Rue with a View – Picturesque Mountain Views

2 Bedrooms and loft: King, King, Queen, Full Sleeper sofa and 2 Baths – 2 wrap around decks – Mountain Views.
With views for miles, those looking for a view, peace and quiet will not be disappointed. The cabin sits just 3 miles from downtown Clayton, on Screamer Mountain facing South Carolina. With upper and lower wrap around decks, there is plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. The lower deck is covered, with ceiling fans for enjoying the views. There is a large, flat parking area with easy access to the cabin.
Inside, there are two bedrooms and a loft area for sleeping or taking an afternoon nap. There are two full bathrooms and an open kitchen with ample counter space for those who want to cook their own meals. An open family room allows for relaxing in front of the tv or playing games at the dining room table. Downstairs the game room supplies fun for all with a full-sized Arcade Console and flat screen tv. There is a full-sized sofa sleeper in the game room as well.
The master bedroom is downstairs off the game room and allows direct access to the lower covered wrap around deck. The master bathroom includes a jetted tub for relaxing after a day of hiking some of the nearby waterfalls. The laundry room is downstairs and includes a washing machine, dryer and wash basin.
Cell phones will either be spotty or not work at this location, however, Internet is provided so you can use the VoIP service offered on most phones (Voice Over Internet Protocol).
We supply 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom 2 two rolls of paper towels in kitchen, along with hotel size soaps, laundry detergent and shampoo. Hopefully this will be enough basics to give you time to go shopping once you have settled in.

We had an amazing time at this cabin! The road leading up was paved, so it was easy to get to, and the view was absolutely astonishing. The cabin had everything we needed and more, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. We traveled with our 1.5 year old, and the gate at the top of the stairs gave us great peace of mind. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again!

The view is fabulous, older home but had everything we needed. I was not opening the door correctly called and Derek answered my call right away and told me what I was doing wrong! He is very nice and friendly. We plan to go back next year, I love the area as my ancestors are Vandivers and Pooles.

I do not regret staying here!

A beautiful secluded cabin with a beautiful view. Only 5 minutes from the town of Clayton. Cabin came with practically everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The jet tub, fireplace, and video games were also nice to have! My family and I really enjoyed our stay. If we come back to this area we would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was a perfect weekend getaway. The view is amazing. It was especially nice that we are able to bring our dog. Everything that we needed was supplied. Clayton is a cute town and was super close for a quick visit.

We had a great time! The views from the decks are fabulous! It rained several days during our stay, but the covered downstairs deck allowed us to enjoy sitting outside. We highly recommend this property.

We are two friends who decided we wanted property in North Georgia. I am originally from Colorado, and my business partner is a native of Atlanta. We both fell in love with the mountains and mountain life early on. He has been coming up and hiking these woods for years and I spent my youth in the mountains of Colorado. We finally decided we needed a place we could come to as we pleased. Rabun County is 70% National Forrest. The amount of hiking is almost unlimited. Making for a great place to get away.

Why they chose this property

The view is the first, but not the only reason. The cabin itself is exactly what we wanted. The large open space with windows for the view, as well as the Master with its own private covered deck with great views. Secluded in the mountains, yet just a short trip to the town of Clayton. We fell in love immediately with all of it. We spent the first 6 months renovating to repair, upgrade and make it more comfortable.
