We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the cabin, it exceeded our expectations. We loved the location. It was close to all our planned activities in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Especially sitting on the large screened-in porch listening to the creek. The kids loved playing in the creek. We will come and stay again. The kids were planning our return on our trip home.

The cabin had a very bad musty and damp smell to it had to burn candles to try to get the smell out but it didn't help. Floors were uneven and not suitable for people with disabilities which my husband has. The location was nice tho it wss convenient to everything

This was a guys trip and this cabin is rustic and met our needs very well. The cabin is need of updating, the freezer section of the refrigerator did not freeze ice. This was not a big deal for us since we drink all bottle drinks. The bedrooms are nice and big and it was nice to have a bathroom off each bedroom the cabin can use some updating lighting is poor and I would not recommend this cabin for someone that has trouble with steps or uneven floors. The setting is beautiful the creek across the street was very beautiful. It was nice sitting out on the porch and hearing the running water. The old fireplace in the kitchen needs cleaned out and could be made a nice focal point with very little effort. Check in check out was a breeze. Location was nicely situated between Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. It’s called the Fish House and that is a good description because it’s great for a guys trip or someone that doesn’t require a lot of amenities if you’re traveling with any elderly family members, I would not recommend this place. We would definitely stay here again it met our needs. To get a five star rating it needs updating. It needs a little bit better cleaning was not filthy. Just a few cobwebs fireplace should’ve been cleaned out and the outdoor grill area needs updating.

Very nice

We loved the uniqueness of the house. It could have been a little cleaner. And the bathroom with the blue tile the picture does not show how deep that shower. We were traveling with seniors so it was not usable for us. We loved sitting on the porch and listening to the creek.

Nice location.

The cabin is located in a very convenient location with lots of wildlife to watch as you sit and relax on the screened porch. Fishing for trout in the steam located across the road was a lot of fun. Our family enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful, quiet, & relaxing

We loved the spacious cabin with the large screened in porch with the rocking chairs. It was peaceful & quiet & beautiful. You could easily drive to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg for entertainment or food but we chose to just stay at the cabin. I would rent this cabin again!

Nice Neighborhood

Although the house was not as clean as we would have hoped, we still enjoyed our stay. The brand new carpets were plush and nice. Air conditioning worked well. The location was gorgeous right next to a beautiful creek in the mountains.

Beautiful Cabin!

We booked this cabin for christmas this year and it was great. It's easy to get to, very spacious and was great for our dogs. I absolutely believe I got lucky by finding this cabin for the dates I wanted. Joseph the owner, was GREAT with communication and with any problems or concerns we had. The creek was so relaxing, you could hear the water crashing from the living room and is very peaceful. We plan to rent again in the summer.

Wonderful Cabin

This cabin is about as perfect as it gets! An old fishing cabin that’s been updated with some modern amenities located across the street from the best trout fishing imaginable (catch and release requirements, but it was still great!). The cabin has a huge front porch and living room perfect for getting away with the family. Conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge- but far enough away to think you’re in seclusion! The property managers were the best. Can’t give this awesome place a high enough rating. I’ve been staying in Tennessee cabins for decades, but this one was special!

Family Time

It was our first trip to the area and we did not know what to expect. The location of the cabin was perfect. We got to explore everything on our list and then some! The home was clean and spacious. The dishwasher did not always work. That is the one thing we noticed. We also had a mouse in the house. Other than that it was a great stay!!!

It would be a great cabin with work.

Myself, my husband, mother-in-law, my 4 yr old, and my parents stayed in the fish house from Dec. 1-10/2019. Upon entering the cabin it was extremely musty, and the carpets in the main living pace/hallway/stairs are dirty and need a good shampoo/steaming/replacing!! The shower and sink in one bathroom completely backed up within seconds of use, the second bathroom shower had base tiles missing, deep mold in the grout, and the floor around the drain was sinking, causing water to pool to one side of the shower. One of the three bedrooms with french doors has severely scuffed wood in front of french doors with black mold growing. The musty smell in that room was so bad my mother in law had to sleep with her head under the covers, and she also had to purchase an airwick. The pots, pans, glasses, and some of the dishes had to be cleaned before use. The toaster is broken and will only heat or burn half the bread. Forget about using the washing machine for clothes, because it will not go into the spin cycle. Multiple light bulbs were burnt out and a few of the table lamps were completely broken. Aside from the issues stated above, the location of the cabin is spectacular and phenomenal. The view of the creek from the cabin is breathtaking. The beds were comfortable, and it provided plenty of space. The maintenance team placed Gonzo in multiple rooms to help with the smell, and were easy to contact and tried to help. The cabin could be spectacular if a little work were put into it. I don't think this cabin should be rented out until a lot of the issues are addressed, especially the black mold. We have requested a partial refund for our stay because of the issues, and are hoping things are made right. If these issues are addressed, then we would be more than happy to rebook the cabin, because the potential is there.

Beautiful Location

The property was absolutely beautiful and the creek was a soothing experience. The house was in need of some repairs especially a lot of the faucet knobs and the bathroom with the stone sink drains very slow and there is also a musty smell. There also was an issue with spiders. Overall we enjoyed our stay as we were not at the house often, other than the evenings.

Peaceful

This property is located away from the noise of the downtown area. It is just as described. The only drawback/plus was lack of phone service. If you want to unplug and relax, this is the place. Sitting on the front porch you can listen to the birds sing and the water running, watch the squirrels play, or read your favorite book. Enjoyable stay.

Family Trip for Elderly Parents

We stayed three nights in this rustic cabin. Three bedroom was perfect us, my mom and his dad. Everyone has private bathroom . The location is convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The porch was welcoming and peaceful with the running creek outside. It is older so don’t expect top notch decor or anything. It worked for us to enjoy this trip for each of your widowed parents, my mom and my husbands dad. Easy access from lots of doors for them. No complaints to give just recommendations to the rental company. Nothing we couldn’t deal with. We would stay again based on charm , scenery and location and proximity to attractions and restaurants.
