Golf weekend in Highlands

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was perfect and very comfortable. The location right off Main Street was ideal. I would definitely stay again and recommend the Nest highly for anyone looking to be close to shopping and great restaurants in Highlands.

The Nest is a perfect place to stay in the highlands. This place was better than what the pictures showed. They do an incredible job decorating and providing a peaceful, relaxing experience. It is walking distance to all shops in town. David is quick to respond and his instructions on check in were very easy to follow. We will be booking this property for all our future trips to the highlands.

Perfection for Birthday/New Year getaway

If you are looking for a well-appointed, luxury stay in the heart of Highlands, this is your place. David was amazingly responsive, the two-bedroom condo was roomy but warm and welcoming, and the location was perfection. The bonus was getting to know the owner of the Highlands Tarven below. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

A Highlight in Highlands

You can't ask for better access to Main Street and all its amenities. And you can't ask for a more responsive host. We really enjoyed our stay. And we were greeted with a very nice bunch of welcome goodies!!

Another amazing stay at The Nest

For several years now, my wife and I have been fortunate enough to stay at The Nest. The property is extraordinary and the best location in Highlands period. The Nest -- Wonderful place

For the 2nd year in a row we spent 2 1/2 weeks at the Nest in Highlands. The place is fantastic and has everything you could need to have a very enjoyable stay. David, the owner, has the place stocked and set up fabulously. Best location in Highlands by far. Easy walk to all great restaurants, grocery store , wine shop etc. Our stay could not have been better!

The Best of the Best

The Nest is our true home away from home. We go every year and already booked for 2024. You cannot find better anything in the Highlands. From the accommodations to the location to the hospitality of David. This is the best- PERIOD.

Great location in Highlands

We enjoyed our stay! Great location, just steps away from Main St, with plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk from your door! Parking is not for the faint of heart, but after a few times, we were able to master :) David was a generous host— leaving a stocked refrigerator and welcome tray of snacks and sweet treats— along with wine, beer and fresh flowers to make us feel right at home. It was a great place and would definitely consider staying again!

Cozy retreat

Park the car & walk -shop, mountain theater, restaurants . Directly across street from ‘Old Edward’s ‘Madison restaurant’. - there is a pub/restaurant, on the bottom, but we found it very quiet and not noticeable. At the back entrance some wonderful aromas from the kitchen! Comfortable bed, which is very important. No hang up space in the Master bedroom, shelves only. I would definitely recommend and will return on our next visit to the Highlands if available🤓

Does not get any better than this property in downtown Highlands!

We come to Highlands on a very frequent basis, but this time we wanted to be in downtown in the middle of everything. The NEST was perfect in every detail. Every aspect was covered in this unit from welcome snacks and beverages to soft music playing on the Bose speakers. It was perfect and better than anticipated. Even the Highland's Tavern folks downstairs went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Once we parked our cars we were able to walk to every restaurant and shop we wanted to visit during our stay. The Nest will definitely be on our list for future visits to Highlands!

Very impressed and Highly Recommend!

Excellent downtown location across from Old Edwards and convenient to Main Street. Can easily walk home from a nice evening instead of driving. Balcony windows overlook Old Edwards, nice neighborhood. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths were well appointed and comfortable. Modern kitchen was also well stocked, he sets a new standard for welcoming guests! Wine, beer, cereal, coffee, milk, OJ, half and half, snacks...whatever you need is there waiting for you. He truly has put a lot of thought into what guests need and provided it for us. He sets a new standard in management that is much appreciated. HIGHLY recommend this townhome!!

Highlands Wedding

The Nest is a beautiful luxurious home in the heart of Highlands NC. It was our 1st trip to this charming mountain town to attend a family wedding. Mr. David sure knows how to to make you feel special. We were greeted with fresh flowers wine, and cheese, fresh fruit, coffee just to name a few items. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need including a coffee maker. The livingroom overlooks 4th Strret and Church with a view from the french doors and juilette balcony of the Old Edwards Inn. We had plenty of space in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfy and each has their own bathroom. The Nest is over a tavern that has music but it was not loud and it not bother us at all. This is a great home in a great location. You are within walking distance of many of the shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend "The Nest" if you are vising the area. Mr. David is a great host.

By far away, our favorite place to go stay in the North Carolina mountainsWe go every year at least once a year and David is an amazing host and the Nest is certainly one of our favorite spots anywhere. Best possible location in Highlands North Carolina to stay as well. Walking distance to every great restaurant in town. My wife has been coming to Highlands North Carolina since 2016.

Perfect location in Highlands

We celebrated Fourth of July in Highlands and had an excellent stay at this property. The owners were very communicative and the check in process was seamless. We really appreciated the amazing food/set up for our check in.. fridge full of drinks, milk, OJ, cheese, etc as well as muffins, fruit, and crackers. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the bathroom toiletries, too. It felt more like a hotel stay minus the maid service :) It is located above Highlands Tavern but we didn’t hear any noise from the restaurant. The location is awesome for walking to shops and restaurants.. right in the heart of Main Street area. The parking is a little tight, but we were happy to have a secured spot during a busy holiday week. The steps going up to the rental are also a little steep so may not be ideal for someone with mobility issues. Loved our stay and hope to stay again sometime!

We could not have enjoyed our stay at “The Nest” more! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful display of snacks and wine- and gorgeous accommodations. Beth, the owner, was so responsive, gracious and helpful. We stayed a week and enjoyed cooking many meals in the home and also loved being walking distance to the incredible shops and restaurants. We stayed during Highlands busiest season and absolutely could not have appreciated the location of the home more. We only used our car to travel to hikes- otherwise we could walk everywhere. We travel to Highlands often and this was by far our favorite home in the heart of it all. Thank you, Beth, for making our experience truly special, We hope to come back many more times!

Nest 205 was nicely appointed and oh so convenient. We had a wonderful sister trip to Highlands and we loved our accommodations. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms with a wonderful open concept living and kitchen area. The view of Old Edwards Inn and quaint shops up the street was a real plus to wake up to. Royce Realty did an excellent job of welcoming us and everything was just as it should be! We’ll definitely stay here again!
