Recently remodeled & refurbished by the new owners, this is one of the nicest places to enjoy your beach vacation with its comfortable relaxing seating and luxurious bedding! Uniquely situated right on Mission Bay, this extra large one level penthouse takes advantage of indoor/outdoor living with its panoramic views of Mission Bay & Mission Bay Park. Encompassing the entire 3rd floor of the building, complete with its own private elevator, this home is a favorite among the locals with its unique northeasterly orientation to maximize views and wrap around deck. 10 ft. ceilings and a great floor plan add to the perfect orientation to be able to enjoy views from most every room. Enjoy cooking in the upgraded kitchen with its stainless steel dual convection oven & ceramic cook top. Constructed on a larger than normal corner lot, its total square footage is approx 20% more than what is typically found in comparable penthouses. The complex is also situated at an angle which tends to maximize a wide open view of the bay from the living room, dining room, kitchen, as well as both front and rear master bedrooms that have their own separate balconies with view. This home is beautifully furnished with comfortable yet upscale furnishings. The host was readily accessible and responsive for the few questions we had. Amenities were as advertised and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need including a condiments, tea, pots and pans, plates, glasses, etc. everything was in working order except the freezer part of the refrigerator, however there was a freezer in the garage that was available.
Really enjoyed our stay. Location was great, beach and restaurants within quick walking distance. Balcony was great to sit out on. Was a quiet and safe neighborhood.
Great location on the bay side. Wonderful upper deck to enjoy the views. Close to everything but also far enough away that its quiet. House was in good condition and we experienced only minimal issues and were in communication with the PM. Parking is a challenge but we fit 2 SUVs in the garage. We would definitely stay here again.
Fabulous location. Mission bay beach at your door step, Pacific ocean just a brief walk through gorgeous flowered gardens of your neighbors. Fully equipped luxurious penthouse with great views and wonderful breezes. Loved it all.

We stayed here for 9 days. It was everything it seems to be in the listing. Clean, comfortable, had everything you could need for a beach vacation. Loved it!
Beautiful condo in a great location. Wonderful for small kids to be able to play in the bay. We were able to watch the fireworks from Sea World from the balcony every night. Close to lots of restuarants and store. The ocean is very close if you want waves. Able to rent Kayaks and paddle boats just a short walk away. Nice BBQ on balcony, which we used quite a bit. Parking is a challenge. We barely were able to fit our SUV and a small car, but that is a problem in the whole area.No place for any other cars. Overall a great time!
This luxurious penthouse condo was everything! The views were spectacular! A perfect location, close to Belmont park. Minutes away from the beach. When I go back to San Diego, I will book this place again!

This condo work great for the 6 of us…Grandparents, Parents and 2 grandchildren.
Choose the bayside so it would be a little more quiet and private. The view was fantastic and really enjoyed the location.
The host was very responsive, the house has great views and lots of space. It does need some TLC as it is starting to age a bit. But with one beach right out the door and another just a quick walk away, it’s hard to complain. We had a fun week in Mission Bay!
This home was in the perfect location. Close to Belmont and the ocean but on the quiet side of the bay. It was perfect for our grandson to play in the water and we could relax on the sand. Enjoyed paddle boarding, biking on the boardwalk with provided bikes . The unit had everything we needed in the kitchen and has a roomy comfortable family room and bedrooms. We will definitely stay again next time we go.
We had family fly in from various states in the US. We wanted to have enough room and amenities for the week. The penthouse was great and everything we hoped for. On the bay with a 5 minute walk to the ocean, restaurants and shopping. Was awesome
We loved the property. The house is well maintained, had plenty of towels and blankets, and cooking utensils. We were very comfortable. Loved that it had A/C and we got good use out of the beach cruisers. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.
Pros:
-Right on the bay as advertised with close proximity (2 min walk) to the ocean.
-Property manager was friendly and responsive. She allowed us early access that we greatly appreciated.
-We enjoyed the expansive bay views from most areas of the house.
-We had everything we needed except filtered water. The prop manager said she’d reimburse us for the cost of buying water. We enjoyed the beach supplies, keurig machine, and all kitchen supplies.
Cons:
-There were ants in the two back bedrooms and a few in the kitchen.
-There are areas of the home that are dated, specifically bathrooms and carpet in the bedrooms.
-This area is mostly composed of vacation homes with lots of rental options.
Overall we had a fun stay!
The property is exact to pictures - BEAUTIFUL! Tastefully decorated. Comfy beds. Comfy couches. Lux linen and towels. We’ll stocked kitchen included with every spice you may need. The property Manager Rebecca is a dream! Felt like a friend. We needed assistance turning on the fireplace and she was there immediately with amazing maintenance worker Hugo! Rebecca even lent us a table for remote working during our stay. Bikes and beach equipment were a great bonus! Narrow garage - we could have kept the Audi Q7 but we exchanged for smaller SUV and had ample space. My husband, myself and 87 yr old Mother loved breakfast on balcony each morning and watching reflections on the bay at night. THANKYOU Rebecca for making the experience even better! We can’t wait to return!

Owner Values Profit over Human Decency
I will start by saying this was our second time renting this condo and it will certainly be our last. Due to the November 2020 spike in COVID cases, California imposed a more strict stay-at-home order that included a curfew as well as a recommendation to avoid unnecessary leisure travel. These heighted restrictions went into place less than a month before my family and I were scheduled to rent this VRBO. Given these new restrictions and CDC guidance not to travel, we politely asked Rebecca (the Property Manager) if we could cancel our rental out of a concern for my parents flying to California and being out in public. Rebecca replied: “Unfortunately, [the owners] are counting on this income to pay for their expenses this month. They recently redid their patios as well as new sliders. The place looks beautiful. However, you need to do what you are comfortable doing.” Disappointing in light of a global pandemic, but we thought perhaps the owners are reasonable people and would give us a credit toward a future stay if we cancelled. However, we were told they would give no credit, not even partial. We completely understand the need to cover expenses, especially when many income properties suffered during these times, but to not even offer future credit was extremely disappointing and disconcerting. Further, it was insulting for Rebecca to encourage us "do what [we were] comfortable with" yet at the same time offer us zero flexibility. Long story short: we would only recommend this property to those looking to rent from greedy income property owners who value their new sliding doors more than human decency.

Thank you for the review. I appreciate feedback & even though it is not the best review I have received; I do feel that guest feedback is valuable. I also feel it is important to focus on your guest experience with the property & as well as the experience you have had with myself as the property manager for this property since I take full responsibility for communication & actions taken regarding your stay. When Covid 19 hit earlier in the year, we were all effected & followed CDC guidelines as well as VRBO’s guidance. We are continuing to learn how to best navigate through this in hopes that our guests can continue to enjoy our beautiful beaches and make decisions about traveling. VRBO has communicated to me that are continuing to alert guests about COVID 19 & clarify the property’s cancelation policy before payment is made. I would like to remind you that I did offer you a solution for a last-minute cancellation if you chose to cancel outside the cancelation policy. However, you did not respond to that & did not cancel. I assumed you were looking forward to coming as you had said earlier. You seemed happy when you arrived and thankful for the late checkout upon your departure day. I was surprised by your comments, so I feel it is important to clarify what was said & so not to be taken out of context. Below is the pertinent email communication that we had from when you first booked till your arrival.
“Hi Rebecca, my family and I would love to rent your place again. We absolutely loved it last year and look forward to hopefully renting again this year! “
“I am so glad that you went ahead and booked since I apologize for my delay with getting back to you. Once we know a little more what the protocol will be in November, I will send you your access info and relevant paperwork.”
“Given the recent increase in COVID cases throughout the country as well as the new guidelines that came out from Governor Newsom today regarding travel into and out of CA, we'd like to know what our options are in terms of canceling this reservation. We have not yet made a final decision but would like to know what the current cancelation/refund policy is for this rental. Obviously we would love to spend Thanksgiving in Mission Beach again but we are trying to mitigate risk as well. I look forward to hearing back and thank you in advance.”
“Below is the current cancelation policy for this property: Travelers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund. Please let me know what you decide to do. You should do what makes you the most comfortable. “
“Rebecca, Thank you. Would the property owner consider a credit towards a future stay?”

“Hi Rebecca, We understand the need to account for expenses but we aren’t asking for a refund, we are asking for a credit towards future use. Is that not possible? I’m sorry for the back and forth but with the recent spike in cases and the new travel advisories from the State of CA, I’m trying make the best decision and feel stuck between a rock and a hard place with the lack of flexibility from the owners. If they’d consider offering us a credit (not a refund), we’d greatly appreciate that.”
“If you cancel and we are able to rebook for the same timeframe, we can give you a discount towards a future stay. I hope that answers your question. I know it’s a tough time for us all and we are happy to try to work something out.”
When I did not receive any further communication from you, I assumed you had no interest in canceling & access info was sent. You acknowledged receipt and let me know you made it in fine. You asked for a late checkout which I was happy to give to you and you thanked me for being accommodating. I hope to reach out and talk to you privately so we can discuss further. I do hope you will reconsider returning & I will continue to do all I can to give our guests the best experience possible!

So many benefits and hard to find amenities! Panoramic views of the bay, large wrap around bay front deck, Mission Bay views from most all living spaces, cool ocean breezes, easy access with elevator, AC & fireplace, large living area and 2 Bay front view bedrooms all encompass this lovely home! Its not your typical rental. The owners use this as their 2nd home so it is very inviting with comfortable seating and luxurious bedding and bath decor.
