Great stay for me and my wife. Needed a weekend away and we couldn't have asked for better. Had my boat and the fishing was great. They had a dock, so I loved going early and just stepping right onto the boat. I would highly recommend for a couples getaway.

Beautiful cozy lake house! Our third time here and were will definitely be back again. Micky and Beth are outstanding hosts. If there is anything they havenā€™t thought of to make guests more comfortable I canā€™t think of what it would be. Peaceful. Relaxing.

My husband and I spend our 10th anniversary here and we absolutely love the peaceful quiet setting. The property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed sitting on the porch early mornings and late evening. We went fishing and had a blast even though the turtles took all our hair the experience was fun! We will definitely book this rental again.

This was our second visit. We really enjoyed it when we were there last year, so decided to return. The cabin is just as advertised. Itā€™s very peaceful. We were looking for a quiet weekend and this was an excellent choice.

A few items we noticed:A /C could not be adjusted, no up, no down, no off. Pretty cold in the evening.Kitchen rugs slide badly, need something to secure them in place.Door handle on bathroom in master needs to be attached.Everything else was nice, and worked well.Kind regards

So glad you had a nice stay! It seems you may not have seen the mini-split remote in its holder on the wall in the living room that controls all functions including controlling the temp and on/off capability. If we had heard from you with questions or concerns, we would have been more than glad to walk you through them. The mini-split works very well and can be set to whatever temps a guests desires for comfort. We purposefully do not have the throw rugs at the kitchen sink and back door tacked down to the wood floor so that housekeeping can get under and around them to sweep and mop. We have never heard concerns from guests regarding the rugs, but will look into replacing them with some that may be less likely to slide around. Thank you for bringing a need to check the half bath door handle to our attention so that we can take a look at that and secure it asap. Hope to have you back for another stay at Hideaway at Hawkins!
