Cozy yet expansive 3 story home within 15 minutes of Lenox, Stockbridge, Tanglewood, Great Barrington, and Catamount and Butternut Ski Slopes. Wonderful central location for exploring the Berkshires for winter skiing. Recently renovated with private 3rd floor master suite including a study, this home is perfect for a long weekend getaway.

Two bedrooms on the ground floor allow for privacy between adults and children. The middle floor has full kitchen, dining area, living room and TV/game room, and a wood-burning stove.

The open deck and screened porch are perfect for outdoor dining or cocktails by the lake. There is a canoe and rowboat for fishing and in the winter you may actually see ice fisherman.

Wi-Fi access, Satellite TV, upstairs and downstairs washer-dryer, A/C, heat pumps, electric baseboard heating, and whole-house exhaust fan.

Fifth time renting this lake house

Secluded lake house on Round pond. Great view of the pond from the rear deck. Always enjoyable canoeing. Photos are accurate. Only ten minute drive to downtown Great Barrington.

This house was purchased with love by Chris, a retired engineer, and Anita, a lawyer, when they were living in Morristown, New Jersey. Anita is studying Italian and Art History and Chris wrote a book about his family history -
"Is That You Grandpa?". They have 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Rupununi is a nod to Chris' home country, British Guyana. Though Chris passed away in 2025, together they loved golf, music, cooking, reading, travelling, and the Berkshires.

Why they chose this property

They had just seen "On Golden Pond" and were looking for an idyllic location like that. They found it here.

What makes this property unique

The house is right on an 80-acre lake with not another house in sight, yet just a stone's throw from all the Berkshires has to offer.
