Lakefront Getaway on Private Lake! 30 min from Lees Summit

Need a getaway without a long drive or high cost? Come enjoy this lake front escape on our private 6 acre lake! Peaceful and quiet but not remote or difficult to get to. This place still has work to be done on the outside so if you care about the outer appearance, wait til next summer to book this one. Recently moved from other side of lake for more guest privacy and amazing views! Woods on one side, lake on other. Swimming pool is 18x33 and open approx Memorial Dal to Oct. Pics of outdoor pool recently added. Hot tub is also now open for additional charge and needs a reservation. The pool, docks (there are 2) , hot tub are all shared areas. We can't commit one unit to have complete access but we've never had an issue, plenty of room. If you need a break at a low cost - this is the one. The pictures will sum it up for you. Yes it's a mobile home but it's been fully gutted and redone from top to bottom, you name it, it got done. Fish to your hearts content off the docks, relax in the gazebo overlooking the water. Bring your lawn chair and come sit lakeside and fish, do a campfire, cookout etc. Launch Paddle boat/kayak /walking/riding trails. Even horses are available with advance notice. You can bring your pets but message and gain approval first. Gravel Parking for 2 or there's plenty of extra parking available. This unit is not suitable for children under 10 - please request prior approval for children under 10. Please message for pet approval prior to booking. Please do not book if you are expecting the entire property to yourself. Three houses share the dock, gazebo and pool. We do stay in the property the pool is attached to and that is also a short term rental. So we may be there to maintain pool, etc but we aren't going to bother you or be on the dock or at the pool with you but if the main house is rented, other guests will be present. We want you to be HAPPY and have an awesome time! Please let us know your plans so we can make sure it's what you are looking for, and also make special accommodations for you if we can. Communication is VERY important so we can be sure to meet your needs.

If your looking for the Ritz Carlton this is not for you. But if your looking for a clean ,peaceful,quiet place to get away relax and fish I recommend this place. The owners r very nice and helpful. The hot tub was excellent. The outside sitting area was great and the inside had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and everything was nice and clean.

Peaceful weekend at the lake

I was looking for a place to get out of town for a few days but not go too far from Kansas City. This place has plenty of activities to keep guests entertained but it's also simple enough to have a relaxing getaway. I really liked taking the kayaks out on the private lake and watching the horses graze. We literally had the lake to ourselves the entire time. If we got warm, we'd hop in the pristine pool to cool off. At night we took advantage of a fire pit and firewood provided. Mostly we just sat outside and took in the view. The photos really don't do it justice. It's a very natural landscape that is full of big trees and wildflowers. There's some cluttered materials around the outside of the property and we had to clean off a few things before using them, but owners are planning on rearranging the property so I am anxious to see how that turns out. The inside was very clean. I'll be keeping this place saved for another visit for sure. I really don't think there are too many other places that offer this unique, secluded experience just outside the city.

this place was close to family i was visiting, we loved the nature, and just sitting my the lake, we were in and out alot visiting other family members in the state so we didnt spend alot of time there during the day, we did have a great time in the pool one day, the only thing i can say bad about it was, it was close to the owners home, the inside was very clean, with everything you need inside, the outside wasnt, that great, but it was understandable as they plan on moving the trailer to a different place on the property,

Perfect relaxing visit

Beautiful setting overlooking private lake. Convenient location to highway but hidden away down short all weather lane. We slept great in the comfy bed. Decor was tasteful & creative. Furniture comfortable & plenty of seating options. Older mobile home, but everything was refreshed as advertised. Kitchen well equipped for the meal prep we wanted to do & we were able to easily get permission to host family member for evening dinners & visiting. Host very helpful seeing that we had everything we needed & answered questions in timely manner. Hope to stay again! There are steps to get into the door..

A very nice place to stay. Having the lake and the boat was fantastic after a long day in training. The local grocery store is easy to find and for BBQ visit Jacks Stack!

Loved this place. Private lake. pool. Jacuzzi. kayaks etc. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation and no one around to bother you, The owner was there when you needed them and gone when you didn't. Don't pass this one up.

Last minute get away

This property was perfect for our weekend. I wish the weather would of been better, but we got some fishing in between t-storms. I think we got at least one of each kind. The decor is cute and I can't wait to see the finished projects on the outside. The town of Holden has charm and some interesting history. The property host were very nice and friendly. We look forward to going back.

The owner is an amazing host with being helpful, kind, and considerate , willing ta help you enjoy your stay and was able to answer any and all questions and concerns we had, it's a nice peaceful yet fun get away that I desperately needed , if I get the chance I'm going back and it's only like 5 min. ta town for anything you need you'll find there . Lisa goes out of her way to make your stay great!

If you are looking for a little get-away to recharge this is a great place. We swam in the above ground pool, ate on the deck, fished from the pontoon boat (and caught and released a LOT!), and tooled around in the kayaks. It was nice to have the whole property to ourselves and relax. The beds were comfortable and kitchen had what we needed. The owner genuinely wants guests to have a great experience. Two thumbs up!

Highly recommend! Everything was exactly what we wanted. The trailer was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. The memory foam on the bed was so comfortable and I LOVED that they provided several different types of pillows so you can pick what you like best. I look forward to coming down to stay again.

Nicely remodeled trailer

My husband and I were looking for privacy as we were traveling and needed to social distance. We were happy with the newly remodeled trailer as it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The property itself is a little rough/messy due to outdoor improvements being done by the owners (new swimming pool, etc). This didn’t concern us because we enjoyed fishing in the lake, reading, and site seeing. My dog was happy too because she had some freedom to roam & explore. We enjoyed meeting the owners, who were always helpful when we needed something, and appreciated that we were given our privacy.

The host was extremely accommodating. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The place is the perfect peaceful getaway with fishing, kayaking, and paddle boating. My teenage son had a blast. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be renting here again!

RELAXING

WE WANTED PEACE AND RELAXING VACATION, THAT'S WHAT WE GOT. VERY QUIET, CLEAN PRIVATE. WATCHING THE LAKE WATER WAS CALMING. OUR TEA CUP CHIHUAHUA ENJOYED HER TIME ALSO. LISA WAS GREAT. SO NICE AND FRIENDLY. SHE REALLY CARES ABOUT HER RENTERS AND DOES ALL SHE CAN TO MAKE SURE THEY ENJOY THEIR TIME THERE. WE ARE THINKING OF GOING THERE AGAIN IN LATE SPRING. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK.

We are close if you need something but want you to have privacy and a good time on your hard earned vacation. We encourage you to let us know if something isn't working or you would like something to make your stay more enjoyable. It's very important that all our guests have a great experience and want to return and refer friends.

Why they chose this property

This property is very unique. We hate to have to label it as a mobile home, but it's not the typical mobile home. It's been totally redone and is solid and very comfortable. Insulation and new windows make such a big difference! We have addressed each system with new so the plumbing, hot water, electric, ac/heat are all great and very reliable. This property has a better view of the lake than the other house which costs more than double to rent! We are in the process of adding on a covered deck and living room and bath, then the current living room will become the master bedroom for this one to be a 3bd 2 ba rental! Price will go up of course but it will still be a great value.

What makes this property unique

Want to have a bonfire? Shoot your gun? Go on a trail ride? You have come to the right spot. We are in the country and want you to enjoy the outdoors. We of course want you safe so any fires outside of the ring we provide or shooting you want to do need to be set up with us in advance.
