Cabin was very clean and just the right amount of space for us to stay. Fere is a wonderful host. Such a nice property. The alpacas are very friendly and funny. The chickens were very cute too. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away from the city as we were. We would book again.
Fere has built an amazing community for her family and her animals. it’s the perfect place to get out of the city and reconnect with nature. lots of interactions with very friendly animals. i will definitely be going back!!

Dear Andrea
Thank you so much for your kind words, thank you for noticing our well intentions on the property it was so amazing to host you and your beautiful friends...don't change anything about you as its perfect the way you all are.
Fere is a wonderful host whose focus is to ensure you stay exceeds expectations. Pre check communication was very timely and highly responsive. Check in was seamless with flexible timing. The guesthouse was very clean with all the amenities expected and needed. The property is very private with ample space including hiking trails and much green space for those looking for some disconnect from the rat race, fresh air and peacefulness. Highly recommended gem in the country with an amazing host!

Dear Gary
Thank you so so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review for us.
It's always a two way street, as we feed off our guests and when we have guests as amazing as you, we can't help it but return the favor.
I do hope to see you down the road once more
We have been to the property pre Covid. It is still a quiet restful spot. The walking trails are nice it is dog friendly place. They have free run choke a ducks and alpacas on the property. The kitchen is very small but there is a barbecue to use. Bring items that can be bbq cooked on a stove top. There isn’t an oven to bake a full size pizza just a toaster oven. The microwave is small as well. The fridge is half size no freezer. Careful planning or trips to the general store or Orangeville can provide meals. There is wifi now which is great no tv this is a place to wind down take a rest chill out without the traps of everyday life. Lots of grounds to explore. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

Dear Cathy
Love having you again and absolutely adore your honest reviews of our space, even though it's listed on my post, but I feel that folks don't read it clearly and pay better attention to the reviews. Absolutely amazing having and hope to sew you down the road
We were looking for a winter get away without the expense of a ski resort. This turned out perfectly. the cabin was small but worked out just fine for our family four. The kids loved the loft area and the pull out couch was very comfortable. The property is spectacular and we enjoyed sleigh riding and walking the trails. Fere was very welcoming and we enjoyed the trip immensely.

Dear Lynn
I am so glad your trip was successful and you enjoyed your stat with us,
We loved having you, hope to see you down the road again
This property is an oasis. You can feel peacefulness as you arrive. The owner was on the spot to help us settle in. The house is very private, beautifully furnished and with an equally beautiful history. We found the bed VERY comfortable. My husband even commented on the comfort of the bed! The photos don't fully represent the grace and comfort of this property - much more lovely than expected. Excellent design. Would be great for people who want to relax and walk, read and reconnect. Close to major centers but WHY would you want to leave?

I booked a mini trip for my boyfriend and I. We were not disappointed with the location and property. The history and character of the cabin is one that cannot be explained in words, truly breathtaking. It is a beautiful cabin to relax and enjoy the simple things in life. I highly recommend it for a couples getaway.

Beautiful 30 acres of rolling hills and forest paths to enjoy. Very secluded and romantic. Enjoyed the porch in the evenings bring mosquito coils and bug spray to enjoy the woods and the evenings . This is a cut off place no tv, radio or wifi. Bring cards and games to play. I found the double bed a little small for me being tall, use the sofa bed instead it is new and comfortable. The kitchen has what you need to make a decent meal. The bbq is very good ignites well and cooks well. There is a spice garden outside your door. We did use for our salads which was a nice touch. Orangeville isn't far away if you need something or if it rains. The Hockley General store has meals and a lovely cafe along with the LCBO and Beer Store which is handy. Nice place for a break from life 2 to 3 days is perfect. I did miss tv in the evening. Lovely greeting from Fere warm and welcoming. Good place to go for a nreak.

Conveniently located and far away from any distractions, the Up Country cabin was exactly what we expected. Gorgeous winter trails, beautiful fire stove, cozy and warm overall. Our host Fere was super welcoming and nice. It felt like home, and we would be glad to go back. Absolutely recommend it for a couple's quiet getaway.
