Our mountain home has fun activity for everyone. On the main floor there is an 85" big screen TV with surround sound for movies. We have log pool table. There is also a collection of board games, and books for children and adults.
You can enjoy lake views from our 2 elevated decks with gas BBQ, patio seating and rocking chairs. You cane relax in the hot tub while soaking in the view.
3 of our 4 bedrooms have lake views and access to deck and their own smart TVs. Multiple sleeping arrangement options, with floor mattress, air mattresses, sleeper sofas and Graco pack n' play with infant sling to accommodate the needs of any group.
Enjoy cooking in the Chef's kitchen with 36" range top, steam oven, convection microwave, warming drawer, rice cooker, mixer, blender and all cooking essentials provided.
Our home has a central heating system and AC (Upstairs Only) , operated by a smart thermostat. To make you feel at home, we have on-site washer/dryer w/ detergent, fresh and sanitized cotton linens, high quality toiletries, a hair dryer in each bathroom, and fresh slippers for each guest.
You have access to whole house, including the garage. There is ping pong table int he garage for additional fun. The garage can park one or two cars. There is an EV charger in the garage as well that can be used to charge your EV overnight. We have both Tesla and a standard J1772 plugs for this Level 2 charging connector.
Take advantage of all the festivals and events in Big Bear. This wonderful retreat is centrally located just 2 blocks from the village and walking distance to many of the events Big Bear hosts year round. Your balcony is the best seat in Big Bear Lake to watch the fourth of July fireworks off the lake. This home is set in the quiet upscale neighborhood of Ironwood Estates, offering a peaceful mountain retreat with underground utilities (i.e. less power outages). It is also within walking distance to the marina so you can enjoy the lake and the village. With a short drive (or free trolley ride) to Snow Summit and Big Bear Mountain for summer mountain biking, hiking, and skiing in the winter months, this View Haus is truly a place to relax and enjoy the best Big Bear has to offer. * Mountain Transit Trolley stop is a short walk from the house, so you can leave your car at home and avoid parking hassles at the resorts with a free ride.
RULES
We are glad you are here to enjoy the peace, tranquility and beauty of Big Bear Lake and Ski Resorts. This property is a privately owned and managed vacation rental.
Guest must be at least 25 years old to book, and the person making the reservation must check-in in person with valid ID, as part of the check in -process as required by the city of Big Bear.
Unless otherwise specified, check-in time is between 3pm and 8pm, and check-out time is 11am. Our concierge agent will open and inspect the property prior to your arrival to ensure the home is ready for your stay. The property is also inspected upon your departure.
If you have any concerns about your stay, you are welcome to contact your hosts. For 24/7 emergencies, maintenance, and housekeeping issues - including help with property access and departure questions - please call our concierge agent at number provided at check-in.
Stays longer than 28 days require a residential lease and are not subject to occupancy taxes. We also offer discounts for long stays, so please contact us if you are interested in a longer term stay.
SECURITY CAMERAS
- There are security cameras surrounding the building for safety and to monitor compliance of city occupancy and noise ordinances.
OCCUPANCY
- We can legally accommodate the lesser of:
a) 16 total occupants of any age at any time
b) 10 adult overnight guests
- Please let us know your total guest count. Each undisclosed guest is subject to a - $200 per person per night Charge. No parties. Undisclosed guests exceeding maximum occupancy may also result in city imposed fines and immediate eviction, without refund. Occupancy rules are set by the City of Big Bear Lake and we can not bend them.
PETS
- Pets are welcome and additional pet fees and security deposit are required.
- Each pet - $75 per pet per stay
- 2 pets maximum.
- Each undisclosed pet - $150 per pet in additional to the pet fees.
- Pets are not allowed on any furniture, particularly beds and couches.
- Sofa covers, lint rollers, and a steam cleaner are all provided at the property if your pet can stay down or has an accident. Please be considerate of future guests who may have allergies, etc.
SNOW/ICE
Chains and 4-wheel drive recommended during winter months. We have a large sloped driveway that can be icy in the winter. The drive is partially heated and plowed daily when accumulation is over 4". There is a heated walkway from side parking to the garage for additional safety and convenience. Sand and gravel can also be used on icy spots. Details in house manual.
PARKING
There is parking for 5 cars on site and up to 2 more in the garage. Please park only on West side of driveway and keep driving lane clear for neighbor. If more than 5 cars, it will result in fines and immediate eviction without refund.
TRASH
- As required by the city of Big Bear, guests will have to take their trash to one of two city-provided dump sites during their stay.
- Any leftover trash - $80 charge per bag
ACCESS
- Main access is via staircase. Guest must be able to use stairs. There is an elevator on site, but it is out of service.
OTHER ADDITIONAL CHARGES
- Carpet stain - $50 to $200 depending on size
- Moving the pool table - $500 fines
- Polluting Hot Tub - $100 for drain and fill
- Damage to property – TBD depending on the damage
MUST COMPLY WITH CITY VACATION ORDINACE
1) Max 5 cars parked on site. No street parking.
2) Max occupancy 15 persons at any time.
3) Max overnight guests is 10 adults or 15 total adults and kids.
4) Music is to be playing indoors. No amplified sound is to be audible at the property line.
5) No use of outdoor spa past 10 pm or any activity that disturbs the peace at that time.
6) Any party wedding or gathering exceeding occupancy limits needs city manager approval.
8) all guests must sign the Good Neighbor Policy at or before check-in.
9) Trash may not be stored on site at any time. All trash must be taken to a Clean Bear site.
10) Incessant barking from dogs heard beyond the property line is prohibited.
Fines and eviction are possible for violation of city regulations. Guests will be responsible for all fines and will not be refunded if evicted.
Occupancy and noise restrictions will be monitored with surveillance cameras and noise detectors surrounding the property during your stay.
Other RULES:
- Must be at least 25 to book and receive Keys. The person making reservation must present their ID at check in.
- No smoking is allowed inside the house. Mounted ash can available on main floor deck
- Use cloth placemats for hot food on any surface
- Use coaster for cold/hot drink on any surface
- Please use slippers in the house
- Shared driveway always requires clear access to neighboring home. Parking on the right (west) side of driveway only
- No outdoor fires are permitted anywhere in Big Bear
- In case of possible city power outage, use flashlights and emergency lights which can also be used as flashlights
- Damage to property during stay must be reported immediately
- Set thermostats to 55 degrees before departure
