This property has been completely remodeled to give you the modern amenities and luxuries of a 5 star hotel. This home takes you back to 1940’s Balboa Island. The minute you step inside the front door, you’ll notice the details, from the original wood floors to the charming gas fireplace. This unit has a front house with 2 bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room / dining room area to enjoy! A garage for parking your vehicle, perfect during the summer months! AC and Wifi throughout the home.
The back unit is a separate loft area with 2 bunk beds ( sleeps 4 ). This loft has a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. It’s a great home for two couples to share, especially if they have children. A perfect spot for kids to hang out, with it’s large television and Xbox system.

Birthday Family Reunion

Another wonderful stay at the Coral Cottage! The home is lovely with special extra touches everywhere. A perfect place to gather with family, close walk to the charming downtown and the Host is very attentive to your needs. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Fantastic stay on Balboa

This home is wonderful. It is in a great location with a great layout and lots of space. We were very comfortable in the beds and the home is very well equipped. Highly highly recommended!

Simply charming

This Cottage is so well thought out, every space is maximized with amazing detail. All the perfect essentials you need, plus some fun bonus surprises, like games, a record player, beach essentials, outdoor shower if you are sandy, etc. The owner is very responsive if you need her, beyond that, it is such a comfortable charming home. Five star review!

I’m a full time mom. I can be found running my kids to soccer, baseball, tennis and surfing. When the kids are in school, I’m usually out walking my dog or doing a spin class. I enjoy yoga, art, great food and a good wine with my husband and friends.

Why they chose this property

I’ve always loved the simpler times. This home makes me feel good, like I stepped into the past. Of course, it’s fully equipped with all the modern technology of today.
Our goal was to try and make our guests feel the charm back when this home was built. Built in 1938, with all the precious details. We restored the original hardware and fixtures. We even decorated the home with photographs that were taken during 1940’s Balboa. Our place has style and class. It’s cozy and comfortable. Not to mention, all our linens and beds are luxury, 5 star. We thought of every detail so you can really enjoy your stay and feel like you’re on vacation. Welcome to Coral Cottage - Balboa Island’s cottage by the sea
