Fully renovated historic home and studio in the heart of the quaint village of Galisteo. This home has the charm of the 1880’s New Mexican Territorial, updated with all the modern amenities and spaces for modern living for your stay in the Land of Enchantment New Mexico. This home boasts 4 gracious bedrooms and 4 beautifully appointed bathrooms. There is a king suite and a queen suite, both with a fireplace. A queen bedroom with a fireplace, and a bedroom with twin beds that can be converted to a king. The house has 6 beautiful fireplaces. There are two TV/Family rooms to hang out plus a formal living room. These also provide additional sleeping spaces. A fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a large island that allows for fun experiences that can be shared by others helping or watching. For those that want to entertain, there is a formal dining room, wonderful outdoor spaces with a chef level gas grill and more casual dining in the nook connected to the kitchen.

There is also a detached casita (VRBO #1562227) that boasts great artist space or space to sleep 2 to 4 more. The casita has a bedroom and full bath, as well as minimalist kitchen. Rent both spaces for your larger group connections and functions.

This property is set up for all sorts of entertainment, whether that be hosting a wedding, a reception, a group retreat or just hanging out with those important to you. The home and studio are both equipped with WiFi and high speed internet and lots of private spaces to relax or to work, if you have to.

One hour from Albuquerque and just 25 minutes to the Santa Fe plaza, this one of a kind property offers easy access to most New Mexico treasures while providing the allure and peacefulness of a traditional New Mexico village with the majestic Galisteo basin as the backdrop. A photographers dream, the surrounding country of the Galisteo Basin is breathtaking. Perfect getaway

Yet again, our stay here did not disappoint. Its the ideal location just far enough from Sante Fe and other areas of interest. The house and adjoining casita are just perfect for a group or family. The space overall provides room to spread out, with separate seating areas to read, play games, entertain, gather(inside and out)...the list goes on. We will continue to make this our favorite getaway destination.

Wishing to Return!

This is a beautifully renovated, comfortable, historic home and we were grateful to be able to stay. It has a distinct sense of place and is tastefully decorated. We particularly enjoyed the fireplaces, the living spaces, and viewing stars without light pollution. We hope to be able to rent this again on our next trip to the Santa Fe area.

Truly enchanting property!

My family was in need of a quiet place to hang out together following a week of hectic work travel - 914 exceeded all expectations! This gorgeous, beautifully restored, light and art filled antique property is (we all agree) the nicest vacation rental we have ever experienced. We loved exploring the village of Galisteo and hiking on nearby trails, and the drive to Santa Fe was only about 25 minutes. It was cold the week we were there and the adobe fireplaces were just the place to relax after a day of adventuring. The logistics (check in and out) were all super easy and the hosts very responsive. We would love to return one day soon!

Fun Getaway

The house was even cooler than the pictures. Plenty of room and items to do while hanging out there (like board games). It's only about 25 minutes from Madrid and Santa Fe for fun activities but also a great place to relax.

Family get-away

We visited my mother in law who lives in santa fe. All of us had our own comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We had enough space and the yard was great for kids and our dog. I want to go back!

The Gem of Galisteo

Perfect location! Beautifully restored home. For a quick weekend getaway or staying a little longer this home offers everything for families or friends. It is spacious and offers great places(inside and out) to gather together or find a place to settle into a comfy couch and watch tv or a separate space to read a book or play games. This is our second time at this property and we plan to make it our go-to place every time we travel to Sante Fe. It truly is a gem.

Amazing Home

This property was a home for us. I traveled with my sisters her husband and 3 college aged sons and their friend from England, We all had our own personal space, but also had plenty of communal spaces in the two TV rooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen. The outdoor spaces were divine. When we realized we didn’t have a way to toast marshmallows for our s’mores, one text message brought coat hangers and pliers within 20 minutes. We were close enough to Santa Fe and Albuquerque for entertainments there, but had a haven to come home to. The hot tub was a nice added surprise.

Beautiful Historic Home Outside Santa Fe

This gorgeous, 1880s remodeled home is 20 minutes outside Santa Fe and has Galisteo Basin hiking, walks around historic Galisteo, and a Thurs-Sun cowboy saloon in nearby Los Cerrillos. It was wonderful to stay here with our group of 6 family members from around the country for a birthday celebration. The house is big and beautiful and very comfortable with a large, well-appointed kitchen to cook together, a dining room for all of us to eat together, and multiple sitting rooms for chatting, TV, and a puzzle when it rained. The host leaves condiments/spices available making it even more convenient! Each bedroom has its own bathroom with great showers and soft towels. Bedrooms are big with comfortable beds, chairs, desks, working fireplaces, their own heater/AC units, and beautiful linens. The decorating touches are just amazing. The sitting area outside is very comfortable and large, and the large, gas grill out back works great. There is even a hot tub! I can't say enough about how beautiful and comfortable this home is and what a lovely respite it was each evening after days touring Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos, and Bandelier.

New Mexico Vacation

This place was amazing! The best VRBO that i have ever stayed in. The hosts were very friendly and they thought of everything for their place. The house was absolutely beautiful and the decor was amazing. Every detail was thought of and it was very homey. It was a little far out from santa fe but it allowed us to relax and enjoy the outdoors spaces arouns the house. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

Quite location

My daughter, granddaughter, and I visited New Mexico for a few days and this home was great!We had more than enough room for each of us, we had our own bedroom and bathroom and a quite place to go when needing rest from a bust day of hiking, shopping in Santa Fe, and traveling. A beautiful quite place.The beds were comfortable, along with the bedding. More then enough towels available. And beautifully decorated with furniture and art that I would expect from the area.I was so appreciative that Marcella dropped a cooler off for us to use for a couple of our day trips for us to use.This lovely home had everything we needed for a very comfortable and welcoming stay.We did have a couple of issues one was having hot water only for about 5 minutes in any of the showers and, no the showers were not bring used at the same time, however we didn't mention it between us until our last night, and the fireplaces each have their own instruction and following instruction of turning gas valve several times ( which I felt us why to much gas building up to use a lighter to start) there was a mishap using the gas to assist the starting process and a fireball blew back. I think the instruction should be made clear as to turning valve one 1 turn 2 turns ect. as several is vague and implies 7.Although we had a couple of issues Marcella was quick to respond, so I do stand behind my 5 stars that I have.

The Best Vbro stay!!!

A beautifuly renovated historic home loaded with art, charm, and so many extras! We had a group of 7 and we also rented the Casita which is part of the property. They provided so many extras, coffee, snacks, soaps, all cooking needs. It’s located in a quiet area with a 20 minute drive to a grocery store, food, shops. A great location for exploring in any direction of New Mexico. Our trip was 2 weeks ago and I am still talking about how beautiful this home is. The communication with the owner was quick and responsive! For our group of 7 we had more than enough room to gather and yet have privacy. We picked a new space each morning to sit and have coffee. The sunsets and rain storms were great to watch from the area. We loved it and would stay again!!

Dream house in New Mexico

This house is fantastic! It is spacious and comfortable, whether you're cooking for 8 in the roomy kitchen, watching a movie in one of the THREE living rooms, or working a puzzle on the dining room table. The bedrooms are all beautiful and there are 4 full bathrooms (2 en suite) so each of our four couples had their own privacy. The furnishings are cozy and inviting and the framed artwork and room decor are just the icing on the cake. Our hosts were gracious, responsive and generous with amenities and snacks. None of us wanted to leave and we will definitely be back.
