-wheel drive. *
Located on 38 acres with Brazos river access. There is a riverside patio and fishing deck just a quick car ride down the hill. When the river is low, there is also access to a nice beach great for children to play in shallow water, and hunting for fossils and arrowheads.
Two queen bedrooms plus a sofa with linens provided for extra sleeping for a child or teen. All towels and linens provided. Children and pets welcome.
Fully furnished kitchen - all you'll need to bring is your food. Direct TV, Wifi, propane grill, washer/dryer.
Just 10 minutes from historic Glen Rose, and 20 minutes from Dinosaur Valley State Park, Fossil Rim Wildlife Park and Dinosaur World.

Everything was great! Close enough to town for access to some good food. Good views. They are developing some of the other land in the area, but the views still remain fantastic versus anything in the city. Would definitely stay again.
The area where this cabin is located is beautiful! It was kept clean however, some updates are definitely needed. The beds were super loud/squeaky when getting in/out. Couch seemed pretty well loved and the cushions wouldn’t stay in place when sitting. The firepit outside also had a hole in it, so we were unable to use it. Just, a very well loved cabin that needs a couple fixings! Other than that, we absolutely loved it. We had no other issues. We really enjoyed the stay and glen rose area.
This is such a cute place! Being dog lovers, we absolutely loved all the dogs around, especially big Bob, who dozed on our porch the morning we left, and then literally led us on a loop trail through the woods and down to the river. Thank you for having the space heater in the extra bedroom! Everything was great and we really enjoyed meeting the owner out on his ATV. Good luck with the puppies! You might want to look at the drain in the bathroom. It seemed to be draining quite slowly. The property is just beautiful, thank you for telling us how to get down to the river, and thank you for an excellent stay!
The cabin was perfect for a couples getaway. The kitchen amenities were sufficient, ice trays filled and ready, firewood piled up as well. The property is beautiful and secluded. We loved saying hi to the donkeys and watch the deer. Just a few miles from all of the fun activities Glen Rose has to offer. Kay was also wonderful at communicating with us.
Awesome location and clean cabin with an amazing view. Several friendly dogs and other animals, as well as a swing set and trampoline were an added bonus. It does have a pretty steep, gravel road to get up the hill to the cabin.
We had a great stay. Beautiful cabin and beautiful location. Plenty of great attractions within short driving distance. We loved that we were able to bring our dog. The owners were very friendly. Highly recommended.
Our stay at Valley View cabin was so nice. The river is very close, the cabin was so cozy and well stocked. There was a fire ring with porch swings that was used both nights we stayed. The kitchen has full size appliances and the host was very responsive. We will be back soon!
Our family went for a Father’s Day weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed our cabin and the Brazos House Retreat property. We had such an enjoyable visit that we decided to make this an annual event. The view is stunning, that swings were fantastic, and we made good use of the fire pit and the wood provided.
This cabin was such a perfect getaway home for us. We were very close to Glen Rose, it didn’t take long at all to get into town to do the activities. Property was very nice with lots of room for the kids to run around and play. They loved the swings and the daily visits from the dogs. We had never been to that area before, and it was a great experience.
Would highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the quiet. The cabin was very clean and well furnished. The porch was wonderful to enjoy evening relaxing and morning coffee. Wildlife was plentiful. The host was wonderful!
This was a beautiful peaceful property in the country but close enough to city Glen Rose our dog had a blast there dogs very friendly got along great with mine will defiantly come back
Great place to crash for a weekend trip to Dino valley.
Great place to crash for a weekend trip to Dino valley. Yes the water system is pretty smelly and could use an upgrade, but great little place for up to a family of 4 to crash.
