Historical heart Uzes 145 m2 of comfort, authenticity and calm, air conditioning, pool

Moderato Cantabile, ranked 4 ⭐️ by the Ministry of Tourism, is our second home. We feel so good that we wanted to share it with guests.
Dating from 1650, the house has been fully restored respecting its authenticity without forgetting the comfort of the 21st century
Stone walls, plastered with lime, Provençal ceilings .... rub shoulders with air conditioning and wifi ...

In the same spirit, it is furnished and decorated in the respect of the charm of the old, awakened by touches of modernity.
Rare in saved area, it has 2 entrances, a terrace and a raised courtyard where, since April 2018, an urban swimming pool and a deck in ipé have added to its charm.


The entrance by the pedestrian street (accessible to the cars of the residents) opens on a magnificent vaulted living room floored recently of bleached oak. 2 comfortable sofas, a connected TV with curved screen, a waxed concrete round table and a library are installed there. A little further, an old carpet leads to adorable toilets and then to a laundry room where we installed a folding football table.

A few steps (7) of a magnificent uzétien staircase and it is the dining room (accessible directly by the entry on court) with its Provencal ceiling, opened on the entirely equipped kitchen (oven, microwaves , high-end dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer ...)
From there, a direct access allows to take advantage of the terrace and the courtyard where was installed an urban swimming pool since April 2018.

4 spiral stairs above is an exceptional suite of 31m2, very bright, king size bed, sofa, tv connected, with its bathroom (walk-in shower, tadelakt, polished concrete) and its toilet.

A 1/2 floor above, a room with 2 beds 90 can be assembled to make a bed of 180 (memory mattress). In addition, a chaise longue can be transformed into a very comfortable extra bed (futon) in 90 cm.

A 2nd suite with mezzanine is 6 steps higher. There is a bathroom (double basins, bath, walk-in shower, tadelakt walls, wc ..) a king size bed with memory foam mattresses, an office area, a 2nd Nespresso ...

The mezzanine overlooking the bedroom with a magnificent railing created by an ironworker, is arranged in a relaxation area with very comfortable dunlopillo armchairs .... Japanese panels provide privacy.

The house is fully air-conditioned although the living room is naturally cool thanks to its vaults.

It has unlimited wi-fi access.
2 connected TVs provide access to more than 150 channels as well as Amazon premium video and Canal Plus (in the lounge for the latter). Game applications, in particular, have been installed. It is also possible to choose the reception language of most channels.
A landline offers free contacts with landlines and mobiles from many countries.

Bed linen and towels, quality, is available for free.

It is possible to install a cot, on request, with changing mat and baby phone with camera.

Over the course of our discoveries, the house is still evolving to perfect its comfort and charm, already excellent.

The terrace allows you to eat outside very pleasantly, a window directly overlooking the kitchen serving hatch.

As for the shaded courtyard, it opens to several perspectives (reading, refreshment in the pool, idleness ...)

We also have a closed and secure garage 600 m from the house (very significant in high season).

The house (qualified by travelers "haven of peace") has many assets: old charm, comfort and modernity, meals possible on the terrace overlooking the pool, 2 access, quiet (thanks to the pedestrian street ), but possibility to leave his suitcases or races by car, near shops (bakeries, cafes, restaurants, newspapers in 2 steps), 200 m from the beautiful place with herbs with its famous markets of Wednesday and Saturday.

It can make happiness, as it already does ours, of several categories of travelers (a couple, several couples friends, family).

Finally Uzès, 1st duchy of France, ranked No. 2 by The Guardian (No. 1 CapeTown) as the best holiday destination, has a charm. Its preserved district allows the meeting of many historic buildings, but is also provided with many shops ..... while allowing the nature lovers to take advantage of this last one thanks to superb strolls with foot to 300 m of the house.

Many and varied animations are organized in season, of course, but also throughout the year (truffle week end, votive festivals with guardian, dance festival, craft or wine markets, plant days, musical nights, etc ...) every Sunday fair at the flea market and fair books ....

For children (and gourmands), at the entrance of Uzes, is the historic site of Haribo and its museum of candy ...,

In the surroundings you will find many villages renowned for their character and beauty, as well as a beautiful nature, allowing the cultivation of famous products (olive oil, fruits, vegetables) and well known for its wines.

Nearby, the Gard bridge, classified World Heritage by Unesco and its beautiful park.

Uzès is ideally placed to discover many sought after destinations: Nîmes (25 km), Avignon (35 km), Isle sur la Sorgue, Les Baux de Provence, Anduze and its famous bambouseraie, the Cévennes, Arles (65 km), the Mediterranean (Grau du Roi or La Grande Motte 68km), Marseille (1h30) ......
