Great location of you want to be away from it all. We enjoyed walks and exploring as well as trips to near by attractions, including Chinney Rock! Great time for dinner at the old jail turned resturant/ brewery, Iron Key Brewery. Wish we could of seen some snow..maybe next year!

Kerry, thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Hawks View, and took advantage of the beautiful surroundings. Chimney Rock is a fantastic destination, and it sounds like you had a great time exploring the area. Iron Key Brewery is definitely a unique dining experience! We hope you get to see some snow on your next visit—there's nothing quite like the winter magic in the mountains. We can’t wait to welcome you back!
Spectacular setting for our Thanksgiving celebration. Watching the sunrise on the porch set the stage for wonderful days. All details and amenities are provided. Fabulous kitchen, great rooms and bathrooms. The hot tub was a nice treat at the end of the day. We thank the Anderson’s for opening their home to us.

Very nice home with beautiful views. Home was very well maintained. The biggest downsides were that there were a lot of bugs dead and alive) in the home when we arrived. Like the home hadn’t been vacuumed in quite some time. We understand bugs are a fact of life in the mountains but this was really excessive. Lots of large black carpenter ants all over the main floor. The other negative that we didn’t see mentioned in the listing is that there are no window coverings at all in the upstairs bedrooms. One trim had half of a shutter but all the cars coming up the road shine their headlight right in through the top half. The other room has nothing at all. So bright sunshine starts coming in about 6:30 ever morning and it doesn’t get dark until almost 9 at night. The two bedrooms in the basement have what can be described as shears at best. They cover the windows but do not filter out any light, and since they both face south east, they both get early morning sun. No one was able to sleep in. If this was highlighted in the listing we could have brought some eye coverings.

Hawks View is a beautiful home with a spectacular view. We had a long weekend with extended family and this property was perfect for our needs. The home is inviting, comfortable, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We would certainly recommend Hawks View to anyone looking for a wonderful mountain home in the area.
This beautiful mountain house surpassed all expectations and the view was even more breathtaking than we imagined. Our school team of teachers were able to have several great meetings on the deck where we had comfortable seating for all of us. It was very clean and well organized with easy access to anything we needed. I highly recommend this property!
Hawk’s View was a beautiful spot for a relaxing mountain getaway. The home was clean and had every amenity we needed. We loved cooking in the open kitchen and enjoyed family meals in this breath taking setting. Our kids loved the bunk beds, the vintage restaurant booth and arcade game. The wrap around porches had plenty of comfortable seating and panoramic Mountain View’s. The power went out twice during our stay (summer storms) and the generator kicked right on to provide lights and refrigeration until power was restored. The management company was incredibly helpful and even had a service call and a/c repair on the 4th of July. We can’t wait to come back to Hawk’s View!

Awesome Views and Ambiance
We had an awesome long Memorial Day weekend. The views are outstanding – one day the clouds were below the house so the views were above the clouds, while the others were clear and you could see for miles. Great fun dining out ( Stone Soup and Purple Onion highly recommended ), while equally nice seating on the deck during the evenings. We also visited two wineries that were a short drive – with fun ambiance. We even drove to the top of the mountain, past the waterfall and came down on the other side.
Time flew before we had to leave.
The home in part is 1/4 restored log cabin, which is attached to modern construction. Very solid and exceptionally clean and well maintained. Bedrooms are private and the hot water plentiful.
Note – it is easier entering the driveway when going up the mountain, but our jeep was able to do the turn in going down.

Spectacular Mountain House
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful mountain house. It was centrally located between four cities with many great restaurants, shops and wineries to explore. We enjoyed being close to numerous water falls, hiking trails and just a short distance from Ashville and all it has to offer. The house was beautifully decorated, well stocked for all your cooking needs, and spectacular views. We enjoyed the hot tub and both fireplaces while dining alfresco. The game room was fun and provided us a fun afternoon while just enjoying the house. We enjoyed it so much, we booked it for another long weekend just a month later. We will come back again.
We recommend this mountain house to anyone who enjoys luxury accommodations in a spectacular setting.

Great unit. Great views. Clean
We have stayed at a number of houses in or near Tryon and this has been the nicest.
The name “Hawks View” is appropriate. The views from the back deck are amazing.
The only think I would make you aware of is the drive up the mountain is a little curved. There are a couple switch backs that are sharp and in a big truck it can be tricky. We were horse showing at Tryon and had a couple large pick up trucks and at night the corners are sharp.
Overall a great house and would rent there again. The notes the home owner left were great and helpful and Melaine has always done a great job for us.

Spectacular!
I have rented many properties through HA, but this one is a jewel! The architecture, decor, and livability of this home makes for a classy yet comfortable mountain experience. The view is a Hawk's world with at least 180 degrees of expansive Blue Ridge landscape. We most enjoyed the great room, kitchen and decks which provide plentiful conversation spaces for a large group. We cooked in the well-appointed kitchen, chilled in the hot tub, made s'mores in the fireplace, and walked up to the waterfall. What else can you ask for?

Horse Show Trip Turned VACATION!
I recently stayed at Hawk's View for one week (Monday to Monday) while in town for a summer horse show at Tryon International Equestrian Center and had a fantastic experience. The house has every amenity you could possibly need, including a beautiful and modern kitchen (fully equipped with all the essentials!), spacious and comfortable living spaces, internet and TV, washer/dryer, cozy bedrooms (the master has an AMAZING walk-in closet for long stays and a beautiful bathroom!), and more. The house is exactly as the photos appear and also immaculately clean and well-managed. Perhaps my favorite parts of the house were the two balconies, both off of separate living spaces on two different floors - perfect if you are sharing the house with multiple families or just want the kids to have their own separate space to decompress. The drive up and down the mountain to the Equestrian Center was a breeze - 15-20 minutes maximum - and it's also nice that the commute passes through the town of Columbus so you can grab whatever you need at the grocery store, CVS, gas station, a bite to eat, all while on the way. There are plenty of great restaurants and little towns with fun shops to explore nearby, but you may end up loving the views from the balconies so much that you opt to make a meal yourself in the fabulous kitchen and enjoy it outside. While I personally was in town for the horse show, Hawk's View would make the perfect retreat for a girls' weekend, relaxed honeymoon in the mountains, or family reunion. It's a versatile rental with amenities that are equal to (and maybe even surpass...) a five-star hotel, and no matter what you are in town for, you will feel like you are on vacation at Hawk's View!
