About this property

Isolated beach front house

Secluded beach front home, 3 levels. Full beach access, full ocean view from every room. The house has all new carpeting, windows, siding, and kitchen. Dining room, living room and bedrooms have all new furniture. Layout consist of 2 bedroom's, Queen size bed in both, lower level has family room with a full size bed with a twin trundle, 2 full bathrooms. Full kitchen,living room, Full laundry room with washer and dryer and dining room. Deck off upper level and on side yard. You can surf, boogie board, see tide pools, sea lions, eagles, and whale watch in front of the house. Over 6 miles of sandy beaches. The house is located about 6 miles from Newport and 15 from Lincoln City. Depoe Bay located 5 miles north has deep sea fishing and whale watching trips. The house has beach toys, boogie board, wet suits, boots and gloves for kids. Beach chairs, barbeque, firewood, woodstove, and a view you will not soon forget. Please note. The beach access is a trail with steps onto the sand, at times the storms will wash out the bottom two steps. I rebuild them as soon as possible but it may vary depending on the season. My best friend and I rented it for a week. We had a wonderful time there! The views were absolutely beautiful! We were even able to watch a pod of grey whales feeding off shore! There are lots of things to do nearby.and plenty of food options. I enjoyed having beach access where I was almost alone most of the time.I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone!!!!

Fun Week With Pups

Beautiful Sunset

The house was perfect, exactly as shown in the listing. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunset both evenings we were there. The quick access to the beach was great for our dog. We will definitely be back.

This is our second stay at this home and we’re already booked for next summer! The house is well stocked and comfortable. The views and proximity to the beach are absolutely fabulous!! Love our family time on the coast!

Secluded cliffside home in great location

We stayed here for the King Tides. The location is superb, about half way between Depoe Bay and Newport. It's in a secluded setting in the woods. There is a nice deck with a grand view of the ocean. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Great View

Property is as described. Gorgeous view . As others have mentioned, property is not for anyone with any mobility issues. House is actually 4 levels. Entry is main bath and laundry, upper floor is kitchen and living room, below entry two bedrooms, bottom floor, with quite steep stairs is another bedroom or den and second bath. Driveway is quite difficult to get into… I had to get out and guide my husband in each time. Plus sides are how beautiful the view is, nice and quiet with very few people, (except surfers!) around.exceptionally outfitted kitchen and wonderful deck. Younger folks will love this property and remote location. Also, there is a private beach access however the last 10 feet or so were washed out.. rope helped tremendously! All in all, very positive experience!

Otter Rock Beach House Fantastic

Great location on an immense sandy beach. Can walk to ice cream and Mo’s Seafood. Beach great for boogie boarding, sand castles, dam building, kite flying, wave jumping and just running. Walking to beach does involve going down steep path with a rope. It is all part of the adventure.

Coastal Paradise

Overall this location is a beautiful relaxing site. From the ocean noises to the easy access to whale watching towns and parks, this was a great pick for an Anniversary celebration. The sunsets were amazing. It will not be handicap friendly as there are several stair cases to maneuver. One bed was not comfortable, but since their are 2 other rooms, we were able to adjust.

Aug visit

Great stay! Lovely view, clean and comfortable. Parking is tight; access to the beach requires caution..and sure footedness..but also fun to watch the surfers and whales from the deck. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There is a nice bathroom downstairs with a tub but it does not have a shower. The house is not new but well maintained. I gave it a 4 on cleanliness as I felt there were a few things that could benefit from some additional attention e.g. the jets in the tub downstairs..but nothing that made us feel uncomfortable. We look forward to returning. Thanks to owner and staff who made it a great stay!

Great views

Couldn't find path to beach, but weather didn't really permit going down anyway so wasn't a big deal. Parking is very tight, upper spit wasn't apparent.

The Views!!!!

The property has beautiful views, in a wooded setting. Siting on the deck watching the ocean and working at the kitchen table with the view of the ocean in front of me, we’re highlights at this home. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of games at the house, and activities nearby. Walking down to the beach In wet conditions was not for the faint of heart. But lots of easy beach access a short drive away. This was our second stay at this property, and we are sure to be back again.

Amazing views and comfortable relaxing

A three story home tucked into the hillside, surrounded by vegitation and tall trees and living spaces facing a virtually unobstructed view of the beach and ocean waves. Bed was comfortable and the downstairs den was a clean, entertaining area to take in the warm sun through the windows and enjoy some retro console gaming or movies. The upstairs living area provided comfortable lounging with a warm fire and some simple card games at the meeting table. Minutes away from Depoe Bay and Newport and about 25 miles south of Lincoln City.

Great stay

Wonderful place. Perfect for the rainy days. Beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean. Access to beach is a bit dicey for people who are not sure footed but I know Tom works on trying to keep on top of it.. Maybe some new rope that extends the whole way down? There are steps to the beach down at the Boiler Bay wayside which is about a 10 minute walk from house. Directions to the path might be good too. No trespassing sign left me wondering but I figured it was for outsiders? Also, dog deposit amount was not clear on VRBO or at least to me. Would not hesitate to return.

Secluded Beautiful View

Love this vacation house. It was clean and had everything we needed. Wifi worked great, as I did need to do some remote work. The view from the deck is beautiful. Enjoyed sitting out and having my morning coffee. My husband, dogs, and I did not have any trouble getting down the path to the beach; however, it would be hard for someone who has difficulties walking/climbing steep inclines. It was only steep at the bottom of the trail to get onto the beach, using a rope to guide down. I loved having the trees around the house as well, the property is secluded and very peaceful. The deck on the back of the house has a beautiful view of the ocean and was nice to sit on when it was windy. Loved that there was a hose outside to clean the sand off the dogs and ourselves. We will definitely rent this property again next time we vacation in Oregon.

The views were great however, the listing states there is a BBQ, so we decided to bring our dog and have a "staycation". We purchased expensive steaks and sausages to grill. We had all of our meals planned out, and when we arrived, there was no BBQ. Instead we were greeted with a boarded up patio, with a hand written sign saying "DO NOT ENTER WAITING TO REPLACE". I called the owner to inquire about the grill, and he said I could go purchase one and he would reimburse me. I said I was on vacation and did not want to do that. He said he was 3 hours away, and I said that I was 9 hours away and that it would have been nice if he would have let me know ahead of time. Tom said he would take 100 off our fee, and he could have a BBQ delivered by Thursday, or Friday. We arrived on Monday and were staying until the following Saturday. He said he had a friend that could bring one over in the meantime. That friend called us and said he couldn't bring it because he had a camper shell on his truck. I spoke with Tom again and he got defensive, worrying about me posting a bad review, and suggested I stay elsewhere. We drove 9 hours to have a vacation and don't appreciate the way the owner seemed offended that we were letting him know the house did not have what was advertised. Of course we stayed there, and he reimbursed me 250. The promised grill never showed up. The other reviews about the difficult parking and climb up to the house are accurate.
