Brilliant location, wonderful views, very clean, well equipped, great balcony, excellent WiFi, bedrooms upstairs and toilet is downstairs! Probably not best suited for disabled as staircase is winding and narrow but in all other aspects it is superb.

Lovely gite with great views

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The gite was lovely and very well equipped and the view from the terrace was beautiful. This was a great place to stay and explore the area and evenings spent on the terrace made it perfect. Thank you to Nicole and Alex for all your kind attention.

Clean, comfortable house

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was convenient for visiting St Cirq LaPopie, Cahors, Figeac and gardens in the Dordogne near La Roc Gageac. The bed was very comfortable and bedroom was lovely. As others have noted, toilet is on ground floor so might be a bit of a hike at night for some guests. Nicole and her husband are very helpful and wonderful people.

A Truly Exceptional Experience

We have stayed at many VRBO homes, and this is one of the best ever! A comfortable bed, sofa and armchair, excellent bright lighting and a well-equipped kitchen . . . and one of the loveliest porches in France, looking down on the Lot River below the village of St. Cirq perched on a high bluff. It's a great base for exploring a beautiful area. Thanks, Nicole and Alex!

The very best of France, un grand merci, Nicole

We were met on arrival by our charming hostess, Nicole, after following her helpful telephone guidance to her property. It is a spacious two bedroom house on the north bank of the Lot river, enjoying sunshine on the veranda, from dawn to dusk. It contains everything one could need by way of furnishing and fittings, to live, eat and sleep in great comfort, including Wi-Fi. We bought only food and drink during our holiday. We "stayed at home" for two days, simply relaxing in the sunshine and living "la vie francais", however the banks of the Lot and the surrounding hills have many attractive towns and villages to visit, and we did. The views are spectacular, east over the Lot to the forests beyond and westward up to Saint Cirq Lapopie, one of "Les plus beaux villages de France". We spent many hours up there, walking around marvelling at both the original constructions and renovations and recent preservation work. And, of course, enjoying the food and wine, especially at Restaurant Lou Bolat, sitting atop the village, looking down along the river. A magical setting for dinner with generous portions and not expensive. Try the Magret de Canard, Cassoulet or Entrecote de Boeuf. The starters and deserts are equally enjoyable. It was a wonderful week for us, made complete by the kindness and geniality of Nicole and her husband Alex. We were very sad to leave and hope we can return someday, perhaps next summer. With our best wishes to Nicole and Alex and their family.

Gîte merveilleusement bien placé pour les visites et profiter du site. Le gîte est très bien équipé et super agréable avec sa grande terrasse et sa vue magnifique. Les propriétaires sont super sympa et très à l'écoute pour nous conseiller dans nos visites et restaurants. Une adresse à garder pour revenir et profiter des lieux idéalement placé pour accéder aux sites touristiques très nombreux. Merci à Nicole pour son accueil et sa bonne humeur.

Sejour court mais excellent

Seulement 4 nuits Trop court Mais l’accueil exceptionnel de nicole et Alex laisse présager un sejour ultérieur Ils n’hésitent pas à faire plus de 20 kms à votre arrivée et au départ pour vous saluer ! Pas cette horrible boîte a clef Et quelle vue depuis la terrasse du gîte très propre et bien décoré. Rien ne manque pour passer un tres bon sejour Merci Nicole et Alex

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus in traumhafter Lage

Très beau gîte, un séjour parfait !

Emplacement idéal avec belle vue sur Saint Cirq-Lapopie et le Lot. Une maison restaurée avec goût. Grande terrasse abritée où il fait bon rêver devant ce beau paysage. Très agréable location idéalement située. Les différentes pièces de la maison sont bien agencées et bien pensées. On s'y sent très rapidement comme chez soi et il est difficile d'en repartir. Quant à la vue de la terrasse, elle est juste magnifique. Merci Nicole et Alex !!

Heel mooi huis op prachtige locatie

We hebben genoten van dit prachtige en gezellige huis met zijn grote waranda met uitzicht op de Lot en Saint Cirque Lapopie. Alles was aanwezig en de eigenaars waren super aardig. Een echte aanrader.

A Lot from this house

Cette très belle maison avec vue sur le Lot et St Cirq Lapopie vous attend et vous offrira une superbe lumière grâce à la terrasse avec vue panoramique. Prestation de qualité, hôtes qui prêtent attention à tous les détails. 5 Etoiles!!! Herrliche Aussicht, wunderbare Terrasse

+ Das Haus ist insgesamt in Ordnung, die Lage wirklich schön. Die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und nett, die Kommunikation sehr gut. - Im Inserat wird leider nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass im Obergeschoss, wo sich die Schlafzimmer befinden, kein WC vorhanden ist. Dieses befindet sich im Erdgeschoss, was bei nächtlicher Benutzungsnotwendigkeit nicht sehr komfortabel ist. Es gibt keinen Geschirrschrank, alles Geschirr steht offen in Regalen. Im Erdgeschoss roch es ziemlich unangenehm, auch durch extremes Lüften nicht zu beheben. Bei Ankunft waren die Betten nicht bezogen, es wurde wohl vorausgesetzt, dass man seine Bettwäsche mitbringt (im Inserat nicht erwähnt, nur von Handtüchern wird gesprochen) . Zusammen mit der Gastgeberin erfolgte dann das Nötige. Trotz allem, auch dem schönen Wetter zu verdanken, haben wir die Woche sehr genossen.

L’idéal

Location idéale pour se ressourcer face à un paysage magnifique et bien placée pour découvrir la région. La maison est très fonctionnelle et la terrasse est un vrai plus. On ne se lasse pas de la vue. Merci à Nicole et Alex pour leur accueil chaleureux. Ils mettent tout en œuvre pour un séjour parfait.
