About this property
Family-perfect location, well appointed, close to beach, great porches, quiet
This well appointed, cedar-shake ground floor condo is in a choice location, perfect for small families with young children or an adult couple’s getaway. In addition to being close enough to walk barefoot to the beach (just two blocks), it is only a 3 block walk to Cape May's Washington Street pedestrian mall and some of the best restaurants at the New Jersey Shore. Walk 2 blocks west, and you are in the heart of West Cape May with its selection of antique stores, cafes and other quaint shops.
A lovely feature is the outdoor living space. Lean back and enjoy the evening sea breeze on the new wrap-around porch, it is the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach. Sit in the rocker chairs and watch the horse drawn carriages pass by. Also on the front porch is a 4-seat outdoor dining area with ceiling fan/light. There is also a new enclosed side porch with comfortable wicker furniture and lovely greenery -- ideal for reading and relaxing. This enclosed porch is shared with the upstairs condo. The garden is nicely landscaped with a seating area, fully enclosed outdoor shower, and gas BBQ grill.
This condo was completely renovated in 2007 with contemporary, high-end finishes. Inside you will find light oak hardwood floors throughout, large gourmet eat-in kitchen with granite counter-tops and six bar stools. New appliances and new central A/C and heating keeps it the perfect temperature.
The condo has high speed wireless Internet access, flat screen high-definition smart TV.
The master bedroom has a new queen bed and mattress with fan, dresser, and nightstands. The second bedroom has full/double-size bunk beds and a new love seat sleeper sofa that pulls out to a twin bed, also has lots of closet space.
The light, airy bathroom with white wainscoting and tiled shower, and washer/dryer. The fully equipped kitchen includes all dishes, glasses, flatware, utensils, pots and pans, refrigerator with ice-maker, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster.
Windsor Avenue is a quiet, tree-lined street and not one of the town’s major thoroughfares, so getting to and from the beach and other nearby locations is a breeze. We provide a guaranteed off-street parking space (in a driveway shared with the upstairs unit). Additionally, there is plentiful metered and unmetered parking on Windsor Avenue and nearby.
No smoking and no pets, please. Five seasonal beach tags included.
We rent year-round including weekends (2 night minimum). There is an excellent calendar of events on the Cape May Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts web site.

About the host
Hosted by Chris Anstey

Before buying our piece of Cape May in 2007, we were long time visitors to Cape May. It is a great place to vacation with our family and is unique among New Jersey resort towns. There is plenty to do and see, but it steers well clear of the loudness and frenetic activity that characterizes some other places at the Shore.
Why they chose this property
Cape May, NJ is the nation’s oldest seashore resort and a winner of the 2010 Traveler’s Choice Award. It has some of the nicest beaches around with lovely sand dunes and the shops, restaurants, and bars of Beach Drive. Congress Hall is a top notch destination hotel and a great place for cocktails!
What makes this property unique
Of course, Atlantic City is only 45 minutes away up the Garden State Parkway!! The IMAX theatre there is cool. Visit 'The Quarter' at Tropicana and The Borgata. Or, head south and take the Cape May-Lewes ferry across to the lovely quaint town of Lewes or hop the bus to Rehobeth Beach. If wine is your thing there are a number of local vineyards with tastings and other events.
