Welcome to a Paw Paw Lake (big) home

Welcome to our all season completely furnished Big Paw Paw Lake vacation home, situated on a channel of Big Paw Paw Lake which will provide privacy, yet easy access to the lake. There is a wooden pier for fishing in the channel. Your boat can be tied to the pier for easy access.
Paw Paw Lake is a 900 acre inland lake with 13 miles of picturesque shoreline to explore. This is one of the premier inland lakes in Southwest Michigan and is fully recreational, including excellent fishing, power and sail boating, swimming, water skiing, jet-skiing and tubing. Boat, jet-ski, kayak, and paddle board rentals may be available from local stores/marinas.

Paw Paw Lake is only a 90 minute drive from Chicago, 15 minutes from St. Joseph, 20 minutes from South Haven 40 minutes from Saugatuck, and 3 hours from Detroit. Sandy beaches abound on Lake Michigan, many in close proximity. The Southwest Michigan Wine Country Trail is throughout the area. Nine local breweries are within 15-30 minutes if beer is more of your thing! A Four Winds casino is just minutes away. Amazing golf courses are nearby, as well as shopping if you are in the mood. Even a drive in theater is nearby!
This is on the outskirts of Coloma where you will find restaurants, grocery store, bars, movie theater, gas stations, pharmacy, and a hardware store. You can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at the many stands nearby.
This house is comfortable for your family with 3 bedrooms, which sleep 8. The king master bedroom is on the first floor with it’s own master bath. A bedroom on the second floor has 1 queen size bed. The other bedroom has a queen size bed and 2 twin beds. A full bath is shared by these bedrooms. A full guest bathroom is also on the first floor. Relax in the living room with comfy furniture, flat panel TV with a DVD player. Bring your favorites or choose from our collection. The sleeper couch will sleep 2 more guests. The dining room has a large farmhouse table and 3 stools for the counter. The fully furnished kitchen features a French door refrigerator, electric stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, silverware and cookware. A washer/dryer set is on the main floor for your convenience. Dish network and wifi are included. We provide all linens, towels, paper towels and even the toilet paper. Central air will make your summer more comfortable.
The backyard has a large fenced deck which makes it an ideal outdoor living space with a gas grill, picnic table, loveseat and chair set, and a relaxing gas firepit. A screened in gazebo will protect you in case of rain.
This is a no smoking home.
Pets: No pets are allowed at any time
Minimum stay : 7 nights from Memorial Day to Labor Day
3 nights may be available during off season
Cleaning fee of $140
Refundable security deposit: $250.00

Comfortable lake getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious and clean property! Having 3 bathrooms was wonderful, along with a full, well-stocked kitchen. The deck is very relaxing, as well as the cozy living room with plenty of room for family movie night (not to mention the supply of DVDs!). Garage access was also very convenient. Host is very responsive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

Great long weekend!

We came out this way for a girls and winery weekend. This house and the area did not disappoint! The biggest bummer was having to leave after 4 days. The house was clean with everything you would need. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Centrally located to St. Joseph's and South Haven, not to mention all the wineries. We all loved it here and plan to return again soon since there's so much more to see and do! Thank you to our host!!

Perfect Paw Paw Lake Rental

Our Paw Paw Lake rental was wonderful!! The deck is perfect for relaxing and visiting.; however, it was too warm for us to use the firepit:(. Each adult couple had their own bedroom and bathroom (3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms) which was perfect. I did not know how peaceful the evenings really were on Paw Paw Lake until I returned home. Coloma had everything we needed…restaurants, pharmacy, grocery store, etc.. It was a little slice of paradise. We thoroughly enjoyed Mona’s Paw Paw Lake home. It’s a long drive from Texas but we hope to return in future:)

Beautiful Lake House & Great Location

House was absolutely wonderful! Owners checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything and check in process went smooth. So many extras from cooking spices, coffee, beach supplies, life jackets, fishing poles, to fans in every single room. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels. The Porch was amazing with a enclosed gazebo for dinner, along with a beautiful gas fireplace. Neighborhood is quiet and very safe to enjoy morning walks. Restaurant within walking distance and grocery store just a mile down the road. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you for the great house.

Perfect weekend at the lake!!

We looked and looked and LOOKED for a house on a Lake in Michigan and we finally found this gem! Mona had the best communication and was so nice and easy to work with. We were a little worried because we had several vehicles and boat trailers, but we were able to fit everything in the garage/driveway. The house was very neat and clean when we got there. There was plenty of towels/pillows/blankets. This house had it all! We couldn’t have been happier. Thanks again, Mona!

Wonderful central location

We made a mini family vacay out of being in town for a wedding in Benton Harbor. It was a great location for day trips to St Joe, South Haven and Saugatuk. IT was so nice to have a big, comfy house to come back to after a day of shopping and sight seeing, and all have space to spread out and take naps. The deck was so relaxing to listen to the birds, watch the boats go by and have a fire in the gas firepit too. The canal water looked pretty dirty and it was not hot enough to swim either, but we would not have swam there is it was. The big lake is around the corner, but no direct access if you don't have a boat. However many beautiful beaches close by on Lake Michigan. The house itself is clean, bright and cozy, beds were plenty and comfy, nice to have 3 showers also! Only issue was not able to get the firepit started at first and owners responded immediately to help us. If returning to the area, would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful get away home.

Absolutely Amazing!

This home was absolutely amazing for our weekend trip to Paw Paw lake. We 3 families with all with small children and there was plenty of room! The home was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. Communication with the owner was excellent. It was a perfect trip to end our summer! We also loved the enclosed deck and hanging out by the fire at night. We will absolutely book again!

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was updated and extremely clean. Mona was very easy and pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend booking this house if you want readily available access to the lake and a nice place to come back to after a day out. There was a very nice gas fire pit for late night relaxing and a gazebo for when it rained. I can't express enough how happy we were that we booked this house for this trip.

Mitchell Family Vacation

Our family has enjoyed rental homes on Paw Paw Lake for many years. This year's rental was by far our favorite! The home was clean, bright, and offered a quiet location with friendly year-round neighbors nearby. The owner was very responsive whenever we reached out, whether by email or text. Although we did not take advantage, the owners provided non perishable food items and toiletries in case of need. The fireplace on the deck made for a cozy place to relax after a busy day on the water. We will definitely rent this home again, and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a vacation on beautiful Paw Paw Lake!

Mona’s vacation home is a wonderful place to vacation. She is always around to answer any questions and so quick to respond. I felt like she was my new friend when we left. The home is super clean with everything you need and has a beautiful view with a nice deck for your morning coffee. I would give this home a five star +. If you need a place to stay on paw paw lake, this is the place to rent.

Much needed family vacation

Mona was wonderful, the house was clean and beautiful!!! We stayed 7 days and loved each day!!! Such a beautiful area with so much to do!!! Our kids had the time of the lives!!! We are definitely coming back!!!

Great Downtime

We enjoy taking some family downtime together around Christmas time and this property accomodated us well. There was room in the dining area for us to setup a card table to do puzzles separate from the dining table. Plenty of beds and having 3 bathrooms is a benefit as well. There was a lot of extras in the kitchen and a nice movie collection to choose from. Lastly, the owner was a great communicator, which ia always appreciated. We certainly enjoyed our time here!

“Little Slice of Heaven”

This home was absolutely wonderful! The house is located on a canal of Paw Paw Lake in a quiet residential area. Beautiful setting! The deck was a great place for the 6 of us to gather in the evenings for quiet conversation and fun. Mornings on the deck with a cup was one of my favorite parts! We visited 13 wineries in the area over 3 days. Central location of the house was excellent for this endeavor. I cannot say enough positive about the house or our hostess, Mona. She kept in contact with me for several weeks before and during our stay to help make this a memorable weekend for our family. Mona referred to her home as a “little slice of heaven”. Indeed it is! We would definitely stay here again!!!! 😁

Couldn’t ask for better!

This place was absolutely as described and perfect for a couples’ getaway with our friends. Mona is easily available via text and promptly replied to our questions. Also, the home is well stocked and had everything we needed. We spent days in South Haven and St. Joseph. Both were close and easy to get to. We can’t wait to come back!
