We could not have been any more pleased with this clean, beautiful, spacious home. It was beautiful and the way the home was decorated and the artwork were all so impressive. My favorite times of the day there were morning and evening (we were usually gone all day!) drinking my coffee on the chaise lounge on the pool patio and the 3 of us sitting with our legs in the pool sipping on margaritas. Alberto took care of our every need and Mark was so helpful, informative and kind! I highly recommend staying in this home if your are visiting Merida!

Casa Roja

Casa Roja is a spacious and well appointed home located near the city center. We walked everywhere and used a rental car for a few trips outside the city. The wading pool and garden area was a wonderful add on! Parking was convenient as well. Both the host and property manager were very responsive and helpful.

Our stay at Casa Roja

This is a very nice property in the center of Merida. It’s a nice blend of old world colonial charm and new world comfort and convenience . the best restaurant street in Merida is only 1block away and there are at least 5+ really good restaurants there. Walking to the gran plazza ( center of town) is 15-20 min and easy during the day. Mark the owner is super responsive and has lots of recommendations for activities. Alberto is the local property manager he is very nice and very responsive but only speaks Spanish so brush up on how to use google translate. I did a lot of research before booking and I would highly recommend this property

Best of the Best!

Words can’t even begin to describe our level of contentment with the whole experience. Booking was a cinch- Mark was very helpful answering my questions! Alberto checked us in and he was very easy to coordinate with. The house was incredible. We stayed with some family from the US (Merida natives) and this property played a huge role in the success of the family event. We all had our own bathrooms, big bedrooms with AC, dining area inside and out, and of course- the pool!! The water was filtered, the location was perfect, everyone was happy. I cannot wait to come back!

Property is well located with quick access to historic points, parks, restaurants, etc. In addition, the property is very comfortable with all amenities, big rooms, pool, etc.

Amazing property and location!

This was our first trip to Mexico, and I'm so glad we chose Merida/Yucatan and this property! Mark was such a great help with all kinds of information about the house and other info about Merida...he made a rental car recommendation, and they were also amazing (Temco Rental Cars). Alberto, our contact while in Merida, was also so responsive and helpful during our stay. The house is like living in a piece of history, beautiful, comfortable and the location is just blocks from Paseo de Montejo, amazing shops and restaurants, etc. If I was planning another trip to Merida, my first choice would be to stay here again. We were able to walk everywhere in the Centro area we wanted to see, and take day trips in our rental car (and park right out front of the house). I really cannot say enough good about the experience. Many thanks to Mark and our Merida host, Alberto!

Our stay at Casa Roja

We were looking for a place for a family vacation and Casa Roja was more than hoped for. The house is beautiful and three bedrooms and three bathrooms made for a very comfortable stay for everyone! the location was great for walking all around the city and despite street traffic the house was quiet and relaxing, especially in the back where we spent time when we were at the house. It was great to have the kitchen so we did not have to eat out every meal. Although there was a bit of a language barrier with the property manager, Alberto, thanks to google, we were able to communicate and he was a most gracious host! Thank you Mark for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Lovely stay at Casa Roja

We stayed at Casa Rosa for 6 weeks. Great colonial house with 20’ ceilings. Great pool (most in Mérida are oversized tubs). Great location, within walking distance of many restaurants, activities and the fabulous Lucas de Galvez market. Alberto the property manager is very responsive and helpful.

Cannot fault anything. Generous with water, soaps, codmetics etc. The welcome gifts of wine and a vast array of fruits was extremely generous. We arrived before the appointed check in time and every effort was made to accommodate us. Communication with the owners and managers of the house was excellent. Nothing to fault. The price was a little higher than we normally pay in Merida, but well worth it. Would definitely return to Casa Roja in the future. A big thank you for having us.
