This is a very cute and comfortable location. Beautiful views and stunningly cute cabin with all the luxurious you need. The host is very curtiouous and accommodating. This location is the very top of the mountain top so you get that feeling of privacy without being in the middle of nowhere. I would highly recommend this listing, and look forward to visiting again.
Great house for secluded vacation. Does take a while to get up the mountain(15-20 min) and could be challenging in inclement weather, but was fine in truck and Honda civic. Close to Cherokee, Sylva.
The cabin was beautifully decorated. We loved the wrap around porch with hot tub and cornhole boards set up on porch instead of in the yard. Loved the table to eat out on porch with nice views of mtn. The only downfall was the long gravel road up the mtn,but we knew that when we booked it.
Awesome little cabin on the top of the mountain, lot of reviews say the road is really sketchy going up and down but it’s really not that bad. I would recommend a truck or an SUV that has four-wheel-drive just in case
Other than having to haul the trash inside of our packed vehicle to the next town there are no complaints. It’s represented accurately. The trash situation would make me hesitant to rent it again unless I was in a truck.
The property was beautiful, well maintained and home very clean and well stocked. Beds were a little hard but nice and clean. We loved the deck and spent most of our time outside at the large table and chairs also where we ate dinner. The drive up the mountain was a little rough but we did have a 4 wheel drive and made it just fine. Overall I would have to rate it a 5 out of 5 ❤️ We would definitely book it again.
My friends and I traveled on the day hurricane Helene hit. Thankfully we got to the cabin without issue only to find no water, power, or cell service. After dealing with downed power lines and downed trees we finally were able to make it into town to contact our vrbo host. Within hours he showed up with a generator, all the fuel we would need for our stay. It was an insane situation but he really showed up and took care of us
The cabin itself is absolutely beautiful. The views are spectacular and it's well worth the time it takes to get up to it.
Make sure you have four wheel drive. The switchbacks are pretty steep and would be difficult without a decent vehicle.
The drive up the hill was intimidating, but then I felt foolish when I saw a builder drove a ford fusion up and down everyday. The property was clean and the hot tub was great. I did not try the sauna. The view is incredible as you are at the end of the road all the way at the top. I would stay again, but it would be in the autumn to see the leaves changing colors.
Wonderful weekend with my brothers!!+ Scenery was everything to us. Everything you need is there except your food of course. The drive up to the place was the only negative thing I have to say. I drove my truck so it wasn't bad however my brother drove his car to save on gas but found out he should have driven his....great stay overall!!
The travel up to the cabin can get a little hair raising for a flat lander. 14 degree slope. 2014 Honda CR-V went up like a mule in 1st gear. Going down took a little skill. Pump and Glide, Pump and Glide down the peak.
Heavens Peak stay was great. 8 people stayed comfortably for 5 days. Cloud 9
The wildlife wasn’t very active. Seen Elk in Cherokee. Listen to a pack of Wolves fight on the mountain side off the deck.
5/5
Went with our 5 teenagers and the loved the place. We never left for the two days we were there. The drive up is a bit extreme and something most folks should consider doing during the day and not after having just a beer with dinner. We have a diesel suburban and it was really tight in spots and I just just thankful we didn’t run into another truck going the opposite direction. All that being said, we will absolutely stay again if we have the chance. This time though, we will pack everything we need for the time and just slow things down and enjoy some family time together, literally on top of a mountain! I hope everyone else that stays here enjoys it as much as we did.
Great place to stay and everything is exactly as the description explains and the photos show. I will say as other people have mentioned that by all means 4x4 is not just a recommendation by in my opinion a requirement. We had 4x4 and had no problem whatsoever but I cannot imagine someone without it trying to make it to the top of the mountain. Because backing down or turning around mid way up in my opinion is not an option. So I can’t express enough to make sure you do have 4x4, you’ll thank me and yourselves for it. Once you’re at the top though all I can say is it truly is heavens peak. Would love to book again in the future!! Also within 30 min of casino or the gsmr!
It is a beautiful area! Great views! There are other houses near by but were not distrubed. We had a couple people come by bur turned around and left. Was a little difficult to figure out how far is was as there was no sign for it until you get to it. Has pretty much everything you need. The refrigerator didnt have all the parts in it which made it a little difficult to have everything in it and was not very clean. They have games and stuff there you can play. We brought our own so didnt messs with their's. It was a very nice place to just get away and hang out in the peace and quiet. However, it is literally 3 miles straight up a mountain. Definitely a place to stay but wouldnt recommended going and coming constantly. Overall, was a beautiful place and very nice to stay. Great hide away just didnt like the ride up and down the mountain.
When I tell you this was a perfect get away to the mountains, it totally is!!!!
The home was clean, cozy and spacious at the same time!
I traveled with my husband, mother in law and nephew and we all enjoyed the views and the entire set up of the cabin. All necessary needs to cook.
The beds were all comfy and loved the large bench style dining table for games and food.
The outside porch is Magnificent, the views, hot tub, sauna and patio furniture.
The fire pit is definitely only for the younger generations as the hill it pretty steep getting up and down. It was good for us except my mother in law definitely couldn’t make it down but she watched from porch!
Easy access to get all your luggage in as you can back up right to front porch.
I definitely suggest bringing all you need so you don’t have to go up and down the gravel narrow longggg driveway. But this was why we had such amazing views!!!!
We had EVERYTHING for our long weekend so we didn’t have to leave once until we checked out.
The host was super accommodating upon checkin to checkout and VERY RESPONSIVE to ALL my questions!
Highly SUGGEST!
*4WD NECESSARY* not for the faint hearted lol

Great Cabin!
This is a beautiful property situated on the top of the mountain with great views! I'll echo the original reviewer in that it does take some effort to reach the home and 4WD is recommended. We had rain and fog for 2 days straight and there were some stretches I'm not sure we would've made it up without the 4wd assistance, but once the rain stopped and things dried up it wasn't too difficult. It definitely added to the sense of adventure and remoteness which our family loved! The cabin on a whole was beautifully decorated as depicted in the photos, and was even seasonally themed for the holidays and included a Christmas tree which was a nice touch. The owner was also very easy to communicate with and quick to respond.
We shared the house with another family and had plenty of space and things to occupy our kids - games, air hockey, hot tub, tv's, etc. We didn't have time to take advantage of the sauna this trip but had we stayed longer we would have. Once you get back down the gravel road it's a quick drive into Bryson City. We visited mainly to take our kids to the Polar Express and had a great trip overall. Highly recommend the property if you're in the area!
I read some reviews that made me a bit nervous but honestly the place is fabulous. Hockey table worked perfect my teenagers enjoyed it. We enjoyed hot tub. Amazing views. Super clean.
The drive was a bit rough for me but I made it without any problems, gravel was a bit muddy because it probably rained before we got there however we made it up and down ok. The only down part was having to take trash with us cause dumpster was closed due to the holiday LOL so we drove 3 hours with the trash in our pickup truck! But it was all good. Other than that, we were able to ride our four wheelers and had a blast in the back porch. Also, went down the hill for a little campfire gathering with the friends and kiddos. My knees are not in good shape so it was a bit much for me to walk down the hill for it but had a blast nonetheless. We did have to drive down mountain in the rain to get something from grocery store it’s a 35 min drive but it didn’t feel like much because we enjoyed the fog and view and all. This place is definitely for a 4x4!!! Will save this place and come back in the summer!!!!!!!! Totally recommend it if you’re up for some fun!!!!
Property itself was amazing but check-in and cleanliness was lacking
The 3 mile drive up the mountain was stressful on the one vehicle wide gravel road but we expected it and made the trip fine. Check-in was at 4pm, once we arrived it appeared the owner appeared to be staying in the house while building on nearby properties. Was not able to check in at 4 and was asked to wait while he removed his things from the house. I asked about the house being cleaned and was reassured it would be. About 45 minutes later we were allowed in the house but was not clean. Hair clumps in upstairs shower and downstairs bathroom sink. Several trash items found in places out of normal sight in the house (nightstand drawers, behind furniture) Water pressure is a little different as it is being pumped and goes up and down. Upstairs handheld shower head doesn't work. And be careful on the stools at the bar as they appear tall but quickly sink down when you sit on them.
Beautiful cabin, impeccably kept, located at the very top of the mountain with great views.
We stayed during July with the family, the area offers great opportunities for kayaking, zip lining and o ther outdoor activities.
The internet connection is very good and there are several TVs with cable, Netflix, etc
The route to get to the cabin requires you to leave the paved backroad and go up the mountain on a gravel road. This in my opinion is only suitable for SUVs.
Two things that could be improved are the outdoor grill which was very small and old and the garbage process which requires you to take all your garbage back with you instead of disposing it in the cabin.
Overall a very positive experience for the whole family. Would recommend to friends.
Everything was amazing. It was beautiful great experience
I didn’t appreciate the garbage situation that was a bit much. It was a big inconvenience having to go take out trash to come back to check out because everything and everyone didn’t fit in my vehicle.
