About this property

RELAX & ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF LAKE PALESTINE Spectacular Views!!!

There's a spectacular view of Lake Palestine throughout the main home. The oversized covered porch provides the perfect seating to view the lake and relax. Make some smores at the fire pit, Enjoy the pier and boat dock. The boat ramp on the same street as the cottage. You may use the neighborhood pool. This waterfront cottage and bungalow can sleep up to 6 guests in beds on Lake Palestine. Enjoy fishing on the pier or bring your boat and adventure out to all Lake Palestine has to offer. We purchased this property in September 2018. So we've posted a few of the former owner reviews below. Please scroll down to see them.

BYOB - Bring your own boat. There's a boat slip with a lift located on the pier. You can also fish off the private pier.

The main house has a loft room (stairs to loft are steep) with queen size bed, 32" flat screen Smart TV and a 1/2 bath (curtain).

The main floor is open concept and has a daybed with trundle that will sleep 2 and 32" flat screen smart tv with DVR.

Kitchen with corian counter tops, large sink, and stainless steel appliances.

There is a detached room with a king size bed and washer/dryer (no bathroom).

Spend your nights gathered around the fire pit overlooking the panoramic views of the lake, cook some smores at the fire pit or steaks on the propane grill and your mornings on the porch and taking in the beautiful East Texas sunrise.

The main house is 452 square feet and the bungalow is 200 square feet. Super adorable inside. I love this house, and I think you will love it too. This property is very quiet and peaceful. There's nothing like having the lake in your back yard. Come enjoy all this property has to offer.

If you want/need rest/relaxation, this is the spot. I don't recommend staying here in the dead of summer. Window units don't cool very well, so it stays hot inside until well after the sun goes down. The boat slip/fishing pier on the property is not usable. My husband and I fought spiders & mosquitoes inside for the first 2 days. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Being pet friendly is a plus. The host was amazing/readily available.

I’m sorry the summer heat and insects affected your comfort — we’ll double‑check the AC units, as no one has reported issues before. Those bug’s were most likely mayflies that appear seasonally near the water. There are mosquitos, but the mayflies are highly attracted to light and will definitely come in is a door is open. I appreciate your feedback.

The property itself was clean and really cute. The neighborhood was not desirable but not the property's fault. Boat dock needs work, but we weren't using it so not a problem with our stay. Sitting on the porch enjoying the lake was a definite plus.

Married 33 years to my husband, Gary. I'm a native Texan. I grew up in the country, spending most of my weekends on the lake fishing and camping with my family. Our children are grown now, so it's just us. We purchased the lake house to make memories and enjoy it with our children and grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

Absolutely beautiful lakefront view. We've looked for the perfect lake house for the last 3 years. Finally the search was over when we saw this one. This home is so adorable, and the lake is in the backyard. Amazing view from the house, I never want to leave when we go there. Sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch, overlooking the water is so peaceful. Perfect for relaxing, and leaving all your cares behind.
