Castillon du Gard - Exceptional View - Large Villa 6 bed/4 bath

"Les Oliviers" is located in a dead-end road, 5 minutes walking distance from the center of a medieval village. The house offers an exceptional point of view of the Pont du Gard and the surrounding landscape.

Very quiet and preserved from neighboring properties thanks to almost 1 hectare of lush garden, it is a perfect haven for families or groups of adult friends.

Offering 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the house comfortably accommodates 10 people (up to 12 if traveling with children 24 months or less).

On the southern side, the large terrace - 60m2 - overlooks the pool and garden. At the pool level, the summer kitchen and/or Pool-House is equipped with a sink, a large countertop, a small refrigerator and a state-of-the-art plancha grill. The Pool House also features a half-bathroom (powder room).

The pool is 10m by 4m (33ft by 13ft). It is equipped with a rigid safety cover, perfect for your peace of mind if you are traveling with young children. Covering the pool also help to prevent the water from cooling at night.

The garden, almost 1 hectare big, is planted with many regional species of trees. Kids love to explore it and look for the funny sculpted plants. The front of the house makes a perfect and shaded natural pétanque terrain.

We hire a professional service to deal with the preparation of your stay, as well as check-in / check-out processes. Linens and bathroom towels are provided. A poolman and a gardener come by on a weekly basis. End-of-stay cleaning and laundry services are included in the price. Please consult the House Rules Section for more details.

Castillon-du-Gard is one of the most beautiful village on this side of Provence. It is perched on a hill overlooking the surrounding forests and vineyards. Within walking distance, you will find all the necessary amenities: bakery, grocery store, butchershop, newsagent, cafe and several restaurants (including two of gastronomic level) in a preserved medieval and very provencale atmosphere.

We had a fantastic time. We wanted to come back to the region with the whole family, having had a wonderful holiday - just myself and my wife - the previous year in Aigueze (Ardeche). The property, including swimming pool and garden are beautiful, and Castillon du Gard is a lovely quiet village with some great restaurants - delicious food and wine and welcoming service. The views are spectacular and the surrounding countryside is lovely. We went for long walks (including to the Pont de Gard), and the younger and more energetic members of our family went for long runs. We also went on a family kayak trip along the Gard one day, kayaking under the famous bridge! We had the perfect holiday (and are still drinking the many bottles of local wine we purchased to bring back to the UK). Thanks very much, especially to Nicole who welcomed us to the sparkling clean home and gave us very helpful instructions for our wonderful stay.

Really lovely week spent here. We were greeted on arrival by Nicole who was super friendly and explained everything we needed to know. There was also a Useful Information sheet in English, covering matters such as pool cleaning and bin collection. The Villa was very well equipped and extremely clean. We had everything we needed - even mosquito plugs!The view of Pont du Gard must be one of the best in the country. The only thing which could be improved was the double bed in the upstairs bedroom which seemed old and was soft. Otherwise everything was great. Huge thanks to Nicole and Olivier.

Great accomodation to spend time in the summer. Easy check-in and check-out. Nice pool, lots of space (indoor and outdoor), complete (new) kitchen and good options for dining outside. We love the garden and also the cute village. Enough to do in the neigbourhood (lunch, dinner, wine, g ).

Fabulous location.

Beautiful house in a terrific location overlooking the Pont du Gard. Great pool, plenty of outside sitting space, and large garden.Short walk into Castillon du Gard, which is a lovely hilltop village , and has a bakers, butchers/ deli, 2 restaurants, two cafes that do good food, and a bar. Easy trips locally to Pont du Gard, Uzes, Avignon and Nimes. Only negatives were lack of aircon in the two downstairs bedrooms, and beds and bedding need an upgrade.

We enjoyed our stay for the fourth time in Les Oliviers. Arrival, stay and check-out went again smoothly. Nice new kitchen, airco, pool-service once a week, great view, beautiful garden, quiet environment and enough to do in and close by this typical nice French little village.

Bel endroit à tous points de vue

Nous avons passé une semaine en août à 10 en famille. Presque un sans-faute, juste deux ou trois bémols. Le positif, d'abord, car c'est ce que nous retiendrons : - La situation : difficile de faire mieux, avec cette vue à couper le souffle sur le Pont du Gard, dans une petite rue calme, à proximité directe du centre de Castillon-du-Gard (possibilité d'aller dans un des petits restos ou à la boulangerie à pieds). A mi-chemin entre Uzes et Avignon, c'est parfait pour les excursions. Top ! - La maison : belle et bien agencée, avec ses nombreuses chambres et salles de bain, on ne s'y est jamais sentis à l'étroit à dix. Chouette piscine, jouxtée d'un espace plancha et d'une toilette, joli jardin, énorme et clôturé dans lequel les enfants peuvent jouer en toute sécurité, équipement tout à fait correct, il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour faire la cuisine ou se détendre (transats, fléchettes, ping-pong, pétanque, etc.). - L'accueil et la personne de contact : rien à redire, les explications sont claires, la maison propre, une bonne réactivité et un contact continu en cas de soucis, la sympathie en plus. Les petits bémols, donnés dans une optique constructive: - Absence de clim dans les deux chambres du rez-de-chaussée, literie très molle (avec de mauvaises nuits à la clé pour certains d'entre nous) et quelques équipements vieillissants (lampes grillées, moustiquaires tous percés, grille coincée...). Rien de catastrophique; juste un peu dommage au vu du prix de la location.

En ce qui concerne les points "constructifs": - l'abscence de clim dans les chambres du RDC est tres clairement indiquee' sur l'annonce. - il y a des sur-matelas sur plusieurs lit afin de permettre aux locataires d'ajuster la fermete'. Il suffisait de les enlever. - c'est vous qui avait casse' la poignee' du portail, n'est-ce pas un peu injuste de nous reprocher que celui-ci etait coince' apres coup? Amicalement,

Fremragende udemiljø og udsigt

Et fantastisk ophold, specielt ude områderne og udsigten fra de mange terrasser var bjergtagende. dejlige krydderurter i den store flotte have, var med til at skabe lækker mad, både på den store pladegrill men også på kulgrillen. kan klart anbefales at bruge lang tid i huset. tæt påen skøn by med, bageri, delikatesse forretning, 4 restauranter og et lille værtshus. Un petit bijou dans un écrin de verdure

Nous avons loué cette villa splendide pendant deux semaines pour passer des vacances en famille et entre amis. Réussite total! Tout était parfait. D’abord l’emplacement….juste magique avec une vue imprenable sur le Pont du Gard. Tous les soirs nous pouvions admirer le spectacle « son et lumière » du pont directement de la terrasse. Ensuite le jardin paysager avec son entrée majestueuse d’oliviers… juste sublime! Et puis il y a évidemment la maison avec sa piscine magnifique …effet WOW garanti. Elle est spacieuse, fonctionnelle, d’une propreté irréprochable et meublée/décorée avec goût. Elle est très bien équipée, il y a tout simplement tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un excellent séjour (cuisine d’été, plancha, BBQ, terrain de pétanque, table de ping-pong, des éclairages extérieurs pour les soirées au bords de la piscine etc. etc.). Communication rapide et facile aussi bien avec le propriétaire qu’avec Mélanie (la dame qui s’occupe de la gestion sur place). Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir!

Mooi, groot huis. Ideaal voor 2 gezinnen.

Het huis is gelegen op loopafstand van een klein dorpje waar een paar restaurants te vinden zijn en een bakker. Het huis en de tuin zijn erg groot en voorzien van alle gemakken (wasmachine, airco in de woonkamer en de slaapkamers boven, buitenkeuken, Nespresso machine etc). Het zwembad is in verhouding tot de tuin en het huis, wellicht iets aan de kleine kant maar biedt heerlijke afkoeling tijdens warme dagen. Wij hebben er met 5 kinderen (waarvan 3 pubers) veel lol van gehad! Wij raden het huis zeker aan en komen graag terug.

Outstanding villa for all the family

We had a wonderful holiday at Les Oliviers despite temperatures of 40°! It is a wonderful spacious property with amazing views and well kept garden. Beautiful well maintained pool to cool off in and lots of games to keep all ages amused. Superb!

Très bon séjour

La maison est spacieuse et son équipement est complet. Nous étions en famille (grand-parents, parents et jeunes enfant) et la configuration de la maison et du jardin permet des espaces séparés pour le confort de tous. Le jardin est vaste et bien entretenu, et la vue sur le pont du Gard juste magnifique !

Très bel endroit

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette belle maison avec une vue dominante magnifique sur la campagne environnante. Maison très bien équipée et dont la configuration permet d'y séjourner nombreux sans se gêner. Les enfants ont adoré la piscine et le beau jardin décoré de topiaires. Félicitations au jardinier!

Excellent séjour !

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour au sein de la propriété, nous étions 12 personnes et la maison était particulièrement bien adaptée à notre groupe. Les chambres sont spacieuses et les 4 salles de bain permettent à chacun d'avoir son indépendance. La maison est très bien équipée et vous trouverez normalement tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour cuisiner (four, plaques, ustensiles, BBQ charbon, plancha au gaz...) ou vous amuser (accessoires de piscine, table de ping-pong, pétanque...). Le terrain est très grand, bien entretenu et la vue sur le pont du Gard est splendide !
