Clear View Cottage is a cozy mountain retreat where you can quickly escape from the city and be surrounded by nature. The cottage is totally private, perfectly located, completely outfitted with designer details. We are located just off of 441 in Mountain City, just minutes from downtown Clayton. The cottage is on a private secluded lot with a small creek running through the property. Clear View Cottage is convenient to all that the North Georgia Mountains has to offer! And, we are very close to Highland, NC.

We are close to Lake Rabun and Lake Burton, the most beautiful mountain lakes in Georgia! Lake Rabun was built in 1915 by Georgia Power. The lake s cool, deep waters have been a year round haven for the most discriminating Atlantans and others. You can rent a boat, pontoon or wave runner, hang out on the beach or Bring your own boat for a day of fun on the lake skiing, tubing, wake-boarding or just cruising. You could also discover Lake Tugaloo or Tallulah lake. They are both quiet hidden gems for swimming, rock diving or a picnic. Lake Seed and Lake Burton Offer similar activities and are not very far.

If you want to explore, Tallulah Gorge is only minutes away. Here you can find, beautiful waterfalls, hikes, bolder trekking and tons of fun on Sliding rock (Angel Falls). The Tallulah River offers excellent fishing-stocked by the DNR.

You will probably not want to leave Clear View cottage, but we have so many things to do that you have to get out and enjoy the many activities. We have horse back riding, white water rafting, a zip-line over the canopied forest, biking, hiking, tennis and golfing.
We have award winning dining all around us! We are just a few minutes to Main street Clayton, Mountain city And the charming little Lakemont Village. On the way to Lakemont, you can stop by Tiger Mountain Vinyards for Lunch at the Red Barn and a wine tasting in the vineyard. Clayton also offers great shopping, dining and sight seeing.
You could also make an hour long trip to Highlands or Cashiers, NC for other coveted shopping destinations.
