About this property
Laurel View Lodge is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath log home, beautiful view, game room, hot tub, pet friend...
Laurel View Lodge is located in Horseshoe Cove above the Maggie Valley Country Club, to enjoy privacy & luxury. This beautiful 3 story log home is 2,100 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms and 3 full-baths with a loft. Great for multi-families, this vacation home features a bedroom & bathroom on each of the three levels, and sleeps 10. You will be kept comfortable with a King and pull out Queen sofa bed on the second level, a Queen on the first level, a Bunk Bed (twin over a full) and a full sized futon on the lower level. The private bath on the lower level just outside the bunk room features a jet tub bath. Set up for fun, the converted garage / game room offers a pool table, foose ball table and dartboard. After a long day of fun, head out to the deck and enjoy the hot tub and use the bar-b-q grill to cook up your favorite meal. Internet is available at this home to make your down time in the Smoky Mountains more enjoyable.
This vacation rental home is less than a 20 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum, as featured on History Channel's "American Pickers"), horseback riding and several golf courses. In nearly the same amount of time, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy boutique and souvenir shopping, dining and sightseeing.
Within a 30 minute drive you could be on the Blue Ridge Parkway exploring vast and beautiful mountain overlooks. Within 30-35 minutes you could be in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Harrah's Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's Casino has some of the best restaurants around).
Just a little further from Maggie Valley just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway running railway tours most of the year and "Polar Express" is a featured railway tour during the Christmas Holidays). Within a short drive outside of town is also Pisgah National Forest, additional golf course options, and much more.
A little more than 40 minutes away, you'll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate and Winery, several micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 20 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 antique shops.
Approximately 50 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and tap room), gem mining white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are 1 hour and 25 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood). Only 2 hours away you can venture into Wear's Valley, Townsend in the Pigeon Forge area and explore Cades Cove Loop, an 11 mile natural drive through tour of historic cabins, churches, waterfalls, hiking trails or just stay in the car taking several road options and view bears, turkeys, deer, elk and other wildlife from a distance.
Approach and access to this home is paved, moderately steep and will require AWD/4-wheel drive in the Winter months, as the driveway is short and steep and ice may be an issue. This property is not recommended for motorcycle access.
*This is a dog friendly property, maximum 1 medium or 2 small dogs. Please contact the Property Manager at Maggie Mountain Vacations as there will be an additional non-refundable pet fee, not included in the base rent. We’ll need to know breed, weight and number of pets you will be bringing, during your stay, some restrictions apply. Exterior security cameras are on premise.
