This home is gorgeous and perfect for a large group. There is plenty of space. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. Rooms are large and there are plenty of beds. Short drive to the lake, store and downtown Groveland. We would definitely return. Thank you!
Plenty of room in this place for our big family and the house had everything we needed. We had an issue with WiFi that got resolved that evening even though it was pretty late at night when we realized. The place was clean and the checkout instructions were simple.
PML is always great and you can't beat Yosemite for a family hike. We would certainly come back again. Thank you for hosting us.
Wonderful family vacation home! Gorgeous, clean, huge! Only small, fixable problems. The huge kitchen has lots of empty drawers. Only one wine glass? Only one kitchen towel? Also, a couple of extra chairs on that beautiful deck would be great. Truly a stunning property. Everything worked. Would absolutely. rent this house again!

Nice Home but needs attention
This is a very nice home, spacious, with a nice view of the hilly countryside in Groveland, California. However, the home is poorly maintained and many of the appliances are worn or broken and need replacing. The kitchen utensils are of low quality and will frustrate any group wishing to cook on the premises.

Gorgeous home, poorly managed.
The house is beautiful, roomy and has some new furnishings since the last time our family rented it before Covid. The problem was we had one kitchen tile, three ceiling fans (two in the main great room) that didn’t work and the Wi-Fi was incorrect. We got there on a Thursday and it took till Saturday to get towels and Wi-Fi info. John came to try to fix the fans but couldn’t. He really tried hard. We made many calls, we’re put off, told they were short staffed, etc. I rented a great house and expected good service. We’ve rented over 15 houses in PML for over 35 years. Never a problem with response. Tonya Morris came to our rescue and followed up to be sure we were ok. We had a blast, loved our family time, the house was beautiful! Thank you.

Thank you for your review, Donna, we hope you were able to enjoy your stay. Thank you for sharing your feedback and bringing some items to our attention that may need some TLC. We have forwarded your feedback to the local staff so they can work to improve the house for future guests. Additionally, we apologize for the issues you experienced with the wifi. It is always our goal for our guests to be able to use every amenity our homes have to offer and we regret that the ball was dropped this time. Our property manager has assured us that they are working to resolve these issues and we hope you choose to stay with us again.
Property management and housekeeping of this house is deplorable. Here is a list of issues we had with this house; keep looking!
~We had 10 guests booked for this house; when we got there we scoured the house and found 7 towels, half of which were hung up damp or wet
~Husband was sitting in dining room chair when it collapsed under him, sending him to the floor. Upon further inspection there were other chairs that either had broken or missing spindles at the bottom, waiting for another accident
~Oven door didn't close all the way; discovered when the lasagna we had in the oven was still cold in the middle after baking for 1 1/2 hours
~Food caked on plates put away in the cabinets, coffee cups with residue.. we had to wash dishes BEFORE we ate.
~Pest control issues; cobwebs everywhere and ants were dropping on the kitchen table from the ceiling when we were eating breakfast.
~No blow dryer available anywhere in the house; who travels with a blow dryer anymore?
~No dish towels or wash cloths provided in the kitchen.
Property management made no concessions for us for above issues and wouldn't return calls or e-mails. House is in a nice neighborhood, and about an hour away from Yosemite. We found it last minute the week before we were going to be in the area, now we know why it was available. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. This was the worst experience we have had after renting dozens of properties on VRBO.

We are so sorry to read you did not enjoy your time here. We did not notice any ants upon inspection, but we did find cobwebs and have cleared them away. Maintenance has repaired the chair, the staircase has been secured, the laundry chute has been covered, the broken table upstairs has been repaired, the stairwell light has been replaced, and we have discussed the housekeeping issues with our team. We hope to have another chance to impress you!
Our stay was very enjoyable and the property is great with excellent views from the deck. We loved it. There were some cobwebs at unexpected places and dusty, it can be cleaned/maintained better. The entrance can get busy on long weekends when people are getting into the pine mountain area.

Hi, thank you for your review, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We apologize for the house not being cleaned as thoroughly as is our standard. Please know that local staff is available to assist with any cleanliness issues you encounter while in the home. We hope to get the chance to host you again! Thank you.
Certainly the best vacation we had at Pine Mountain Lake. The house is amazing. Looks not much from the street but absolutely stunning inside and out back. Windows in the bathrooms? Yes! Cause there are no neighbors! So spacious inside. So well designed to accommodate several families. High end appliances make everything easy. Separate air conditioning for downstairs and upstairs ... what a concept! Vacasa maintenance is so responsive. Would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed the cabin and hope to stay there again. Unfortunately when we arrived, our names had not been added to the cabin, so the main gate for the complex wouldn't let us in. It took almost two hours on the phone, holding for most of that, to get it straightened out. The instructions sent the day before mentioned that the keypad doesn't work and them listed two lock box codes. We found 3 lock boxes and the codes didn't work for any of them. We then tried the old keypad code listed and it worked just fine. The place was big, clean and a comfortable stay. There were 10 of us and we booked for 12, there were only 9 towels sadly. The wifi network and code listed in the instructions didn't exist. We found the router in the office and the code was luckily listed on the bottom. There was a broken chair, and the 2nd floor bathroom really needs a shade over the shower window. You can directly see into the shower from the street without any effort at all while folks are showering.

The house was clean and spacious. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen and second tv room. We would definitely book here again

We’ll be back!
Wow! What an amazing property and home. We had 5 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of space. The home has so much beautiful character, everything worked great and the accommodations were amazing. Not sure what took us so long to come to Groveland but we will be back staying at Lou and Carols again in the near future.
The property is spacious, but probably has not been upgraded for a while. None of the bathroom doors lock. The stay was enjoyable mainly because of location. The first night power went out. There were no emergency supplies such as candles, flashlights or even a lighter. No hot water. No stove. We were constantly bumping into things in an unfamiliar place. Next day we called the property manager and asked for the emergency supplies, in case it happens again. He readily agreed but did not follow thru. There was a charge of $40 per car per week just for parking on the property. It is unfair to start with, but they tell you about it buried in the fine print. It prominently warns about it only close to the vacation date. They should make serious attempt to get rid of this charge. More than anything else, it leaves a feeling of being fleesed.

Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. Our local team strives to provide every one of our guests with the best vacation possible. We are so sorry if our standards were not met during your time with us. This information has been sent to the local staff in regards to emergency lighting to consider to ensure the comfort of future guests. As for the parking, we make every effort to present clear, accurate descriptions of our homes in order for guests to make informed decisions on their rental choices. Our listing does include information on the parking fees. The HOA manages the common areas, including the parking, and is responsible for setting the rates. This is something we have no control over. We're looking forward to hosting you again in the future for a more enjoyable stay.
There were 3 ceiling Vans that did not work. They were pet stains on the carpet in the master bedroom. The oven was filthy. There were cobwebs in the bathrooms. The mattresses were not comfortable. The bedrooms needed blinds as the light comes in at 6:30 am. Just FYI
It was a lovely floor plan though and we did have a great time.
Pros: This house was nice and big. Plenty of room for our group. All of the bedrooms were a good size and having a separate family room and living room was great. It was very hot during our stay and the A/C worked really well also. It’s also within a close proximity to the lake, pool, and golf course.
Cons: All of the mattresses are terribly old and broken down. Zero padding, just sleeping directly on metal springs. The kids didn’t seem to notice, but the adults were all in pain and dreaded going to sleep each night. Most of the windows (which are quite large) have no coverings so you wake with the sun. Not to mention the privacy issue. We moved a coffee table and there was a rat trap underneath it as well as droppings. The downstairs bathroom door handle was broken and trapped people inside twice.
All in all, it is a large house with spacious rooms. It desperately needs some attention though. People are still paying top dollar to stay there and as it stands now, you don’t leave feeling that you got your money’s worth.
Beautiful view. Plenty of room for our families and (2) Labs. The house was clean with the exception of a few dirty dishes and mouse droppings in a few of the kitchen drawers. Had to wash the dishes by hand because the dishwasher was not working properly. The digital lock would not allow us to re-enter to get a few items that were left in the refrigerator. Overall it was a great location and everyone had a good time.

Thank you for your review, Doris. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the view from our home! We sincerely apologize for the issues that you experienced with the dishwasher and lock and mouse droppings. Please know that this is not commonplace and we thank you for reaching out to us so that our local team could address these issues. We hope that we may have a second chance to better impress you in the future.
There was mouse poop everywhere. I was told that I needed to clean in myself. then a maintenance man named Ben dropped off mouse traps for me to set and told us we need to adapt to our settings. The house is in disrepair. Most of the appliances are broken and the beds are trash. I am sending pictures of all of these issues to Vacasa. We will never VRBO again.

Hi Dawn!
We appreciate you submitting your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay due to multiple inconveniences such as the mouse poop sightings and having mouse traps dropped off for you for you to set. Sincere apologies for this and if you're interested we would love to extend a 15% credit off the rent of your next stay. This credit cannot be redeemed online and you must contact our Vacasa Guest Services to receive this credit, it must be used within 15 months from date of issuance and can be used at any of our Vacasa properties! Your feedback has been shared with our Local Manager regarding your experience. We hope for another opportunity to host you again soon, for a much more enjoyable stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was spacious and comfortable. We loved stargazing at night and waking up amongst the beautiful trees. We especially appreciated it was not too far from Yosemite (40 min). We were disappointed with the check in process as the 3 codes we were given did not work for either of the 2 lockboxes. We weren’t able to enter the house until 30 minutes after we arrived and contacted Vacasa for assistance. The listing also said the house would have soap and a few rolls of paper towels. We were disappointed to discover there was no body soap or gel and only 1 roll of paper towels (especially because there were NO kitchen towels). Overall, these were small problems that can easily be fixed in the future and in no way affected the wonderful time we had at this house.

Major issues with good house
The house is nice. But, we ran into a number of huge issues when staying in this home.
1) A/Cs did not work. Smaller A/C was fixed during day 2 of our 4 day stay. But, larger A/C remained broken. Bedroom night temperatures were around 75 degrees. But, temperatures in other rooms rose up to 90 degrees during the day time and never dipped below 85 degrees during the night. This made our stay very uncomfortable
2) WiFi was very unstable
3) It took three hours to enter the house because the property manager could not find the correct access code to the house. With 95 degrees outside, it made the checkin process very difficult.
4) Bathroom locks did not work. We had to place signs on bathroom doors to avoid surprises.
Property manager acknowledged that we experienced major issues with this home and provided us a partial refund.

Beautiful Home
We loved our stay at this house. It is beautiful, large, and the kitchen and living space has an open floor plan. It is also very private and has a amazing views. The WIFI is very spotty, but I think that might be the case for the whole area.
Enjoyed the house with another family! Only negatives were that the beds were old, very hot when we arrived at 9pm (thermostats were off), $31 per car parking fee was not advertised when booking, and the distance to Yosemite Valley was over an hour away. All else was splendid, I’d stay again!
