My partner and our dogs had a wonderful time in La Salle and our stay here was exactly what we needed to a couple days of hiking and sightseeing. It was especially accommodating for our dogs and they loved the fenced-in backyard. Would recommend to anyone traveling to this area :)

This property was in the perfect location for our Starved Rock State Park getaway. We brought our Labrador Finnley and she felt right at home, as did we. We loved the fenced in backyard for Finnley. We were able to send her outside and relax. The decor is adorable and was house was plenty spacious for 2 adults and a dog. Nice little touches and amenities throughout the property. We had everything that we needed in our home away from home. We highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again if we’re in the area.

finding places that are pet friendly are key to our travels, so if they trust me to bring my pets in their home, their home will get my respect during my stay. Everything was very clean and I did not have any issues but had the contact information needed if we needed it.

The property was clean. But things in the home were uncomfortable & pieced together. For example, the lamps in the bedrooms were tiny & wobbly. The pillows & beds were uncomfortable. The dishwasher ran, but didn’t clean the dishes. The spare bedroom is on the first floor & was supposed to be for my 95 year old grandmother, but because the bed was so close to the door & the wall, she wasn’t able to get in or out of it, so she had to sleep on the couch. The back door didn’t lock. I did not feel comfortable during this stay.

Great place and location!

We stayed here for a few days to hike several trails in the area. The location was perfect and the place was terrific! The check in and out process was seamless. We highly recommend this place.

Quick hiking trip

The property is well maintained, and the host is incredibly easy to contact. Super close to both state parks. Highlighly recommend visiting Tangled Roots Brewingand Star Union Distilling.

Great house for a hiking adventure at Starved Rock and Mathiessen. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and we ate on the lovely deck out back. The fenced yard was a wonderful bonus that allowed our dog to live his best life outside with us. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location

Loved that this is close to all the cute river towns and hiking. The place was very clean and comfortable! It was fun hanging in the back fenced in yard and grilling some steaks with a fire going in the fire pit! Would stay again!

Charming and quirky home perfect for a getaway with friends! Loved the fire pit and cooking in the spacious kitchen as well as dining outside on the large deck. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and the host was even kind enough to leave a little gift bag for them - so sweet! Having bedrooms on separate levels was a big plus for privacy. Would stay again.

Quaint little house

A friend and I stayed at this quaint little house for the weekend. The house is a quick easy drive to Starved Rock and Mathieson State Park. The neighborhood was quiet and close to some excellent restaurants!

Great little house

House is cute and quirky with everything we needed for our too short trip to hike at Starved Rock. Outdoor space was our favorite and something we look for in a rental. Host supplied lots of great info on the area which was helpful. Would definitely rent again!!
