Two-room duplex renovated with original exposed beams in the characteristic context of an old paper mill of the early '800 located on Lake Maggiore between Meina and Lesa. Here you will find a unique environment where you can enjoy peace and contact with nature. The property is an ideal accommodation for a relaxing holiday and a starting point for tourist excursions. The apartment is in a strategic position to visit Lake Maggiore, where the tourist resorts of Stresa are located with the much vaunted Borromean Islands, Baveno, Meina, Arona, Cannobbio, Cannero Riviera, Lake Orta, Lake Mergozzo . To the north are the Ossola Valley Mountains with the famous tourist resorts of Macugnaga, Formazza, Val Vigezzo, Switzerland, the city of Milan, the prestigious Golf courses Borromeo and Castelconturbia. The Lake Maggiore area offers ample opportunities for tourists throughout the year: in spring you can see the beautiful flowers of the Borromeo Gulf Islands parks, in summer the beaches of the seaside resorts on the lake and the hiking trails in the many protected areas near Verbania, including the Val Grande National Park. In winter it is possible to ski in the Mottarone, Domobianca or other Valle dell'OOssola resorts.

Sehr ruhige, gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung liegt sehr ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse, in einem Wäldchen. Wir waren im Sommer dort und die Luft war immer etwas frischer als direkt am Seeufer. Die Wohnung war liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gut mit allem ausgestattet (Spülmittel, Gewürze, Putzmittel etc.). Die Vermieterin Monica war gut erreichbar und sogar so freundlich, Lebensmittel für die ersten Mahlzeiten bereitzustellen. Das Doppelbett war bequem. Die Erreichbarkeit mit dem Auto ist sehr gut.

Flat in a quiet place with everything needed (wash machine, iron, hair dryer and TV). It is 10 km from Stresa (well place to visit Boromeo islands). A car is needed. A special thanks to Monica who provide the 1rst breakfast. A lot of information about activities, restaurants and what to visit are available. Try the restaurant La Vecchia Scuola in Solcio, a few kilometers from Meina.

Quiet Peaceful Italian Apartment

This two room apartment is located on a small, private and quiet roadway. It is in a small complex that used to be a paper mill and is now apartments. It is not fancy, but a typical and traditional italian apartment. There were not many people around when we were there in May and it was very quiet. The complex overlooks Lake Maggiore. There is a small balcony and the apartment is two levels with the bedroom and bathroom being upstairs. In addition, there is a staircase to get up to the apartment. The apartment contains all amenities needed as far as an equipped kitchen, iron, hair dryer and TV. You need a car to get around as the apartment is not located within a town, however the towns of Meina and Lesa are just a 5-10 minute car ride away and the larger towns of Stresa and Arona are 15-20 minutes by car. Milan is about a hour car ride as is Lake Como. You can also get a taxi but due to the location of the apartment I would strongly recommend your own car. It is not easy to walk to the nearby towns since the only main roadway is busy and does not have a walking path. The owner is lovely and accommodating. She and her fiance met us at the property upon arrival and showed us around. She was available by phone if we needed anything during our stay and was always quick to answer emails before, during and after our stay.

Excellente location auprès de Monica.

Excellent accueil auprès de Monica, très chaleureuse et veillant au bien être de ces hôtes. L'appartement très propre et surtout très proche de la ville de Stresa, a permis un accès facile d'embarcation pour se rendre aux îles Boromées du Lac Majeur. Nous conseillons fortement cette location dans ce lieu insolite. Nous y retournerons bien volontiers.

logement parfait

Logement très tranquille, au dessus, mais à 5 minutes du lac Majeur. Appartement très bien équipé; rien ne manque si on veut cuisiner. Les produits de base : pain céréales, .eau,sucre, lait, thé ,café, huile.... sont fournis. Le Wifi est présent et fonctionne sans problèmes. Monica parle français et est très accueillante.
