Welcome to Sea Glass Retreat! We would love to share our home-away-from-home with you! Being that this is our second home, we take pride in well-maintaining the home, and respecting our neighbors. For this reason, we must stress that this is not a "party house", and therefore you must be 30+ to rent our home. In turn, I feel I should also add that while families are welcome, due to glass top tables, the pool, dock and canal, as well as our location being a street (not a cul-de-sac), our home is not suited for children under the age of 13. Security for our home and our renters is a top priority, so we have live security cameras that monitor only the outside perimeter of the home without , in any way, infringing on renter privacy inside the house or the pool area.
If you submit your rental request today, before you know it, you will be relaxing by the pool in the large screened-in lanai overlooking the canal. Dolphins, manatee, stingray, sharks, beautiful water birds and other wildlife have been known to frequent our canals. You can also fish directly from our dock. We are located in the heart of beautiful Punta Gorda Isles, minutes from downtown Punta Gorda and Fisherman's Village (with it's charter boats, quaint shops, open-air restaurants and bars). Two bicycles are provided for you to take a peaceful ride down to the wharf or explore beautiful, historic downtown Punta Gorda.
Directly across the street from our home is the Punta Gorda Nature Park with it's quiet walking path on a 1/2 mile loop. Educational signs allow you to spot and identify various plants, birds, insects and more!
In our 2300 sq foot home, you will enjoy vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan that has large zero-edge glass sliders allowing for fantastic indoor/outdoor living between the lanai and main areas of the home. The lanai has an outside, air-conditioned 1/2 Bathroom, pool (4ft to 5 1/2ft deep, so NO diving allowed) with beautiful LED lights at night (can possibly be heated for additional charge during winter months), extended patio area for sunning, a covered dining area and an outdoor shower spray to rinse off after swimming or a day on the water. It's the perfect spot to relax with a cocktail, read a book, or simply enjoy time with family and friends.
A paver walkway has been installed leading from the lanai to the 30ft wide cement dock area. Feel free to grab a fishing pole and tackle box from the garage and fish from the dock. (See pictures).
The Master Suite includes access to the lanai, king bed, TV, walk in closet, and master bath with garden tub, door-less glass walk-in shower, double sinks, sit down vanity area and private water closet. On the opposite side of the house are the additional 2 bedrooms with large closets, TV's with Roku's and a queen size bed in each room. Next to the guest bedrooms you will find the 2nd full bathroom with double sinks and walk in shower. Need additional sleeping space? A queen air mattress as well as a twin air mattress and linens are provided in totes for your use.
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs! From dishes to bake ware, wine and margarita glasses, to everyday glassware, tea kettle, and kitchen utensils... we have it all! Appliances include Ninja blender, food processor, toaster, air fryer, waffle maker, coffee makers (Keurig as well as 12 cup coffee maker), crock pots, hand mixer, double oven, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. You will find a separate laundry room next to the kitchen with a full size washer and dryer.
The 2 car garage provides one indoor parking spot and an area to grill. Two ceiling fans were also added in the garage for your comfort.
The Rental includes use of fishing polls/tackle, beach chairs/umbrella, cooler, bikes, DVDs, primarily adult board games, books, puzzles, light exercise equipment (stability ball, aerobic step, resistance bands), Secure WiFi, cable TV in main living room, (also, the Blue Ray player, Roku's and Smart TV's offer a multitude of additional viewing material, games, as well as the ability to sign into your own accounts if you subscribe to Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc), BBQ grill, and washer/dryer. Utilities are included up to $325/month*
IMPORTANT POOL NOTE #1: pool heating may exceed the utility allowance in winter months and costs over those stated will be the renters responsibility and can be deducted from deposit at end of stay).
IMPORTANT POOL NOTE #2: During winter months, if air temp is lower than 70 during the day and 50 at night, the pool will NOT heat to desired temps, so pool heating in that case will not be possible.
IMPORTANT POOL NOTE #3: The raised spa area is NOT a hot tub. It does not heat separately and is the same temp as the pool. It serves as an additional small pool seating area.
No pets and no smoking. 2 week minimum stay. Discounted rate given on booked stays of 28 days or more.
