It’s a cute & cozy cottage. We loved hearing the history of the property. We enjoyed our stay and loved that we could easily walk anywhere downtown in a few minutes.

We enjoyed our stay in the kitchen cottage. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and well maintained with everything we needed for our short stay. Courtyard was lovely. Location was excellent. Appreciated the extra touches like snacks and juice. Stairs are narrow and curved as pictured but we managed well. Bed was very comfortable. WiFi was a bit spotty but adequate for what we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Charleston History

This spot was perfect for husband and wife especially ones who love history. You are living in it!! We enjoyed our stay so much....courtyard, parking, ability to walk everywhere.

Historic gem in perfect location!

We are lovers of historic properties. The Middletons' was absolutely that. It was comfortable, quiet, and very private. We loved the garden area. Perfect location to explore Charleston. We had a wonderful time. One suggestion is the bathroom could use some TLC.

Great Anniversary getaway

We had a wonderful short getaway to Charleston for our Anniversary. Judy and Phillip were great hosts! Our cottage was just perfect for us! It was cozy and comfortable. We loved hearing the history of the property and made it even better !

Best Location in Historical Charleston

Great little cottage - private, cozy. We loved the private garden and fountain especially at night with the lights. Beautiful street to walk down and within walking distance to several restaurants. Felt lucky to find this place.

The Middleton’s were very receptive and relational. The location was perfect for walking to all the areas we wanted to visit. The history of the location and its ambiance was delightful. It was perfect for our stay

Perfect location!

Perfect location in Charleston! Walk to all you would want or need and Phillip and Judy were so easy to work with. The little house was adorable and had everything we needed. Note that the stairwell is tight but a wide straight staircase is easily available.

Such a delightful, historical setting ! Couldn't have been more fabulous. Quiet and charming, as described, and right in Historic Old Town Charleston. Loved the accommodations and the hosts were gracious, introduced themselves and gave us some history on the property - highly recommend!

My daughter and I traveled to Charleston on a history, art and architecture tour. The location of this property was amazing. The hosts are very caring and responsive. Cozy fireplace and gorgeous courtyard were the highlights. The property was clean and steeped in history. I would definitely recommend this property.

Location, location

Had a nice stay. If weather was warmer would have spent more time on beautiful terrace. Bed was very comfortable. Also nice to have table and chairs to eat and work on. Hosts were very plesant and helpful. Lovely, quiet neighborhood, steps from free shuttle and broad street.

Perfectly Charming

Everything I could have wished for in visiting Charleston! Beautiful “kitchen house” in a quiet, sweet backyard with privacy but also direct access to our hosts. Gas fireplace, cute kitchen, oozing history and interest. Everything was walkable so we never had to used our car. Could not have found a better place to stay!

The Middleton’s are wonderful hosts. We checked in early and Mrs Middleton had muffins, fruit and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Our accommodations were fantastic. A part of history. The king size bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our wine in the courtyard. Also, we were right in the middle of everything but it was still quiet. And the off street parking was an added bonus. We loved our stay and our hosts!

The cottage was so cozy and inviting with a lovely courtyard space. The building was a former kitchen that has been renovated into an apartment while keeping the historic charm. The location is spectacular - quiet, walkable and the owners are very responsive. I’ll definitely stay here on my next visit to Charleston.

Delightful Cottage

Loved our stay! Quiet, cool, relaxing! Interior staircase could be an issue if one is not able-bodied, but exterior stairs are straightforward and a good way to bring in overnight bags. Lovely, cozy space to relax after a day of sightseeing and shopping. We parked our vehicle, utilizing provided parking permits, and walked everywhere we wanted to go. Perfect location south of Broad!! Definitely recommend!!

From Anchorage
