Adorable home w lake front- Paddle boats & kayaks ava, and 2 bathrooms!

This property was remodeled and is lovely!

This cozy house is located on over 1/2 acres of land so you don't have neighbors right on top of you, and you don't have to walk to a park or a beach. The shore is mainly sand with some pebbles. Many properties in the area have a muddy lake bottom, but you can walk into ours a ways before hitting mud!

There are 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen with a charcoal grill outside, and a living room with a fireplace to relax in or kick back in the air conditioning in the summer, and a garage for your toys.

We have yard games, board games, books, kayaks, paddle boats, a large TV, internet, and a blue-ray player so you have lots of entertainment at the house. The sandy shoreline is perfect for wading in during the summer months, and the lake is perfect for year round fishing, including ice fishing in the winter There are also many snowmobile trails in the area.

The house is located just 2 blocks away from a gravel boat launch! There are 14 bars and supper clubs around the lake and over 10,000 acres of water to enjoy. The activities are abundant in the area such as golf, a pool, parks, farm tours, bowling, the drive-in theatre, wine tastings, or stock car races. There are also activities in the city of Madison, Milwaukee, and Wisconsin Dells to discover.

The local townships around the lake, as well as both Dane and Jefferson counties, now require that the host has the name and address of the guest booking the property.

This home is just over 2 hours to the Chicago area, or about 20 minutes to Madison, Janesville or Fort Atkinson, so you won't spend much of your precious vacation time driving. The Anchor Inn is nearby to rent a boat if you don't bring one.

Beautiful property with direct access to the beach and beautiful lake views from the inside of the house and deck. Tammy is very welcoming as a host and quick to respond with great communication. The home has an open layout with all the amenities you would need and ice cold AC for the summer. The yard is perfect for dogs to run and play. Our stay was wonderful and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Tammy is amazing very sweet and so prompt with her communication. When first arriving we were so thrilled the view catches you as soon as you walk in! Once you settle in and walk around you definitely notice it is in need of some tlc. The living room sofas have definitely seen many years of use. The outside wants a bath very badly and the out door furniture is in need of some love. We were not able to sit outside at night the house was swarming with some type of fly so I guess we rented at peak hatching season. There were 6 of us 4 adults and 2 children and come night time we quickly found there weren’t enough sleeping accommodations. Unfortunately we cut our weekend short because of that but 4 people would have plenty of room.

Thank you for your stay. I know you were so thrilled when you got there that you asked me to adopt you so that you could stay. :) Unfortunately the cleaners missed cleaning the sofa which I addressed with them immediately, again when they cleaned, and it's now a permanent reminder on our cleaning checklist. Being thrilled with the stay is what we strive for, and I'm very sorry that is not the experience that you had based on the sofa needing attention. As mentioned, my pesticide is professionally managed, so I was surprised when you said the bugs were that bad. I mean it is a lake, which means bugs, but not as bad as you mentioned. That's why the first thing I asked is whether you had the outdoor lights on, which you said that you did because they'd been turned on by mistake with 6 people there and you weren't sure where to turn them off since you'd missed the label on the light switch. I did check with the guests that checked out the day before your arrival, since they had been there for a week and should have had the same issue if the flood lights being on was not the problem. They did not have a bug problem, so it was likely the fact that the flood lights were left on that drew the bugs to the back of the house. This is a 2 bedroom house with just a queen bed in the master, a full and single bed in the 2nd bedroom, and a sofa bed. I've had plenty of people sleep 6 there that were fine with it, but I understand that can be tight when traveling w/adult friends.

Peaceful get away

Stayed here for 3 nights with my teenage kids. Was perfect for a family getaway. Loved being on the lake and took advantage of the kayaks and paddle boat. Lots of restaurants close by and the kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking in as well. House was so clean and had everything we needed!

Why they chose this property

The house needed a lot of work, which is a challenge that I love to take on when I find a home needing major TLC. However, the deciding factor was when I saw the view of the lake. The 130' of water front across such a big lake just melted my heart, and I'm sure it will do the same for you.
