We were greeted with lots of goodies to enjoy during our stay! The location was perfect for walking everywhere we wanted to be. We loved staying in this historic abode and would like to do it again!
This is a special spot where you are living in a piece of history! It is adorable and the courtyard is my favorite to sit and have a cocktail or coffee. We have been here before and hope to return
What a charming piece of Charleston that the Middletons are sharing with their rental units. We were excited upon arrival, and then after hearing the history of the city and how kitchen houses became, we were in complete wonderment with the pice of history that we were staying in. Thank you for opening your hearts and home for travelers worldwide.
Quaint little spot to stay in the heart of south Charleston close to the Battery, Broad and Bay St.Host was so friendly and accommodating.Stairs are a bit steep but we got up and down fine.
Fantastic location. Charming and clean living and sleeping areas. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to explore Charleston. Need some agility for the stairs but well worth it!
This is an ideal location to explore historic Charleston! Only 1 1/2 blocks from Broad St, and a 15-20 minute to nearly everything, including carriage rides, marina, shops, and amazing restaurants. This is a perfect spot for active couples who want to explore the area. The hosts were very accommodating, considering our change of travel plans due to airlines and weather. We would definitely stay here again!
The house is in a great location on a very quiet street yet within minutes of restaurants, shopping etc. The kitchen and bathroom are very tired and need some work.
We loved our stay in this historic, beautiful, and cute place. We always loved this section of Charleston especially walking around at night and the courtyard was a perfect place to enjoy some wine in the evening. I would love to stay here again. I am 6' and an little over 200lbs. I was fine with the small staircase to the upstairs bed but would imagine larger folks might struggle a little.
We loved staying in this location! It was historic and made us very happy. Mr. Middleton was very accommodating and we very much appreciated his kindness. You couldn’t ask for a better location and host.
The cottage was so cozy and inviting with a lovely courtyard space. The building was a former kitchen that has been renovated into an apartment while keeping the historic charm. The location is spectacular - quiet, walkable and the owners are very responsive. I’ll definitely stay here on my next visit to Charleston.
It’s a cute & cozy cottage. We loved hearing the history of the property. We enjoyed our stay and loved that we could easily walk anywhere downtown in a few minutes.
