NW Denver is the ideal spot-15 minutes from both Downtown and the Mountains. Located in the Arts & Culture neighborhood of Berkley, just 5 blocks away from Tennyson St. shops and restaurants. Walking distance from 2 grocery stores, 2 parks, the best bakery in Denver, post office, and a 100 year old amusement park!
This is an elegant 640 sq foot 1-bedroom apt above a studio/garage (stairs). Complete streamline kitchen, oak floors, large windows, walk in shower, tempurpedic King Size bed. Laundry on site. Parking available in alley or at front of house.

Great Place to Stay while exploring Denver

Excellent location, close to Denver and all the nearby cities. Very easy to come and go and the hosts were wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Perfect in every way

Safe neighborhood, extremely clean, owners live on property and are respectful of privacy, but also easily available and wonderful layout. They thought of all of the necessities and more. We had a wonderful stay in part because of this VRBO property.

Incredible Experience

Cute place, great location

The apartment was very clean and in a great location. We enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants. The hosts were super nice! If we ever go back to Denver, we will stay here again!

Perfect Getaway

This place was located just a walk away from some amazing restaurants and must see spots. The hosts were so friendly and easy to contact. The birdsnest was very well kept, clean and updated with a short walk through a beautiful garden. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Denver!

Great Quick Weekend in Denver

Elizabeth and Eric have a great place right in Berkeley. The unit was clean, hosts communicative, and pleasurable experience all around. The garage apartment style guest house is located on a quiet street close to all things on Tennyson. Would absolutely stay again.

Great neighborhood

Elizabeth & Eric were great hosts. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. The garden is lovely.You can walk to everything and the neighborhood is very quiet and pretty. We had a wonderful stay.

Cozy and lovely, convenient.

I was in Denver for two weeks of work, and this location was central to Denver and other areas of interest. The hosts were amazing, and I look forward to staying with them again. I enjoyed the location. It is close to shopping dining and there’s also a rec center for working out close by. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay at the Birdhouse

From beginning to end the owners were very communicative. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and it was a great location for all the activities we wanted to do. Parking was easy and easily accessible. The birdhouse was very clean and had all the essentials we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if we come back to Denver.

Happy to have returned!

We just stayed at the Birdhouse for the second time and found it as charming as before. This is a lovely apartment---thoughtfully and tastefully furnished, and located within walking distance of the shops and restaurants on Tennyson Street. We will be back!

Perfect retreat!

Stayed here with my husband for a week long vacation. This is a fantastic property in a great location! Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and more! Everything we could need to feel at home for our vacation was made available at the property. The owners were communicative and the area seemed very safe. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking in the area.

Beautiful space, in a great neighborhood!

My wife and I stayed here after a few years of very minimal traveling, so hopes were high and they were completely met. The hosts are friendly and as available as you need them to be, but we had all of the privacy we would ever need. We will be back, and have already talked several family members into looking into it when they go to Denver.

Denver visit

My partner Beth and I stayed in The Birdhouse during our recent visit. I have family and friends in the area. The Birdhouse is spacious and comfortable, and the neighborhood offers many food options within a short walk. Our hosts made communication very easy. We had a wonderful time and will likely return.

'Found our Denver Home Away From Home

This flat couldn't have been more perfect for my husband and me. It's within walking distance of several restaurants and shops on Tennyson, but also close to the Highlands and downtown. The space is new, clean and modern, with many artful accents. Eric and Elizabeth were fabulous hosts and a pleasure to meet. The next time we're headed back to Denver, we hope to stay at "The Birdhouse" again!

Perfect space

We loved everything about this property. It was beautifully designed, extremely clean, well-stocked, and quiet. Elizabeth was friendly and warm, offering helpful tips. We did get to stop by Bakery Four on the way out of town and stocked up on a plethora of buns, including her recommended cardamom bun, which was to die for. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would gladly book here. *apologies for leaving juice and grapes in refrigerator. Meant to discard when we left and totally forgot.

My Overall Impression - AMAZING!!!

From before check-in to after check-out, my BirdHouse stay was 100 percent perfect! Communication was seamless, and the Zimmers have created a Home Away home full of heart (how many heart-shaped stones can you count on the path?!) and every comfort you could want. Sunshine streams in the large windows, creating a cozy reading spot on a comfy couch. The kitchen is a dream and I was able to cook meals and bake cookies for my son to give him a little taste of home. The location of The BirdHouse is ideal - just a hop over to I-70 or sneak the back ways thru town, checking out the great neighborhoods of Denver. I highly recommend an early morn walk to watch the sun rise over Sloan's Lake. I can't wait for my return to Denver and The BirdHouse....did I mention the fabulous shower and unbelievably comfortable Tempurpedic bed? Big plus - you can leave with a piece of Eric's art to remember your stay. His encaustic squares are just the right size to tuck into your carry-on and I chose a mountain scene to remind me of my great visit.

This little gem was just perfect for our three night stay. Eric and Elizabeth are amazing hosts as we had a few special requests and they quickly responded and met our needs. Birdhouse Vacation

Great location in a neighborhood to walk places. Perfect for parents/close friends. I think it is best for adults or older kids, because the entrance is stairs. Property owners were wonderful and easy communication.

Pristine modern apartment

Lovely, tasteful one-bedroom in a walkable neighborhood. The apartment is thoughtfully appointed, with all of the items needed for a comfortable stay (ample kitchenwares, toiletries, extra bedding and more) and sparkling clean. Both the apartment and adjoining garden reflect the owners' keen eye for design and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Cozy Berkeley getaway

We stayed here for my moms birthday! Our family lives in the neighborhood so we were able to walk to there house every morning. We love the cozy walkable Berkeley neighborhood. The place was easy to find and very clean. It was close to downtown and to Sloans lake. We would definitely stay again! Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful one bedroom in a lovely neighborhood

Had an amazing stay. Denver was beautiful in June, surprisingly warm. Home is well kept in a nice neighborhood. Tennyson St was a short walk away with restaurants, shops, and breweries. Close drive to downtown. Owners were great to work with and I'd love to stay here again sometime.

The Birdhouse is a great place to nest!

I loved my time here. Elizabeth and Eric were a pleasure to get to know and responded immediately to any needs I had. The place is very airy and sunny, modern and well equipped. Great kitchen , TV, shower etc. The owners are both artists and the inside and outside reflect their artistry and whimsy. The Berkeley neighborhood is delightful with restaurants, shops, pubs, parks, etc. It was a pleasure spending a month there (close to my daughter’s home in the neighborhood.) because it had all I was wanting - a beautiful space, great location and delightful owners who came to feel like friends.
