Clemson Weekend

We had an amazing stay! Great location, especially for Clemson. Enjoyed several hikes as well. Our kids enjoyed exploring the woods and lake across the street. Enjoyed the little extras like games, drinks, and shampoo/conditioner provided. Check in and out easy. Thanks so much!

Comfortable, Clean, and Spacious

The house is located in a beautiful woodsy area with a lake nearby. Loved the open spaces inside the house. We were truly comfortable, not crowded by too much decoration. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Lots of extra towels and blankets. Beds were very comfortable. Check-in was easy. Owner left good instructions in the house. We were even able to work the TV (which is an accomplishment for us). House has lots of books and games available. Laundry room is great. Two weaknesses: 1. Bedrooms generally do not have place for hanging clothes. 2. The chest of drawers in one bedroom was dangerous to use. The drawer glides were broken and the drawers would just fall out on your foot if you pulled them more than about 1/2 of the way out. All in all, we enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to return.

The Seneca Private Setting was very comfortable, very nice home, easy to drive to and great view of the lake. The host communicated well and provided excellent guides for the area and the home. We would definitely recommend for a stay in the Clemson area. It was a plus for us to be close to where our Family resided. Thank you for a memorable visit.

Great Stay

Has everything you need. Streaming services. Complimentary snacks, drinks and coffee was a nice touch. Very clean. Reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.

My wife Jennifer and I have 2 kids. We have been married for 18 years and this is the home we lived in for most of those years. We are excited to share our house with you!

Why they chose this property

I think the second most thing that we are told about our house is that it feels dated. Granted we aren’t told that too often, but when we are it’s probably because it is a little. It’s not your modern home with Agreeable Grey paint on the walls and modern sleek engineered flooring. There are probably a few scuff marks on the wall that maybe my kids put there or someone else’s did when they were visiting. But see we have tried to make our place as affordable as we can to as many people as we can coming to the Clemson area. I think if you will look at some of the other prices of comparable places in our area you’ll see that. We want our place to be affordable to the family coming to visit their kid at school, to the man who is coming to take a fishing trip with his son, to the nurse or pastor coming to temporarily serve our area, and to anyone and everyone in between.

The number one thing we are told about our place? It felt like home while we were there.

So if modern décor is what you need, we aren’t the rental for you. But if you are looking for an affordable short term rental that is just a hop, skip and a jump from most places in Upstate South Carolina come stay with us. About 20% of our rentals now are return visitors that have stayed with us before.

It ain’t modern, but it was a good first home for our family and we hope it will be a good short term home for yours.
