We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights. Proximity to Killington was perfect. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub was just what we needed after a day of skiing. We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed for 4 nights. The owners allowed us to bring our two dogs, which was so awesome! The house is a short drive from the mountains and pretty much anything you want to eat. They made great use of all the spaces and bedrooms making it so large groups can stay. The hot tub was used every night by the skiers when they came back to the house. Owners supplied towels which was a nice treat. Kitchen is well stocked. If you’re looking for a conviently located place to Killington this is your place !
I cannot say enough about this property and the owners! We had an amazing time with room for everyone, including our dog Nugget. They checked to make sure we arrived, explicit instructions, made sure we had everything we needed, and it was warm upon arrival, and of course the snow we had was amazing and allowed the kids to sled and build snowmen. The hot tub was just what the doctor ordered for tired muscles after long days of skiing. The location is perfect for either Killington or Pico. We definitely recommend and will book again!

Thanks for the lovely review- we truly appreciate it. And we’re so glad you had a great time and sent the pics!
We really enjoyed the house and the location was good relative to the mountain and restaurants. The bedroom furniture and beds were nice. The living room and dining room furniture was a little dated but still comfortable. The kitchen was sell stocked.
A group of us stayed in Marlene and Jim's home for a long ski weekend and it was great. There is ample room for spreading out with a larger group, an updated kitchen, and the driveway was plowed and salted during our stay. From the hot tub, to the selection of games, and supply of fire wood, this house was a great find and we would absolutely stay again.

Great house for a ski weekend
Great place! In a great location close to the ski mountain. And the living room was very nice and the kitchen was very spacious. Also the beds were very comfy and everyone slept very well. Only issue was the water had a sulfurous smell and the bathrooms were outdated.

Great ski house
We stayed for a ski trip with a group of friends recently from Fri-Sun. The house had plenty of room, was in great condition, and had a hot tub which was a great touch. The location was a close drive to the mountain, and also was within the radius for the "Barrel Rider" shuttle to pick us up for going out at night. The owners were very accessible and helpful throughout the process, and reached out at the beginning of our stay to make sure there was nothing we needed and that all was well with the house, which was much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house for large weekend gatherings.
Had a pleasant rental process with the owners who were quick to answer all my questions. The house has a great common area on the first floor that can accommodate all of the guests. Bedrooms aren't crowded, and there are sufficient bathrooms to allow quick mornings prior to skiing. Kitchen is very well stocked.

Great property, lovely hosts
We had a group of 8 and the home was definitely a great place to accommodate our bunch. The amenities were as described and the hot tub, fantastic. The owners of the property were able to be flexible with arrival time and departure time, which was appreciated. The home is located about 1.5 miles from the main Killington resort and about 8 miles from the back entrance Gondola (a nice plus if you have equipment). we will be back. Thanks again, guys!

Highly Recommend
My group of 10 had a great visit and no issues what so ever during our stay. The house had plenty of room for our big group (including plenty of extra room for additional guest if you have a bigger party), a great game selection in their updated game room (bottom floor) and great hot tub perfect for after the slopes.
I would highly recommend staying at this house. On top of the location and house being perfect, Marlene and Jim made the whole process extremely easy and very welcoming. They always had a rapid response whether through email, text or phone, even though I did not have to contact once with any complaints.

Nice spacious home in the heart of Killington!!
Our stay at Jim and Marlene's house was fantastic. It is exactly how it is described in the details of the house and got everything we were told. This house is great for a big family or group to stay in and enjoy the wonders of Killington, Vermont. The house is a 3 minute drive to Killington Access road where you will find many restaurants, bars, and fun for the children. The drive to the base of Killington mountain is approximately 8 minutes from Jim's house - Can't beat it. The house itself was very well kept and spacious. I loved the fireplace in the living room where they stock you with plenty of wood. There are 5 bedrooms with many beds for people to sleep comfortably and also three full bathrooms with showers which was great. The basement is completely finished with a big comfortable couch and huge tv. We also were able to enjoy the hot tub on the back deck that can fit a good amount of people. I would definitely recommend this house to a big group looking to ski or just get away for a week and I will be coming back soon.

Beautiful
What a great place to stay! We had a wonderful time. Everything was explained perfectly ahead of time and there were no complications once we arrived. Condidtions were beautiful and the house is just a short drive to the mountain. The house itself is great, the entrway downstairs is perfect for all our gear. All the bedrooms were super comfortable and spacious, with no bunk beds like so many ski houses (we can not deal with bunk beds after a night at the Pickle Barrel). There was a group of 11 of us and it was very spacious, we could have comfortably fit more. We had a ton of fun, skied during the day and spent the nights at the Pickle Barrel (the house is within the Pickle Rider's pick up radius, HUGE plus!). My only complaint is that we should have stayed longer! Marlene and Jim were very accomodating with a last minute date change, so greatful for that. We will definitly be coming back, but next time we'll have to stay longer.

Great place not far from the mt. with a lot to do!
Awesome house! We got in on friday afternoon and left sunday. It is perfect for a weekend getaway. Plenty of beds/bedrooms to accommodate larger groups. Between the multiple tv's, premium cable, a vast collection of Disney classics on VHS, hot tub and endless board games you will never be bored in this house. It is about a 5 minute drive to the main ski area so not far at all. Every member of your group will have fun whether they like skiing or just sitting at home by the fire reading a book.
We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Weekend Getaway
Jim and Marlene have a beautiful home that is kept extremely clean. When we stepped inside the house, and unloaded our stuff, we received a phone call from Jim and Marlene asking if we had any questions or concerns. I thought this was a very generous of them to reach out to us to make sure we were comfortable and had no questions.
There is plenty of space in the house, and if you follow the instructions provided to you by Jim and Marlene, you can make the house very warm and cozy. They had plenty of games available downstairs for us to play (I fell in love in Jenga).
We chose this house specifically for its location to Killington slopes, and it was the best choice we ever made. The house is only a 10 minute drive away from the slopes so after a long and exhausting day at the slopes, you can definitely get home fast to relax and spend the rest of the day inside.
I will definitely recommend anyone who is looking to getaway to Killington slopes to reach out to Jim and Marlene. Their house is perfect for a getaway. We enjoy ourselves a lot, and definitely looking forward to coming back soon!

About the host
Hosted by Marlene or Jim Hardy
I bought this house to share with all my friends who all skied together. Now, we are all married with small kids, so only get to use it occasionally.
Why they chose this property
Of all the ski resorts on the East coast, there is always snow at Killington.
