Located near the center of Tamarindo, walking distance to dozens of restaurants, shops, bars and just steps (literally!) to the water. Playa Tamarindo is world famous for its long white sand beach, great surfing, adventure tours and night life, with great restaurants. It is a perfect place for a get away for couples or for families.

Our family has been traveling and living in Costa Rica off and on since 1992. We love the country and spend as much time as we can there, even though we do not currently live their full time. We help run Spanish education programs for families, teens and adults who want to learn Spanish.

Why they chose this property

There is just nothing like it in Tamarindo. It is a special little hidden gem in the heart of the town and directly on the beach. If you want to be close to everything, you cannot beat our place.

What makes this property unique

We had the ability to take a space that was essentially unconstructed and turn it into our home at the beach. We like the beach cottage look of Southern California and modeled the space to emphasis the indoor outdoor lifestyle. It has high ceilings, straights lines and a clean finish. Simple but with some accents and personal touches. Sitting in the hammock on the baloney and reading a book is just the best way to relax and watch the sunset.
