LAKE retreat! Private lake w/all comforts of home! Close to KC!

Amazing lake retreat! Private 6 acre lake with large dock! Gazebos on pool deck overlooking the lake for your morning coffee or night enjoyment. Hot tub moved to pool deck so it's now overlooking the lake (hot tub subject to availability, inquire prior to booking). Good size one level house can accommodate large parties and is handicap accessible. Perfect getaway with all the comforts of home (wifi, cable tv, central heat/air, water softener, big screen tvs) so the family can stay inside and comfy while the rest enjoy the outdoors. Fully remodeled and ready to accommodate your family's perfect getaway. Plenty of parking (circle drive). Fully stocked kitchen has 2 ovens and everything you need to cook a great meal. Kayaks (2), Paddle boat (1) can be rented if requested. The fishing is great off the dock but we also have an old pontoon boat available for rent cheap. There are walking trails around the lake, but they are not maintained, this is a large acreage property so nature takes over really quick at times. There is currently 2 other units in other side of lake that share the docks and pool if they are rented on your dates. So far for the 2024 season they are long term occupants that don't come over when main house is rented. Please check before you book if this is important to you. Base price per night is for up to 4 people. Each additional guest over 4th person is $15 per night up to a max of 10 people in the house. We do have a nice, clean 31' RV we can park at the campsite next door with advance notice to accommodate 4 additional guests to make the max for this property 14. RV has heat, air, kitchen, hot water, bath room and separate hot shower and a slide out. The other side of the lake will soon have it's own dock but be aware the entire lake will not be always be completely to yourself. Property works great for a quiet place to stay while in town for Chiefs game or to visit KC area. Stadiums and downtown area are about a 45 minute drive. 30 Min drive to Lees Summit and 20 min drive to Warrensburg. 5 miles to town of Holden which has the basics, grocery store, bait shop, Dollar General, Orschlen , a small hardware store and a few restaurants and gas stations. People have expressed how much they enjoy the quiet and nature sounds. It's a great bargain for large parties. Last minute deals might be available! Don't be afraid to ask!

A truly wonderful place to stay

We had a wonderful time staying at this home for the weekend. They have really thought of everything: hot tub, pool with lots of pool toys, the dock & pontoon on the lake, and everything else you’ll need. They even provided sunscreen, which I thought was a nice touch. We can’t wait until we visit again.

We so enjoyed staying 5 cozy evenings in this lovely home in February. We are so Thankful for everything Lisa did to get us into this place. I had looked for place's to stay in the area. They were unavailable. A big plus was this home was just a hop skip and a jump from our Daughter and Son in laws home. The home was warm and comfortable. We even enjoyed the pellet fireplace. I was early to rise 5am to watch the sunrise over the little lake. Absolutely BEE-U-T-FULL. Thanks Lisa for the effort you put into making this trip a Great one. Amazing stay

Our family had the best time staying at this property! Lisa is a wonderful host that goes above and beyond in making sure you have everything you need. The house is clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time outdoors, swimming and fishing. There's so much space to explore outdoors. You can hang out by the pool, on one of the docks or kayaks, or walk the trails on the grounds. If you're looking for a place to relax and have fun, book this place. We can't wait to come back!

Close to Home Getaway!

This was a fantastic break from the hustle and bustle of real life. I loved how close it was to the KC metro area. The proximity made it the perfect getaway for all of our family to meet up and spend some time together. The fishing was great. If you have younger kids in your party, they will love pulling bass out of the little lake one right after the other. The pool was a wonderful place just to kick back and relax. The house was exceptionally clean and our hosts were very accommodating and quick to answer any questions. I highly recommend this rental!

Lovely house with well-maintained pool and hot tub. Very comfortable. A/C struggled a tiny bit but not enough to be an issue. Enjoyed fishing in the lake from the dock, and kayaking. Great communication and service from the property managers. Some stocked items (bottled water, hard seltzers, beer, coffee, etc.) were much appreciated. Looking forward to a future return stay!

Need to be clear the lake is not for swimming. Boat motor only lasted an hour. Was trash left in the outside of the property. Otherwise comunication was good and inside of the house was clean.

Great Lake House

Enjoyed some down time around the pool, sitting on the front porch and fishing at the lake dock. We had our grandchildren during the day and they loved it. We could have enjoyed even more if we had stayed longer (stayed 5 days). Great TV room that we didn't use and a hot tub available. The inside of the house has been remodeled and we could have cooked, or grilled but just chose to have pizza. The most notable part of the visit was the effort the landlord put into timely responses and the effort to help us enjoy our stay. We had a few odd requests and she helped us make it a great experience. I thank her for those special things.

Wonderful Lakeside Retreat

This property was exactly what we were looking for! Spent 4 days fishing, lounging in the pool, and just relaxing. We really came here to fish and spent a lot of time on the lake. We definitely recommend renting the boat. The hosts are gracious and went out of there way to make sure we had anything we needed! Can't wait to stay again!

It's very important that all our guests have a great experience and want to return and refer friends.

Why they chose this property

This property is very accommodating to larger groups as the house is separated in the middle by the living room. Master is on the south side off the kitchen and has it's own exterior door, and the other two bedrooms and bath are on the north side of the house.
We have upgraded all the inferior aspects of this home ( and that was a LOT - big water heater, water softener, new HVAC, bath tub, fixtures, appliances) and now it's super comfy and enjoyable while still at a great price.

What makes this property unique

Want to have a bonfire? Shoot your gun? Go on a trail ride? You have come to the right spot. We are in the country and want you to enjoy the outdoors. We of course want you safe so any fires outside of the ring we provide or shooting you want to do need to be set up with us in advance.
