Keystone Condo Close to Shuttle, but Quiet & Peaceful Mountain Location!

This 1-bedroom + loft, 2-bathroom condo sleeps 7 with a queen bed, twin-over-queen bunk bed, and queen sleeper sofa. It features an updated primary suite in the loft. West Keystone offers a peaceful mountain location, yet with the shuttle you're just minutes from all the resort has to offer. Flying Dutchman offers shared amenities including an outdoor heated pool and an indoor hot tub.

The living area features a gas fireplace with a rustic mantel and floor-to-ceiling wood surround. There is a mounted flat screen TV with a sound bar and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Additional sheets and blankets are in a closet. The vaulted ceilings are finished with modern wood paneling and give an open feel. Just off the living area you can walk out to the private deck that offers scenic views.

The kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home. The dining area comfortably seats four people and there are four additional seats at the breakfast bar. The first of two full bathrooms is off the main living area and has a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination. All bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The updated primary suite is in the upstairs loft and features a queen-sized bed, a flat screen TV and vaulted ceilings. The en suite bathroom has a single sink vanity and a walk-in shower with tile surround and glass enclosure. The guest bedroom is on the main level and features a twin-over-queen bunk bed and access to the private deck.

The entire property is very clean and well taken care of. The condo we stayed in looked exactly like the picture. Everything was well stocked i could not ask for a better place to stay and the price was great. I will definitely stay here again and will recommend to anyone planning a trip to the area

Great home, management company was disappointing and not helpful

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our little condo. It was super cute and more spacious that expected. Perfect for our needs. We booked this place for my wedding weekend. I understand the 2 parking permits, but when messaging the management company, they gave no helpful recommendations for parking/transpo options close by and were very short with me. Their directions weren’t clear on how to get to the condo and everyone got lost. No accommodation on early check-in or late check-out...they didn’t even acknowledge my request. Overall, quite a disappointing experience with the management company and will never book through them again. Apart from that, we enjoyed the actual condo. One last note- we made it work, but not the typical stocked kitchen so be prepared for that. For those who will book this for your wedding, I don’t recommend it only because of the management company. If that’s not a worry, I’d recommend the space.

The individual condo unit is great. The condo building has a constant mildew or moldy smell to it. The pool and sauna facilities are average at best and the hot tub wasn't operational.

The leather furniture in the living room looked great, but the cushions were a bit flat. The kitchen had all of the necessities to cook with, good quality pots, pans, knives, etc. The Weber grill was clean and awesome to cook on. Beds slept well, the master bedroom gets early morning sun that can't be blocked, but the master shower was awesome. Bathrooms were clean and good overall. Only issue we had was that the heat was set to 65, but it was 80 inside and the dining room heater was running. Turned the thermostat down and never had another issue. I would stay here again, it was great for 3 people.

Nice But Needs Some Repair

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is very nice, but there were some condition issues with electrical and USB sockets. The dishwasher handle was damaged and we were unable to open. The coffee maker had a broken top so the water did not all go through to the carafe. We notified the property management company about the electrical problems and dishwasher, but opted to not have them repaired during our stay. The unit is quiet except for the baseboard heaters. The unit was very clean. It would be nice to know what is supplied already in the condo (like type of coffee maker) so you can plan on what to bring with you. Parking is close. A map for unit location would be helpful.

The condo is nice but we feel we should mention the problems so they will actually get repaired for the next guest. We have notified the property manager in addition to listing them in this review. It is quiet, we did not hear any neighbors during our stay. The electrical and USB sockets need repair, they don't work or not attached to the wall properly. The one in the upstairs bath does not work at all so you won't be drying your hair in there. The dishwasher wouldn't open. The latch was broken. The frying pans are old and warped. The coffee maker has a broken lid so the water doesn't all make it into the carafe. The lighting is a little dark. It would be nice if the lights in the upstairs bedroom worked on the switch. There is no room for luggage in the upstairs bedroom. The very large dresser isn't useful for people only staying a few nights. No place to put the extra pillows. We agree with another reviewer that the baseboard heaters are very noisy (ear plugs will help you get a better night sleep). The unit could use a window covering for the top of the bedroom window so the full moon doesn't wake you. A map showing the actual location of the unit and where the trash is instead of a generic notice from the property manager would be nice. Not sure why we have to take out the trash if we have to be out of the unit by 10AM so housekeeping can clean it. Normally trash removal is a housekeeping job.

Decent. We weren't allowed to check in until 4:30 PM. The toilet water was running all night, and the apartment was noisy in general (lots of creaking). We also had to pick up the key elsewhere, and it was very difficult for us to find the place based on the instructions provided.

This property was a great fit for my family of 4 adults. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub at the end of the long day. The location is perfect. The trails near the property were beautiful and we were able to explore neighboring communities such as Frisco, Breckenridge, and Vail without a long drive. We would recommend this property and plan to come back.

Was OK but not great

The condo is mostly clean but very dated. Beds were clean and comfortable enough. The unit is located on the second floor and at the far end from parking. There is no elevator so if you have luggage, you’ll be going up a tight stair case and walking to the other end of the unit. Not very convenient. We had an alarm going off in the unit across from us the entire second day/night. The building is getting older and not the most clean. It was fine for what we needed but we won’t be booking it again.
