Property is sublet to vrbo by another company. The vrbo listing was not the same as the other company's after making the reservation. The other company was not responsive to requests for adding to my stay, as they have an automated system with no option for personal contact. Their loss.

Shocked at how filthy dirty the carpet was….

I should have followed my gut which was to pass on this one. There were reviews commenting about the cleanliness but the latest ones said it was fine and my husband really needs a recliner to sleep in after having sinus surgery. First off It’s not easy to find in the dark because you can’t see the unit numbers from the parking lot but we finally arrived exhausted and ready for a fun weekend. The unit is older….these were built in the late 70’s or early 80’s which is not a deal breaker. But then we opened the door and were met with a stale musty smell. I was appalled when we went in and found dog pee stains all over the condo. There is 8-10 on the bottom floor, several on the stairs, and one by the bed in the loft. I reported it immediately to Vacasa by text, sent them multiple pictures, and followed it with a phone call. I was told we are sorry and that “someone” would be calling me to talk about a resolution. Never got a phone call or response to a text that night or the next day. In my opinion this unit needs to be taken off the market and the carpets cleaned professionally…..it was beyond gross! We didn’t dare walk around in our bare feet. I needed to wash some clothes, opened the washing machine only to find wet towels. My gosh….so now I had to dry our towels too!! It’s a real shame because it’s cozy. The Murphy bed in the living room is super comfortable. We didn’t sleep on the bed in the loft - it was a little firmer but had a mattress topper to make it more comfortable. The furnishings were clean for the most part (except the couch is a little sketchy) and the kitchen was clean and had everything we needed….coffee pot, toaster, toaster oven, crockpot. There is a Walmart and grocery City Market nearby. It was quiet - we never heard the neighbors. Unfortunately the good didn’t outweigh the bad with the filthy carpet and smell. I am by no means a germaphobe and I almost never complain but this was beyond ridiculous. The poor customer service and unwillingness to do anything to correct it makes this a regrettable experience. If they have a rental and multiple people using it every month there is no excuse not to keep it properly maintained with all the cleaning fees they collect! Don’t waste your money on this one until they remedy the situation. For now sadly this is a hard no!
