This is great house for a family or a group that doesn't mind bunk beads. Plenty of room in the open living room/dining room. Only issue was hot tub didn't work the first night, but it was fixed right away. Super easy key pick up and drop off as it is right down the street.
Great home to stay at and a short walk or drive to the lifts. Heateing is good, beds were comfortable, appliances worked. Little things that I’ve grown accustomed to, like the coffee makers (both) did not work and good shower heads came into play since we were there for a few days but outside of that this home was good

I was very unhappy with this place. Once I arrived, we noticed a lot of the bed sheets had animal hair all over them. Even the couch in the living room. I called that same day and asked them to change the sheets and clean the couch. It did not happen. We had to remove the bed sheets and had to lay towels over the couch to be able to sit. Nobody got in touch with me to fix this the whole time I was there. Horrible place to stay
I was never alerted by host that a third party was going to contact me under a different name. I lost out on the weekend. When I brought up this issue they dismissed me. Then when trying to receive a credit or refund I was told tough luck and even if I didn’t fill out there contract they were still going to keep my money with out providing the service. They were very rude on the phone when I was actually able to get in contact with there main office.

Great location, nice house that needs repairs, no reply from owner, poor replies from prop mgmt
We arrived on a Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon discovered the stove didn’t work. Called 5-Star (this is a 3rd party rental management) and they said they would take care of it. But we got no response by mid-day the following day, so we called again. A repairman was sent after a 2nd or 3rd call. He confirmed the stove was broken and said he’d report the problem and try to get someone who could get the part to fix it and would get back to us. We heard nothing again. This time we called VRBO for help. The calls to them and 5-Star continued even after we left the rental 5 days later. We never received a call back; we never had a working stove. Response to our multiple inquiries/complaints were that we would be notified after contact with either their supervisors or the owner and the problem would be reported.
Looking back on the reviews we now see the broken stove was reported in July, at least 2 weeks before our arrival along with a report of a mouse in the kitchen. Ultimately, we got no satisfaction from VRBO or 5-Star Realty and no response from the owner. Overall, Customer service stunk. The customer service staff (Rachael, Ashley, Kathleen) were always nice and promised to bump up to supervisors but never returned our calls or gave us any follow up as to what was being done to resolve the situation.
Insult to injury was mistakenly leaving a drawer full of expensive cycling clothes. More calls made and got back the same type of replies ("We'll check; will call you back; will contact the Cleaning Service, etc.) until a week later being told that after three days the clothes would have been donated!
We enjoyed our stay overall and the place satisfied our needs.
Pros: location, price, pool table, spa, deck, roomy with lots of beds, everything we needed in the kitchen, clean
Cons: outside needs tlc (bear has fallen over and side fence was gone, exposing the spa to the street), no instructions for tv use, had dvd player but no remote, asked about remote via email with no reply, discovered mouse in house on last day.
Overall our stay was good and the cons didn't bother us too much. We had a nice stay and loved the location.
We had a wonderful week staying at this house would stay again. The house was very clean and has good amenities. Definitely needs some
Work tho. The oven doesn’t work unless on broil there is mice under the fridge and oven and the outside grill doesn’t work. But overall had a wonderful time here
We did a fundraiser at Bear Mountain Ski Resort and this house was in the perfect location for us to enjoy our home away from home and enough rooms for all of us to have our space.
There is a bird creating a home in the side of the house near the master bedroom window. It pecks a hole into the home throughout all hours of the night keeping residents up. This needs to be corrected.
The property was situated in a perfect location for anyone looking for convenient access to Bear Mountain. It is situated away from the high traffic areas near the mountain, but the quiet location was just a short walk to the lifts. It had everything our group needed for a quick ski weekend. Would absolutely stay here again.
Loved the proximity to the ski resort, that make our trip so enjoyable over the New Years holiday week! Property looked bigger online than it was and the dishwasher was broken but other than that we had an amazing trip!
Perfect getaway with the family. Plenty of space. Plenty of beds. Nice big kitchen, beautiful deck under the trees, cozy living room, easy access to hiking trails, location was far enough away from things, but still close enough to get to town. I would def. stay here again.

The property is great for large parties and is close to slopes. That is a plus. Not all of us went to slopes and the TVs service said it had to be connected. We were not able to use the TVs and missed all the NFL games that we were wanting to watch as well as anything else. I called the management and they said they would have someone call me right away and no one ever did.

Fixer upper
Pictures definitely was not what it actually looked liked. The property had so many issues. First we couldn’t play pool because the table was so off balanced. Second it was dirty. The upstairs shower still had hair and the door was broken. The doors also all locked by themselves. The patio door was broken so we could never lock it. The sheets were dirty still. A lot of hair was on almost on the beds. Kinda freaked me out because I don’t like loose people hair, especially when it’s not my own. The power went out for three hours and the house wasn’t equipped for it. They also didn’t have a shovel for when we got snowed in. The kitchen was lacking so much. Barely any cooking utensils, the dishwasher was broken and had water that had been sitting for so long. It was hard to keep the house warm. I probably wouldn’t stay at this location again.

The location was beautiful, the house was nice however the home needs lots home improvements
The home was very nice the location and scenery simply beautiful, however the home needs home improvements the lighting in the kitchen was terrible not much light on the deck, no lights where the jacuzzi is located , the front door gets jammed also the back door was hard to open or close the, shower door in one of the bathrooms would get jammed some of the furniture was not up to standards especially the seating in the eating area .
The location of the house is just fine but the house itself needs lots of love and care. The walkway leading to the house is broken. The patio sliding door is broken and the patio screen door is broken with holes in the screen. NONE of the window blinds in the house operate so we had to find towels to place by the windows for privacy. There was a huge bee hive in the outside patio garden next to the hot tub so we couldn't use the hot tub. Rodents all over the place, in the walls and in the kitchen. All contracts with Five star rentals say that they cannot control the rodents and that any refunds re rodents cannot be honored. Kitchen stove exhaust fan broken and 2 spots on the gas range not working so house smells musty and of food. The customer service call out was friendly but honestly the owner needs to invest some $ in the house. It is very run down and the property description and photos are NOT an accurate portrayal of the home. Stayed in another home for less money, property managed by the owner himself. Experience was much better.
Cabin was perfect for our family getaway! Plenty of room for everyone (we had a party of 10), walking distance to Bear Mountain and great sledding location just a short walk the opposite direction.
Nice big great room so everyone was in the same place even if they weren’t necessarily doing the same thing. Some could play a game while others played pool or watched a movie/tv. Spa was great after a day of snowboarding.
Kitchen could use a little help as there weren’t enough forks for everyone and the pots and pans could use updating. While the beds were great the mattresses on the bunks could use replacing. But nothing we couldn’t overcome or that would keep us from coming back!
Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful home with us! Would highly recommend and visit again.

Close to slopes
Literally walking distance to bear mountain. The dog run advertised is not a secure dog run. Had to buy our own spices/seasonings and oils to cook with. Master room view is gorgeous. Furniture is a little worn down: pool table shows wear as do some rugs, sofa, etc. I’m a horrible sleeper but I slept really well in these beds! I called the VRBO twice: one time no answer. It rang and rang. No VM set up either. The second time, someone answered and hung up on me.
Upon arrival, caution tape was strung across front entrance. No dressers or hangers for guests. Carpets in bedrooms nasty and stained with grease. Blinds broken. No working TVs in several rooms. Electrical outlets not working, until we reset the breaker box. Back slider door wouldn’t open or close easily and no working lock on it, so we couldn’t secure the place to leave. Not enough utensils for guest maximum. Nasty old pans, in kitchen...not enough prep bowls. Master jacuzzi tub spewed black grit and dirt. Home was obviously in need of general maintenance, updating and TLC. Outdoor jacuzzi tucked back in a corner, not a great location...one toilet rocked when sat on, maintenance fixed the lock but couldn’t fix the sliding door, which my husband and son spent part of there vacation repairing it. Good location near slopes, but would not recommend this house unless it was maintained properly and set up properly to accommodate guests with essentials.
Great place, needs a bit more attention in some areas
Place was nice, but had a few things that could have been addressed.
The toilet upstairs in the master bathroom was pretty rocky/loose. There were 2 screens missing from the kitchen and dining room windows, with a damaged screen on the master bathroom. The carpets in some areas were in pretty bad shape. The Jacuzzi also had issues turning off and turning back on a lot.
Otherwise, everything else was great. Location is prime for hiking (and skiing in the winter) and there is plenty of room for larger parties. There is a grill in the back patio as well.
The size, layout and location of this cabin were outstanding. The furnishings are a bit tired looking and well worn. Navigating the overgrown landscaping and the tangled hoses around the hot tub proved challenging to say the least. The garbage disposal did not work upon arrival and a repairman came promptly and recommended not putting food bits down the disposal. Isn’t that the purpose of a disposal? Chicken wired fence pieces with No Trespassing signs did not make the environment very inviting. Some wire was protruding as were several screws in the tired decking! The chair pads on the outdoor furniture were disintegrating to the point that they left white “dust” on our clothing. There was no furniture on the quaint front porch so we purchased lawn chairs from a local hardware store. This once lovely home has become a tired, neglected piece of property. The owner only needs to invest a little time and money to bring it back to its glory days.
