We had a fantastic time staying at the house for our wedding weekend. We had 16 adults stay in the house and there was plenty of room to relax, to cook, and to find a quiet place away from the group. The bedrooms are spacious and cozy. Use the space heaters and extra blankets if you need, and text Mai if you have any issues, she's great. The couches are also big and comfy, so if you wake up in the middle of the night and need to settle down elsewhere, you can do so (we had a couple people with insomnia who were glad to have that option.)
Everyone loved the view from the back porch. There is plenty of seating and it is all really comfy, so we spent a lot of meals and hang out time outdoors. It was really quiet- you can sometimes hear a car drive by, or a dog bark int he distance, or kids laughing, but other than that it's birdsong and the wind. We are all also a bunch of nerds, so here is the animal list: we saw and heard Steller's jays, mountain chickadees, black capped chickadees, ravens, red tailed hawks, vultures, nuthatches, mule deer, and squirrels. It was really relaxing to look into the pine trees and out at the mountains peeking through.
The kitchen is really lovely- we cooked and prepped together for dinner and breakfasts, and even with so many people we had room to move around. There are plenty of basic kitchen supplies, so it's easy to make a meal with the pots, pans, and utensils available. The coffee makers are huge which was great in the mornings.
Beyond kitchen supplies, the place has lots of basic supplies scattered around, so don't worry if you forget to buy coffee creamer or napkins or makeup cleanser. We actually left behind some basic stuff like paper towels and coffee, which I hope the next guests will use. The whole place has a very practical and lived in quality to it, while still being super clean and lovely.
You have to be thoughtful about parking, but we managed to have six cars easily in and out of the garage and driveway without parking anyone in.
Mai was amazing. She helped with the reservation, communicated with use before, during , and after the rental time, and gave us tips for settling in the house. We felt really welcomed by the experience and our guests LOVED having a mountain get-away.
