Great outstanding place, could have a little more entertainment in the rooms but other than that it was great. Needs better parking for boats while reason I booked was for a fishing trip but parking wasn’t the best for a pontoon mane put better parking for a boat and trailer and I’ll book again but great experience
We loved the cabin. The couple of issues we had, the host helped as much as possible. Quick to answer. Owner went to the cabin and fixed the issues. The owner was appreciative of our positive communication. Very pleasant to deal with. We enjoyed our stay. We wish we had stayed another night. I would recommend this cabin.
My advice would be to find a good cleaning company, provide new linens for each guest, you need to include internet issues with the original listing giving guest the opportunity to decide if they will settle, move the day bed from the master suite to either of the other rooms, find a decorator to update the cabin. I could go on. I was personally not satisfied with my stay, however, my experience is my own. I'm not a fan of spider/cob webs and dust...if I'm paying that amount for a few days, I expect the home to be as clean as my own. I saw zero neighbors until the very last day of my stay where as the same person walked back and forth watching my family and myself loading our car. Just because you own a home doesn't mean you can become a host. Please look into ways to make a home comfortable for nuetral families. This review isn't intended as bad but hopefully will help improve this home and anyone else that visits will know what to expect.

Thank you for the feedback. I want to answer your concerns.
Re Internet: When you checked in, you reached out to me worried that the internet was satellite and would be interrupted by the rain. I let you know that we did use a Dish interface, but that we have Spectrum fiber internet so you would be able to stream during the rainy weather. I did not receive any further communication so was unable to address your other concerns. If the internet was bad, we were not notified and had not opportunity to address the problem. At the time you reported your concern about the internet, I sent you a list of local indoor activities for families with children in case an outage out of our control occured.
Re Cleaning and Linens: I'm confused about your statement regarding new linens. Samanthia (my housekeeper) told me that the beds weren't even slept in. (The light blankets covering the beds were just purchased in April and are brand new.) She stripped them anyway as is our policy after each guest but she had to wash everything as it appears that the beds were slept on top of the blankets. The sheets were clean when you checked in. It also appears that you were able to use all the towels that were set out. Samanthia set out 8 sets of towels, wash cloths and hand towels. She also stated that it appears that you used the clean basket of towels she had as a back up in the basement workroom. So, it appears that there were plenty of towels.
Re cleanliness: I would like more detail about what was not clean. The cabin was deep cleaned last month and the beams are dusted in between guests. There is one beam that requires a ladder to reach and that may need to be swept. I will take care of that.
Re neighbors: Most of our guests like not seeing the neighbors. Being located near a lake and national forest means that many neighbors are weekenders or short term renters like yourself. Regarding the neighbor walking up and down the street: Folks sometimes do that. I appreciate how folks watch our home as they have in the past let us know when someone has thrown an unauthorized party or there have been packages left at the cabin.
Re Neutral Families: I'm not sure what you mean by neutral families, so cannot address this comment.
Re Moving the day bed: Thank you for your suggestion. This is the first time in ten years that someone has complained about the location of the daybed. We will take it under consideration.
If you had raised issues during your stay, Samanthia would have come out and addressed it immediately. As it stands, you didn't give us a chance to remedy things.
My family (2 adults, 4 kids). Stayed here while visiting family in the area. The cabin was perfect for us. Stephen went out of his way to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed.

Absolutely incredible!!!
The place was clean! Beautiful views of lake Keowee, plenty on places to sleep! Even had 2 garages! The owners did a great job! Best VRBO find yet!
This property is located in a nice location near a lake. Very quiet and peaceful. The cabin itself is similar to the others within the area. This individual cabin needs maintenance. It was dirty. The kitchen table still had sticky substance and crumbs on it. The rugs and the cabin had not been vacuumed for some time, or were not clean.

The property was well located for a Clemson game stay. It doesn't have the best layout on the main floor for a group as it really only seats two people in the comfortable chairs and the TV is small. The downstairs has a larger hangout space, but we could never get the TV system to work, and it was much colder. Overall, it was a good place to stay but could have been more comfortable for a group. Parking was also a little tricky since you couldn't block the driveway next door.

Beautiful cabin.
We stayed in this beautiful cabin for a week. It was small, but the layout made it seem spacious. The loft bedroom was very comfortable. The downstairs bedrooms were very nice, but it got very hot in them in the middle of the night. There was a game room downstairs with a large TV, several games and some DVDs to choose from. We were also able to access WiFi. The upstairs had a fireplace, dining area and very nice kitchen. We used the screened in porch and the other porch with the gas grill. Overall, we had a great vacation and would stay in this cabin again.
Our stay was around when Helene Hurricane came through, Sept 27, 2024. The power was out so the cleaning person wasn't able to finish their task prior to our check in. However, there were clean linens and towels in the basement next to the washing machine. We also had trash bags, clean dishes and running water but no power. The cabin was nicely located in Seneca which wasn't far from the university. The cabin was also easy to find.

Our stay.
Beautiful cabin. Very dusty and many cobwebs. The steaks knives need to be replaced as they were falling apart. Coffee maker is OLD and leaked from the bottom. Pet hair all over furniture. I could tell people who stayed before had a child bc milk splatter on benches and a sippycup with old milk was in a drawer. To top it off we were supposed to remove the linens from beds and i had slept in an big old pee spot. The matress in the master didnt have a mattress cover! Update some things and clean or get new things. Beautiful place, but not walkable to lake. I may have misread the listing, its 10 mins to direct access to the lake.

Clemson Graduation Weekend
The house was filthy. The coffee maker was full of mold. There were dead cockroaches on the floor. There was hair everywhere. The fitted sheet for one of the bunk beds didn't fit. Overall, very disappointing!
Owners were in general quick to respond. The oven and range are substandard. Sleepless nights due to cabin creaking. Numerous cockroaches. Extremely small shower. Kitchen too small for a long term rental. Living room furniture needs to be replaced.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While the weather was not in our favor, we enjoyed every minute during our stay. We enjoyed many hours of family time playing cards, board games or just relaxing. Very quiet and tranquil surroundings. Best part…we were able to bring along our 4-legged friends. We would definitely book again!!
As City folk, it was weird at first how dark and quiet this home was at night but everyone should experience this kind of calm. The owners are fantastic and everyone was so friendly in the neighborhood. I definitely recommend this place.
The cabin is very cute and cozy. But the downstairs shower did not work (had to use bath only) the coffee maker didn’t work, beds were not made so we had to make them when we got there. Also had issues with washing machine. It is in a great location and we’d like to stay there again! Hopefully issues will be fixed for the next guests!
Great cabin that had all we needed and the perfect location for the boating we were doing. Owners were very responsive and easy to work with. Will definitely be coming back!
The location of this property was great, but we had a few issues. First of all, the screened in porch was covered in dead bees. Also, the house could really use a deep cleaning. There was dog hair and heavy amounts of dust around the furniture and corners. The dishes in the dishwasher were dirty upon our arrival. Overgrown plants covered the walkway and a few of the outdoor steps felt like they were rotting. Overall, we enjoyed the area, but we would stay in a different property.
I have stayed here twice in past 2 years while in Clemson for games or other events. Close to campus, quiet, and sleeps 6 comfortably. Owner had prompt communication, accurate listing, and easy-to-follow expectations and directions. Would definitely stay again when visiting Clemson!
