Brand new to the portfolio as of December 2018, this contemporary two-suite Pied à Terre in downtown Jackson is as close as you can get to urban living in Wyoming. The Town Square, which is the valley’s central dining and shopping area, is just two blocks away. Walk to locals' favorite Persephone Bakery and Café for coffee, and arguably the best croissants outside of Paris, every morning. At night, walk to drinks or dinner, options range from casual to fine dining. Some of our favorites include Bin 22, Snake River Grill, Trio, Local or Roadhouse Brewing Company. You can also walk to the movie theater, more than 30 art galleries, or show at the Center for the Arts. In summer, walk to the farmers’ market or the Town Square Shootout. The former brings together more than two-dozen local farmers and producers selling fresh, organic produce, cheese, flowers, and meat. The latter is the longest-running staged shootout in the country and starts at 6 p.m. every night (except Sunday) between Memorial Day and Labor Day on the Town Square.
But, because this is urban living Wyoming-style, it’s not just restaurants and shopping that are nearby. Hiking, biking, and skiing are also a short stroll away, while fishing on the Snake River is easily accessible. From the open living area in the residence, a wall of picture windows frame Snow King Mountain. Known locally as the “Town Hill,” Snow King was the first ski resort in Wyoming when it opened in 1938. Today it has hiking and biking trails, a scenic chairlift, 400 acres of terrain, a year-round mountain coaster, a winter tubing park, and the valley’s only night skiing.
The interior and amenities of Pied à Terre on Pear match its convenient location. The thoughtfully designed complex includes heated, underground parking, a rustic wood paneled elevator, and lovely public spaces featuring reclaimed barn wood floors and stunning nature photography.
Stepping into this residence, the first thing you notice is the abundance of natural light. This is thanks to the same windows that frame Snow King, which are south facing and, even in winter, warm the space.
From the front door, where there’s a coat closest and built-in bench, the layout pulls you into the spacious main living area, which is designed for entertaining. A kitchen island with bar stools is near a glass-front gas fireplace; if there’s a better place to enjoy a quiet, intimate breakfast or evening cocktail, we’ve yet to discover it. For larger gatherings, use this entire space: the kitchen, island, a dining table that seats 8, fireplace, over sized couch, and multiple armchairs are all open to each other. There is a powder room (which includes a shower) adjacent to this open concept living area.
When you are ready to retire for the evening, the cozy two bedroom suites await. The master suite has a king bed and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, deep soaking tub, separate WC, and a double vanity. One wall of the suite is dedicated to closet space. Windows look to the west.
The second suite has two twin beds (which can also convert to a king) and a combined tub/shower. Both bedroom suites have new, plush carpeting.
The well appointed kitchen features a 4-burner Jenn-Air gas range, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, and Thermador dishwasher. There is also a spacious laundry room, where there is a side-by-side washer and dryer and plenty of counter space.
As always, The Clear Creek Concierge Team is here to help you plan a custom Jackson experience.
