Quite country setting in Beautiful East TEXAS! Home was very warm and cozy with all the amenities for our Thanksgiving weekend visit. Very Clean! Lots of wildlife, day, and night. Beautiful home inside and out! Loved all of the interior decor details. Very well stocked with everything we needed, high quality linens, and the beds were very comfortable. Every detail, from the kitchen essentials to the cozy blankets and games, made us feel right at home.One of our favorite parts of the trip was simply sitting out on the patio with the fire pit and watching the wildlife—ducks, geese, birds, and even the occasional turtle. Short Get-A-Way

I stayed Sun-Wed, with my 2 adult daughters and infant grandson. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you might need. Plenty of bathroom towels, shampoo, etc. Kitchen was stocked. It was like you were staying with friends. Extras of everything, from paper plates to beach towels. Pool was very nice and we did enjoy visiting with the ducks and geese. It is a little distance from the nearest town--maybe 15 minutes. We really enjoyed the quiet and privacy of the area.

Perfect home away from home!

Home was more interesting than the website! We really enjoyed our 2 day stay, as it was close proximity to Rusk and Palestine area. Loved the decor and home has everything you would need for a short stay, minus groceries. Artwork, books and Netflix made for interesting and non boring interior! The bedding is nicely chosen and beds were reasonably comfortable. Geese on the property weren't too scary, we just respected their territory. Only complaint would be there is not enough hot water to enjoy the garden tub in Master bath. The care taker of the property heated the hot tub for us so we were very happy! I would recommend the Crown Goose for a get away for adults, and not small children.

An Beautiful Eclectic Getaway!

We were looking forward to our stay for weeks and when we finally arrived, we were HIGHLY impressed at how comparable the home was to the photos! The pool was clean and the temperature was great! there is almost everything you will need already at the home during your stay. There are ample towels, pots, pans, coffee maker, plates, etc. The beds are also very comfortable! I will say, bring your own seasonings (including sugar and condiments) that you are accustomed to. It was such a beautiful home and we only left once over our three day stay for dinner at FD's Grille in Jacksonville. *make a reservation ahead if you're going over the weekend or you WILL be waiting* The listing did not mention that there was a grill, but there is one and it works great! There is also a nice TV in the living area and you can log in to your accounts. Feeding the ducks was fun too!
